Both Josh and Jim at Trans-Tech Transmissions are friendly, super knowledgeable, and very good communicators. They were able to source the rebuilt transmission from a warehouse that was able to get it to them in less than 2 days, and they had the vehicle work completed in a day and a half. With an 3 year unlimited mileage warranty, Im not sure how you could go wrong with these fellas. Good price and great service.Im taking another vehicle to them next week to perform a service (flush, fill, filters, gasket, etc).New and repeat customer here in the span of only a week - Im sold.Thanks Josh & Jim!

These guys have integrity and are honest to say the least.I had a check engine code for a shift solenoid so I took my 2008 tundra to Sheehy Toyota of stafford. They told me transmission needed to be replaced for the low low price of $6100.00 for a remanufactured unit. Brought it to trans-tech for a second opinion, and they fixed it for $352.00, which is a bit better than 6100.00 Id say. If I could give bonus stars I would do it happily. Thanks trans-tech guys. Very disappointed took my 2009 vw Routan minivan there because the van while driving would drop to 1st gear they diagnostic it said i needed a new transmission the cost was gonna be right under 4000.00 so i decided to go another route so they charged my 115.00 for the bad diagnostic i took the van to Amoco they said it was a common problem replaced the solenoid pack, filter, gasket and fluid cost less hat 1000.00 van runs great again

I would like to leave a message to say that I took my car to this place on last week because I was having problems with my 1999 Ford escort because of clutch problems however I worked with Josh and Ray and they did a awesome job, very professional I was able to get my car in one day and out the same day and I can’t think them enough for the good work and for their professionalism. I have a Dodge Ram 2500 with the infamous 48RE automatic transmission. When you have a heavy-duty diesel pickup, you need to locate a shop that knows these transmissions and their issues. These are the guys you go to if you want honesty, expert advice, and fair treatment. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Hello, I’ve recently had my Ford Ranger transmission serviced at Trans Tech Transmission shop in Spotsylvania county. I just wanna to put out there theses guys are the most talented, professional mechanics I have ever ran across. My manual transmission was always giving me a problem to shift into 1st, 2nd and reverse. I explained to Josh and Ray what I was experiencing and he stated it could be this or that. Left my truck with him and in two days I’m back in it and my gears are shifting like butter on a hot biscuit. Trans-Tech is the place to go if your vehicle needs Transmission repair. My parents needed the transmission on their vehicle repaired but were saving up to have Trans-Tech do the work. With a great deal of help and a huge Thank You that personally owe the owner for their help on not telling my parents the cost of the repair. My parents were able to get their vehicle repaired and running as my Dad says, This is running like a new car. If you want it done right take it to Trans-Tech because they will take care of the vehicle as though its one of theirs.

These transmission wizards hooked me up right. They were courteous quick and completely painless to deal with. I brought my car in with a knocking noise figuring it could be the transmission. I pulled in and had one of the techs take it on a test drive for me they were gone all of 5 min and when they got back had diagnosed my issue and had a plan to get it fixed. I was worried as its my only method of transportation. They immediately put me at ease and gave me a time when it would be done (which was only a day and a half later). I got a on the spot quote they seemed very fair considering how fast the work was to be completed. When I came back it was ready and the knock was gone. Im back on the road thanks to these expert professionals and will only ever consider them for future transmission service or repair.

As many of the other reviews have previously stated, the team at transtech did not disappoint. I have a 2012 Cadillac Escalade that was having some shudder issues as it came to a stop. They were able to get me in without an appointment and take a look at the truck and in a few hours let me know that it was not an issue with the transmission. They gave me some probable other causes and asked me if I wanted them to continue troubleshooting. There was no pressure to obtain additional Services. I was able to pick the vehicle up and they didnt charge me. I will bring my vehicles back here for sure and I would recommend them to any family or friends. Thanks for the help

Thought my transmission was slipping in reverse but they determined it was an engine skipping problem happening only in reverse. They recommended I try a general engine repair facility.THESE GUYS ARE HONEST.

These guys are horrible,Took my car to my restoration shop..with my permission they sent it to Trans tech for a transmission rebuild,Car comes back with 3 huge gouges in the top of the fender from the idiots belt buckle that worked on the transmission, We know it was them because i was there the day the car was towed from my house and no gouges were in the fender,Creep at trans tech did nothing about it! $1350 rebuild and $425 to repair fender..

We selected Trans Tech to install a remanufactured transmission in our 2006 Buick Lacrosse. I spoke to three shops about the repair before selecting this one. I am mechanically savvy, and I felt that Josh at Trans Tech was the most knowledgeable person I spoke with concerning this transmission, its known problem areas, and options for repair. At my request, in addition to pricing a remanufactured transmission, they priced a used transmission, an option that other shops declined to offer. In the end, I selected the remanufactured unit because it was priced very competitively and it includes a superior warranty. Linda kept us informed, and the work was completed ahead of schedule at exactly the quoted price. We had a minor glitch after picking up the car and we were a few miles down the road; the check engine light came on. Returning to Trans Tech, they literally jumped on the problem. It was clear our satisfaction was their utmost concern. Josh and Ray quickly found and resolved the issue; it was simply an electrical cable that popped loose from its connector. There are not many choices for transmission shops in the Fredericksburg VA area, and fortunately Trans Tech is one of them. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Called them to see if they would work on a manual transmission and they told me they no longer work on transmissions, but just replace the,. That defeats the purpose of being Transmission Specialists.

Bad bad company to deal with! I bought two transmissions there and they both failed within a year! They wont guarantee warranty either! Beware!
