Love this place! Brittany helped me find a dress for my wedding with 5-6 weeks notice and it was stunning! She is so kind, very respectful of my privacy while changing but attentive to all my needs. We purchased my wedding gown and a dress for my husbands teenage daughter. They also did a complimentary steam before the wedding! 5-stars y’all!! Thank you.

Let me just start by saying that the owner of Shades of White, Dawn, is one of the most kind and amazing women Ive ever had the pleasure of meeting! I went to several other bridal shops before discovering SOW. Most of the other shops I went to were either rude or very high pressure. There was none of that at SOW. I tried on several dresses and quickly found a designer (Kitty Chen) that I was in love with. I found a dress on their website and Dawn was able to hunt down a sample for me to try on. She even went out of her way to let me come try it on after hours. Of course, it was the one and I ended up ordering it. Not only did Dawn help me find my dream dress, she also helped me with my bouquet. Im not sure what it would have looked like if I had to make it all by myself! She definitely saved the day on more than one occasion! I am forever thankful for discovering her shop and making a great friend in the process! You can tell that she truly has a passion for and loves what she does! It was almost impossible for me to narrow it down to the few photos Im attaching with this review! That dress, the train, the bouquet, it was all so perfect!

Shades of White Bridal was, hands down, the best gown experience I had. I had gone to several other shops in the greater Houston area as well as looked around online. I love that they are a local business! They gave me a personalized experience! They had my name on a welcome board outside and listened carefully as I described my wedding. Their shop was small, which made it feel very intimate, but they had plenty of dresses! My party had comfortable places to sit and the shop honored my price range. Dawn and her staff were extremely helpful (getting on dresses is hard!) they also allowed me to try on several accessories with the dress I selected, even though I did not plan to buy any. Dawn was extremely helpful after I purchased as well. She helped me find a seamstress for alterations and gave some suggestions for dress cleaning. I highly recommend this local gem for finding your dream gown!

Brittany was BEYOND AMAZING!She made me feel special, beautiful and like a true bride to be! The treatment here, beat all others by a land slide!! Even my maid of honor said she will be coming here when she gets engaged! Prices are very reasonable too! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!!! Loved, loved, loved my experience. My maid of honor and I had the BEST experience here, by far!Right off the bat, the little signs they had out front welcoming brides by name added such a sweet & personal touch. Then, IT SMELLED AMAZING as soon as we stepped in (Ill be back regularly just for the car fresheners it came from). We were early for the appointment, but Brittany was quick to tend to us. She was INCREDIBLE to say the least; she went over the details from my questionnaire, asked more questions about the wedding and what I was seeking, then let us pull dresses we wanted to see, in addition to selections to her pulling her own personal suggestions. She was so helpful and sweet, not to mention, put up with all our laughter and goofiness like a total champ! The best part of the entire experience, aside from finding THE dress, was that she not once had that salesperson pushiness or pressured me into pulling out my wallet same-day. She took my measurements and advised me to sleep on it before making such a large purchase; which was such a relief in comparison to our previous experience at another boutique.Without a doubt, I will be returning soon to order my dress and would recommend Shades of White to any bride!

I had a beyond AMAZING experience with Shades of White Bridal!! The staff is outstanding, helpful and literally the sweetest people I’ve ever met. The store is beautiful! All my appointments went smoothly, stress free and I never felt rushed. When I went in I had no clue what style dress I wanted and they were able to pull different styles for me that fit my body amazing. I found my dress on the first visit and went back a couple of days later to say YES to the dress!! It was nice to have time reserved so I was the only one in the shop trying on dresses, it made the whole experience so much more special. This shop went above and beyond expectations. From the moment you pull up, they do everything they can to make it a special experience. It felt like I was in a movie, everything was so perfect! You are the only one trying dresses on at that time so it felt extremely personal. They knew my price range and they didn’t stray from it or make me feel bad about it. The girls also did everything they could to make me feel comfortable and beautiful as I was trying on dresses, something I originally was very self cautious about. They also made my mom feel very comfortable and stress free. Finally, when we were trying to decide between 2 dresses, they didn’t pressure us at all! They even recommended leaving and thinking about it a little bit. Ultimately, we didn’t need to, but we really appreciated that they didn’t pressure us to buy something right then. From making sure the dress I choose would fit right, to making sure it would go on a plane, to making sure it could get hemmed for a reasonable price, to helping me picture what it will look like at my venue, to making sure we didn’t go over our price range AND didn’t compromise on a dress, they went above and beyond!! I cannot recommend this shop enough!

Shades of White is wonderful! They are so knowledgeable about their dresses and they are able to lead you in the right direction, I didn’t shop for my dress until 5 months before my big day and they helped me find the most beautiful dress I have ever seen and one that would definitely be there in time for my big day. I never felt pressured to make a decision and they follow up with you when the dress arrives and make sure you are completely happy! Easily the best experience I have ever had with a dress shop! I highly recommend them for your wedding dress needs!

If you’re looking to have your needs meant, Shades of White is that place !! Wonderful experience. Brittany & Rachael could not have been more helpful. Brittany was very knowledgeable, accommodating and we wanted to invite her to the Wedding before we left the shop . We bought an inexpensive off the rack dress and were still treated as if we bought the best dress in the house !!I scoped our all five bridal shops in the area the day before I made the appointment at Shades of White . This was the only shop worth returning to . I applaud you ladies, job well done !!!

I had the best experience at Shades of White Bridal. I had a month to get a dress so at that point there was no time for ordering one, I had to pick one off the rack. But after speaking with Dawn (the owner) she reassured me that wouldnt be a problem. She is so sweet & attentive. Her staff made everything so special the day of my appointment and I ended up finding the perfect dress for my big day. She went above and beyond & helped me find a bow tie and suspenders for my ring bearer (I could not find one the right color that would fit him). The women at Shades of White are an absolute dream to work with. I recommend everyone I know who is getting married or going to a formal event to go there!

The store is decorated so cute you feel so welcome from the first second you walk in! We were made very comfortable and the staff even had words of encouragement and made me feel special and beautiful ! They respect your budget! Everything about this place is fabulous!

I stopped in the shop last week looking for a last minute bridesmaid dress which they were not able to get for me with such short notice but they were extremely friendly and immediately started writing down phone numbers and directions to other bridal shops and even went as far as calling ahead for me to a particular shop. I didnt make a purchase but would definitely recommend this place if youre looking for great service.

I love this shop SO much! I highly recommend to anyone looking for a wedding dress. Seriously OUTSTANDING!I made an appointment at Shades of White just on a whim. I honestly didn’t have super high expectations but BOY was I wrong. They are by appointment only so when me and my girls arrived they locked the door behind us and treated us like royalty. The owner and her employees showered us with love, compliments, and mimosas! Ive always heard that dress shopping isnt all what its cracked out to be but we seriously had the movie perfect experience. I tried a few other dress places that were recommended and they just couldn’t compare. I was getting out of those shops as soon as I was in. Dawn keeps her shop stylish, dresses clean (big reason I didn’t like the other shops), and her professionalism on point.Fast forward to the following week after my appointment. I brought my mother in law (to be) and sister in law (to be) to see the dress and ordered it. They were both so thrilled and loved it just as much as I did!The very next day our world was shattered as my fiancé’s mom passed away suddenly in her sleep. It was truly the most traumatic thing that we have ever endured together. The only peace of mind we had about her not being here for our wedding was the fact that she was able to see me in my wedding dress the day prior.Now fast forward another week. I found out that my dream wedding dress was designed by Alfred Angelo and would not have my order fulfilled due to the fact that they were filing for bankruptcy. I instantly contacted Dawn and she was more than willing to let me pick any other dress in her store. After talking it over with my fiancé he was dead set on me having the dress that his mom saw and loved so much. The only thought I had was to see if I could just have the original dress that I had tried on. I contacted Dawn again and she said she would take that dress off of their rack and have it altered to my size free of charge. FREE. Who does that?! She is seriously a gift from God (or maybe my fiancé’s mom).When life gets crazy its truly a blessing to find such good people in this world.
