I love the staff here. They are very thorough, helpful, friendly, and quick. I have never had to wait more than 10 min for an appointment. The opticians are wonderful. Twice now they have stayed late to help my son, and my dad find the perfect pair of glasses.

Good people. I only recently started needing prescription readers. Willis eye care kinda got it wrong and super expensive. I was not impressed. The doctors at Eyeland tested and tested me then when I went to pick them up I was blown away at how well they worked right out of the box. Thanks team.

Everyone was nice! My doctor gave me great info about the Restriction A (cop can give you a ticket if you arent wearing your glasses!!) on drivers licenses. Its kind of not necessary if you have a very mild prescription. There are forms you can fill out to get the Restriction A taken off if youre near the threshold. Dont let the cops keep stealing your money yall!

Went to see Eyeland of Conroe today and the entire experience was very pleasant from the eye exam to the fitting of the frames and ordering of my lenses and i want to thank Mrs. Jill for helping me with my order she was super sweet and had the best customer service if i could give one more star i would definitely give it to her. Wow! I am blown away. I have never had a good optical experience before today and Eye Land really hit it out of the park!I hadnt made an appointment in three years because of my past experience making my eye health somewhat of a chore, but my vision I knew needed tending to so I made an appointment and I am happy I did!The whole experience from start to finish was so positive. The receptionist was warm and welcoming. The tech Kayla was so patient with me and was willing to do tests over again if I flinched. We even laughed at some of my reactions which was refreshing because sometimes it can be hard when a patient isnt cooperating. Doctor ORear was informative and quick but didnt rush.Then other Kayla while shopping for spectacles was so accommodating and didnt act annoyed when I tried on dozens of glasses. She mapped out all the pricing and was honest about my options and gave good recommendations. She even popped out sunglass frames to see if they would look good clear! Rather than focusing on my wallet she was focused on service which I really appreciated. She even offered to adjust my current glasses which kept falling off my face.All in all, I feel so cared for. It was easy to give these people my money. What tops the cake is I was only able to make my appointment Christmas Eve and the service was just as good as any other day.I recommend this clinic! Dont waste your money anywhere else.

I had not been to the eye doctor in many years. I began to see floating objects and flashes. Eyeland gave me a very thorough examination, professional and friendly, and immediately sent me to a retina specialist. They were spot on with their diagnosis as I received the care I needed immediately. Thank you to the doctor, technicians and office staff.

Luckily, my lenses were in stock so Nancy worked her magic to get my new glasses ready before I left! I’ve been a patient at a Eyeland for years and have always loved it but today proved that they really go above and beyond for their patients! I recommend them to everyone I know!

Dr. Orear is great. She is very thorough and she knows her stuff. Very caring doctor.Now on the other hand ordering glasses takes forever. There are not enough staff to help people. I sat for over 30 minutes. The service is very slow. More staff is needed.

I had my first visit with Eyeland yesterday and honestly,I was soooooo pleased with the whole experience,I cant believe I EVER went ANYwhere else!!! Dr. Awalt was friendly and still professional and showed he had a sense of humor. I highly,HIGHLY recommend Eyeland to EVRYone!!!

I have been going to Dr Awalt and Eyeland for years. I love the way we are treated in the office, by the technicians and by all the staff. They are professional with an excellent personal touch.When it comes to choosing your frames, there are cheaper routes to take, but not the personal service and professional expertise.

I work for the school CISD. I used to use TSO in Conroe. I have VSP insurance. Every year they would only let me pick through a small selection of frames for my glasses. I thought that was how it was. I would have to replace those frames 2 or 3 times a year. The frames would break so easily. Remember our insurance only helps you pay once a year. It was so upsetting. One day a lady at work told me a lot of people with the school go to Eyeland. Eyeland was a miracle. I could choose any frame in their whole store.It was like Christmas. It’s been about a couple of years and the frames are just showing a little wear and tear. I have replaced the lenses though. I’ve been so happy here. The doctors are helpful and nice. They really care about their patients. The frames I had chose a couple years ago are pretty,todays style,sturdy and strong. I have saved all that money on my frames and I liked the way they looked on my face. No more buying 2 or 3 frames a year.

Love them here, had a emergency eye procedure a few years ago and been using them since then, never any pressure to buy stuff you dont need.

I feel this is a teaching office. I saw the Dr. on my first visit, but never saw her again. She just kept giving instructions to her office staff to try different contacts. Ive now been stuck with a prescription that is really bad for almost a year. During stay at home, my husband went to get temporary contacts and the office staff gave him the wrong prescription. These are just our experiences.

I have been using Eyeland for a number of years. The doctors and staff of very personable and accommodating. The staff go out of their way to see that you are taken care of in any way possible. They have volumes of frames and I have fallen in love with the Silhouette frames; they are wonderful as well as beautiful. I first purchased those frames in 2013 and prefer to wear only those frames. I had a 10:00 appointment. Checked in at 9:58. Was never greeted. 3 -4 girls at the front desk just talking. I signed in. Around 10:20 I walked to the front desk and asked how much longer since I made the appointment during my lunch break for work, One girl looked at my name and said Oh you have to fill out new patient paper work! I said Ive been sitting here for 20 minutes and youre just telling me this now? I told her that was very unprofessional and my time was limited and walked out. I had a prescription filled for glasses at the optical. Spend money on glasses and still cannot see out of them. Ive been back 2x telling them this. This is why I made an appointment with their optometrist to get a new exam and for them to make me new lenses.

Love love love this place. Dr. Bloom is truly awesome we laughed the whole time. The staff was phenomenal. My 3 teens loved the care they received. Unlike TSO we werent rushed so Dr. Bloom was able to get us the best Rx to fit our declining visual state. Please stop here ask for Mrs . Nicki and Mrs. Debbie you will be treated like family.

Dr. Boeckman was so thorough and took the time to explain everything he found during the exam in detail. Also, the ladies who work in the eyeglasses area are amazing and so kind and patient, especially Debbie. My husband and I couldnt be happier with the whole experience.

I had THE best experience with Dr. Boeckman at Eyeland in Conroe! I have been trying to explain to other providers that my discomfort with contact lenses is with my eyelids, not my actual eye. Other doctors have insisted that I need to use Air Optix due to my astigmatism, however Dr. Boeckman knew exactly which contacts would solve this issue and even referenced the study done on contact lens friction done in Switzerland! It was very interesting to learn what the issue was and very satisfying to finally be able to wear contact lenses!!

Dr. Orear goes above and beyond for her patients. Listens to every aspect and helps however she can. I adore her and will take my family no where else!

Everyone was polite and friendly and Dr. Bloom is wonderful. After twenty-five years of wearing contacts, she explained a few things I did not know. The contacts were ordered and in their offices waiting for me within 2 days. And they handled all the insurance details for me. Cant ask for more than that!

Ive been wearing contacts for over 30 years and this office has been my favorite so far. I starred seeing Dr. ORear about 3 years ago and extremely pleased with her knowledge and her professionalism. The office staff is very friendly and even knows me by name when I walk in. They help put you to ease if you are nervous about the exam. I would highly recommend Eyeland to all of my friends and family.

I took my 4 year old for an appointment with Dr. ORear because his eye had started to turn in. She was amazing. The staff was amazing and so helpful. They were great at calming him down and getting him to cooperate, which isnt always easy! They didnt mind that I was chasing my 1 year old around while he was getting his eyes checked either. When we went to pick out his glasses, the optical shop staff were so helpful! Not a single one looked at us without a smile on their face. The lady that helped us pick his glasses was awesome. She educated us on which size was appropriate for his face. After reading about the fit of glasses, Ive learned its extremely important to get the correct fit. We ended up leaving with a happy 4 year old and a happy mama! So much so that I scheduled an appointment for my 1 year old and myself for later this week. Highly recommended!

Every time I go here I feel so welcomed. As soon as I walk in, I am greeted right away. I have been going to Eyeland for as long as I can remember. I have never ever had a problem when I go there. I always get nervous when they do the test. The ladies there are always considerate and patient. They never would complain, they always would walk me through it. Dr. Boeckman is always such a character. He is very friendly and kind. Always knows how to put a smile on his patients faces. I give this practice a 5 star rating because they have always treated me with respect and care.

Moving from England to the Vintage Houston area, there had been difficulties in finding a reputable and competent optometrist.So my search went out all the way to Conroe. I was scheduled to see Dr. Bonnie Bloom at Eyeland. She was not only thorough, highly skilled and knowledgeable. But also showed sensitivity, compassion and clearly took the time in appropriately giving the right and sound advice.Dr. Bloom exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs an eye examination and has any vision difficulties. She is a top notch eye specialist with a great sense of humor, who connects with all of her patients.

I have been going to Dr. Boeckman for 26 years, and have been using Eyeland as well! Today we went in because my son broke his glasses, and Debbie had us in a new pair of glasses to take home within an hour. I LOVE coming here and would never think of leaving! Thank you Eyeland!

At 42, I had my first eye exam. Age had caught up, and I knew that I needed help with reading glasses. Little did I know that I also had a far-sightedness issue. I elected bifocals, and after Dr. Awalts excellent care, the opticians helped me select glasses that have been comfortable, effective, and meet my wifes approval. Thanks to all who helped me!

My wife and I chose Eyeland for their hours and location. The staff greeted us when we arrived and we were taken in for our appointments 10 minutes early. They were an efficient and friendly team that worked very well together from the doctors to the front desk and everyone in between. I have been wanting to go back to contacts, but do not like the multifocal lenses. The doctor had me try different contacts until I found an acceptable balance of near and far. It was a great process and something my previous eye doctor did not do, he just suggested readers or glasses and moved on...We will be returning to Eyeland.

My family and I have been coming here for years. My experience is always pleasant and personable. The doctors are very professional and considerate, and the staff is most efficient. Everyone in the office jumps at every opportunity to meet my needs as a patient and a customer.

I was a little disappointed at the wait time during my eye exam last Wednesday, but they made up for it with my glasses. I was told they would be ready in 7-10 business days, and then have to wait another few days for shipping. Instead, they were ready in 3 days, and shipped overnight! Super impressed with Dr. Bloom and all the kind people running the office.HOWEVER, I strongly disliked the lady who assisted in picking out/ordering my glasses. She was incredibly slow, but the biggest thing was that she didnt disclose all my insurance information. I saw after the fact that I couldve had a discount and bigger frame allowance on certain brands, and that wouldve definitely influenced my decision. I feel taken advantage of, because I purchased frames (with a good chunk out of pocket), when I probably couldve spent less money if Id known what my insurance said. Big turn off.

Had an awesome appointment today with Bonnie Bloom, an optometrist at Eyeland in Conroe. I have been wearing glasses since I was 14-years-old, and no one has ever spent this much time and effort making sure I could see perfectly by the time I left (better than 20/20). She also turned me on to this great concept called monovision, which is one eye focused for distance and the other for near vision, and I havent had to use my readers since I got home. FANTASTIC! Plus, the rest of the staff was great too. Couldnt recommend Bonnie or Eyeland more highly.

If I could give a place negative stars I would. The sad thing is the doctor is great but his good work is being overshadowed by the unprofessional girls that run the desk. I have never encountered a ruder staff anywhere. They clearly were not given their jobs by merit or experience and are extremely rude and ignorant. All of them.Chimps could run this place better.

Called for them to email my prescription for my contacts and waited two hours and called back and they said they are just waiting for a doctors signature. It should of been signed already and it does not take two hours for one to sign. Really inconvenient when you have a doctors appointment that needs that prescription.

I drive 90 miles from Trinity to Conroe to be seen by Dr. Bloom. Its well worth the trip. One time I used a local facility but they misdiagnosed me with cataracts. Never again. Be advised this is a VERY busy clinic and delays, while not frequent, can happen. The Drs. are all extremely competent and professional. The support staff not so much.

My wife and I recently had exams at this clinic.Dr. ORear was exceptional andtook time with the exam. This office has state of the art diagnostic equipment.The staff was helpful and kind. We recommend Dr. ORear and her staff for youreye care!

Nobody except the Dr. is kind there. Nobody explains what theyre doing, or smiles, or anything. While I was waiting to pay the women up front just gossiped about others in the office. When I was getting my exam, they were only talking about where to eat. No smiles, or anything. DO NOT go here.

In my 30 years of wearing corrective lenses Eyeland and the doctors are so unprofessional. First, the receptionist would not get off her butt to help a lady in a wheel chair. Made the lady in wheel chair bring the clip board to her. Second, an elderly lady was spoken to by receptionist. Third, I was spoken too rudely by the same receptionist. The doctor I meet with was very unprofessional and was more interested in selling me a vitamin program then taking care of my eyes. I suggest you choose another Eye Care Center in Conroe!

As a long time patient of Dr Boeckman, I can assure you that this establishment is the pinnacle of eye care!! The technicians were professional and explained every procedure they led me through. Several of my family members also frequent Eyeland and they have nothing but good things to say as well!

Opticians were very nice. Eye exam receptionists on the other hand are abrupt and ignore you. The one on the phone was slamming the phone with her calls. I dont care if my insurance is taken here I rather pay cash somewhere else.

It had been longer than I thought since my last eye exam. I was traveling to Houston (and Conroe) and, on a recommendation from a friend, decided to see the optometrist at Eyeland. Everyone there was very friendly and professional. Dr. Boeckman took the time to explain a lot about what was going on with my eyes and why my old glasses werent working any more (mental note: dont wait 4 years between eye exams!). Cathy was super-helpful in helping me pick out new frames which my wife fully approved of when I got home. They have got lots of really cool machines to test for everything, which personally I thought was very fun, but they also made it a very personable and friendly experience. Well recommended!

THEYRE ALL RUDE. THE EYE DOCTOR COULDNT EVEN GIVE ME THE NAME OF MY EYE CONDITION WHEN I ASKED, AFTER THEY DID ABOUT 10 TEST TO GET MY PRESCRIPTION. WHEN I ASKED THE LADY UPFRONT WHAT MY PRESCRIPTION OF MY EYE WAS SHE WAS RUDE, AND SAID OUTLOUD WHAT IT WAS IN THE WAITING AREA, AND I KNOW IT WAS AS BAD AS SHE SAID IT WAS. WHAT ABOUT PATIENTS PRIVACY. THE PPL SELLING THE GLASSES WERE RUDE SAYING I NEED TO GET ANTI- GLARE WITH IS A EXTRA 90 DOLLARS, AND TEPHLON OR SOMETHING TO PROTECT MY EYE, ANOTHER 70 DOLLARS, AFTER I TOLD THEM OVER AND OVER THAT I WEAR THEM LESS THAT 1% OF THE TIME BECAUSE I WEAR CONTACTS. WHEN THEY CAME IN, THE GLASSES ARE TOO STRONG AND GIVES ME A HEADACHE AND THERE IS A HUGE GLARE, N ALL THEY TELL ME IS I SHOULD HAVE TO THE ADDL ANTI-GLARE, AND TEPHLON . N THEY KEPT TELLING ME THE FRAMES ARE TOO BIG FOR MY FACE, IF I LIKE THEM, I LIKE THEM. I WOULD HAVE SPENT 400 FOR ONE PAIR OF GLASSES. SPENT 100 ON FRAMES, 100 FOR LENS. NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN. RUDIEST STAFF I HAVE EVER MET. STICKING TO MY SMALL LOCAL EYE DOCTOR I NEVER HAD TO ADD ALL THE OTHER STUFF TO MAKE ME HAPPY. I JUST DIDNT LIKE ANY THERE FRAMES SO I THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE THEM A SHOT.

Dr. Boeckman is one of the best optometrists around. I have been his patient since 1984. He is very knowledgeable about the latest and greatest procedures and the available items in eye care, His office is equipped with up to date equipment to provide that care, and he is very friendly and personable. I am active duty military, and still go to him when I come home on leave rather than wait 2 months for an appointment in a military treatment facility. He always goes above and beyond to provide my care, keep me informed of the latest advances in eye care, and make me feel welcome home. Unfortunately, his staff does not have the same customer service skills as he does. Most of them are young adults, and this generation definitely suffers from a sense of privilege owed them. They act as though they are doing you a favor by giving you their time, and even speaking to you. Having spent my entire working career in customer service and now in the military, public affairs, I know what character one should have and the work ethic to go with working in this field. The staff although usually friendly to me through the years, appear as though you are bothering them, and they are too busy to be concerned with you. You have to keep on them to get your needed answers. For example; I was never informed that my first order of contact lenses had arrived, and when I called to ask about them after receiving the second order, was told they had been there for 2 weeks. Someone should have called you. Well, no one did obviously or I would have stopped in to pick them up while I was still in town. When my glasses finally arrived in the mail, not all the corrections were made that I had discussed in detail with the optician, except for the new lenses. He never bothered to check them before sending them out. The solution, just go out into town locally and get the corrections made. Shouldnt cost too much. I have read some of the other comments here, and judging from what Ive witnessed, I would have to say that they are pretty accurate with regard to the staff. I always try to show kindness, respect and appreciation for anyone that provides assistance to me, but sometimes killing someone with kindness doesnt always work. I chose to give Eyeland 3 stars even though Dr. Boeckman rightfully deserves 5+, and the staff deserves 1. After this latest visit, I will probably continue to get my eye care from Dr. Boeckman, as the staff usually has a high turnaround rate, so I would expect to see different people next time I am home. Dr. Boeckman is a great doctor and an incredible man with good character, integrity, and work ethic. It is just a shame that the staff does not share these personality traits.

Apparently if someone comes in late, more than 30 minutes, to their appointment they are taken cared of before anyone. This is where the wait time becomes excessive for those that actually arrived on time! Not a good impression for new patients! Personal conversation between staff in front of patients should NOT tolerated.

We went there the other day to get my stepson eye glasses the helped us pick out frames it was closing time but the staff stayed till they were ready he was able to take them home same day

They cant even set up an eye schedule. I called last week. I was in the middle of making an appointment, lady hung up on me after putting me on hold. I called today to confirm my appointment and it was never scheduled.

Idiots!! Kept us wating an hr to tell us they see pediatric pts but not babies...then wanted us to pay for it!
