Shout out to these guys. Awesome work and great service. Was having trouble with our Jeep Wrangler shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. Was told by another mechanic that we needed a new transmission. Went to Cookeville Transmission for another opinion. Was told all we needed was a new solenoid pack for transmission. These guys saved us over $2000.00. Jeep is shifting great now and we cant thank them enough for the money we saved. Brought in on a thursday and picked up a friday. Great work guys!!!!

I blew my transmission in a 30 year old class c rv had it towed there and felt I would be scraping it. Their price was fair and reasonable they finished in less time than they indicated. When I picked it up I immediately drove about 500 miles and it ran great. Hope I never need them again but if I do I wouldnt hesitate to go back.

The service performed was as expected and acceptable. But, there was a 3 percent addition to my bill for using a credit card to pay, was not expecting that. Plus when checking out a political statement was made by staff that was not necessary or appreciated.

Nice folks! Really helpful - I still haven’t bought the torque converter I need because it’s so darned expensive but they are the cheapest I’ve found! I’ll probably end up buying from them when I swallow the pill that I just have to cough it up for my truck to be back on the road!

The Kidd brothers will take care of all your automotive repair needs. They are very knowledgeable and will do a thorough job of servicing your vehicle. They arent the cheapest in town but they will do what they say and stand behind their work. They also wont take advantage when a simple repair will do. Honesty is one of their greatest traits!

Got a quote on changing my transmission for $750 plus seals which was $29 and taxes should have been around $850 to pick up but when they called me when the truck was ready my bill was almost &1050 they said it was due to programming fees and shop fees who charges shop fees and for $750 the program should have been included seeing that it wasn’t mentioned in the quote I supplied transmission fluid and had it towed to there shop I know the tow was on me but the other charges was a crock of bull if you plan on using this place get your estimate in writing that’s where I screwed up Remember GET iT IN WRITING..... I do have to say the work was done in a timely manner but the price was not what was quoted when you live on a budget it is hard to pay unexpected prices higher than you where quoted

VERY honest company Wife went in for transmission shudder They could have easily taken advantage of her Instead found that Toyota had a service bulletin out on it and sent her to Toyota instead What could have easily been a 1500-2000 job for them is getting fixed for free

Great knowledge on Transmission

First off I have to start out by saying that their service is second to none! my story goes like this I was on my way to Cookeville to pick up a car that I was buying to bring home to fix, so I had my trailer with me, coming from Columbia TN. 2 hours away from home and shortly after business hours I made the call to Cookeville transmission co because I had broke down not far from them. When they answered the phone I received nothing but kindness and he even offered to come tow my trailer to his shop and recommended me a towing service. They were quick to inform me of what was going on with my truck while it was in their care. To my surprise, when I picked up my vehicle from them today it was not only done but done with extra care as they inspected other things on the vehicle as well including my oil and wheel bearings and informing me that they were bad as well which makes a customer feel good knowing that they take the time to check every detail. Money well spent and I would drive the 2 hours it is from my home to let them rebuild another transmission down the road!

Dropped vehicle off today (06/08/2018) for a/c and exhaust repair. When i went too pick truck (dodge ram 4x4) up the worker at the front desk informed me that they decided to not work on the exhaust because the owner decided not too. The front desk worker stated you never know what the owner is going too say. Really?! The front desk worker stated we could have done part of the work. I stated then why didnt you? The front desk worker then stated bring your truck back in a couple of weeks, drop it off and leave it and we will check for leaks. I stated i have to leave it to get leak checked? How long does it take? He stated about 30 minutes. If you owned a garage you would understand.

We were driving on the interstate when we heard strange noises in our 2012 Altima. Not a strong way to start a trip to NC from Nashville by any means. We found Cookeville Transmission merely by coincidence. They checked out the car and gave me the ultimatum, offered me the best advice I could ask for and when I tried to pay them for it they said no. The staff was very polite and helpful. 5 stars!

I was referred to this place by a friend but as soon as I stepped in and asked about getting my clutch replaced, I did not feel welcomed by the front desk. I did arrive about half an hour before the shop closed which may be a factor, but a good shop should always treat their clients with the upmost respect.

THANKS to Rick, who checked the automatic transmission fluid in our motorhome and pronounced it just fine, soothing our concerns and getting us back on the road quickly!!Good to know theres such honest service people!

I lost my transmission less than a half mile from this shop . They had my truck diagnosed and fixed in a day. No pressure and reasonably priced. Extremely nice . Gave me a ride to my hotel and brought the truck to me the next day.

Get a quote in writing, was given one price which was supposed to include fluid but when I went to pick up vehicle and pay and they charged for fluid and cost $450.00 more then I was quoted. Spoke to guy who fixed vehicle and gave me quote and basically was called a liar and I had a second person next to me when I spoke with him the first time as proof. TYPICAL REPAIR SHOP! PLEASE DONT RESPOND TO THIS ( OWNER) YOU WILL WILL JUST MAKE YOURSELF LOOK WORSE!!!!!!

If i could do 0 stars thats that they would get. They replaced a transmission and change the oil in my car quoting a price of $3,100 plus taxes ended up paying 3,500 on top of that I got my car back with no brakes and they said the car had no breaks when they got it which was a lie I have brakes on my car before it was taken there. They got air in my lines and told me they would fix it and for me to bring the car down then when I get down there they want to charge me for what they messed up on my car. Anyone taking a vehicle there I would beware of their Shady dealings because they want to flip flop what they say on the phone then when you show up they tell you the owner of the store drove your car and it had squishy brakes which is a total lie and pure nonsense

They only charged me 1/2 hr labor to run down electrical switch problem and change it out after part arrived. Part was same price as other discount sites. Also I dropped it off at 8:30am they had part delivered by 2pm same day. Picked my truck up an hour later. Less than $100 . Owners are in the shop!!

Their technicians know what they are doing and you can 100% trust them with your vehicle. I will definitely be back!

The people running the office have no character. In my case they went out of their way to lie. When confronted with it, they are cowards. Cost me time and money. Find somewhere else to go, cant get worst then here.

Knowledgeable technicians that are able to diagnose and repair quickly. My repair was a rare failure that didnt display diagnostic codes but they were able to identify and repair without replacing unnecessary parts.
