Per suggestion of some local friends we stopped into this amazing local donut shop. We were absolutely not disappointed with this donut shop. We tried quite a variety and they were all great. The cotton candy tastes just like cotton candy!!

I love their apple fritters. They are huge and taste great. They now have smaller apple fritters, which are just as good.

Get there in the morning and try their warm breakfast items. I love their sausage biscuit. Their donut selection is great

I think they have the best donuts in town. Lived here 15 yrs. So sorry they lost their lease and had to move. I am sure it has affected their business. I go at least once a week.

Ill begin with the customer service was absolutely terrible. The young guy seemed to be too stoned to realize whats goin on. And wasnt friendly at all. Now with the donuts. Not a huge selection to choose from and the options that were available out of all 6 donuts I got only one was good.

I love Big Os donuts but honestly I am tired of trying to catch them at the right time to get the donuts I like. I have actually gone over there 3 times on the same day to get some but always out because they only make a few and I dont eat enough to order multiple dozens. Now that they are a mile further away than they used to be, it isnt worth the trouble.

Not dis like but since move doughnuts have changed (blah) and selection was not good sign said hiring so I figured it was doughnut maker and asked. I was a Baker in California and doughnuts and bagels were my specialty. But the girl said no. Probably wont go back real soon

Best ever apple fritter tasted like spice cake. Bigger than a cow patti! Had a TropicalTango smoothie, tasted almost like banana pudding. Waitstaff very nice. This is a hidden gem.

Went there this morning and the guy and girl working were super nice! It was the cleanest public restroom Ive ever been in, and the food was fresh and delicious.

The donuts are great, the staff is super friendly, but the selection is terrible. Every time I come in here there are barely any good donuts to choose from. Does not make it worth the trip from Sparta.

I have been eating donuts from here ever since I was a little kid. The food is great and I have never encountered a less than neighborly employee behind the counter. Pretty good sized donuts and very fair prices. I highly recommend considering Big O Donuts if youre looking for breakfast, a treat at the office, something for a celebration, or even a midnight snack. The hours alone are unbeatable. This is one of the gems of Cookeville. If you havent already, give them a try.

Our first time experience at this donut shop was awesome! The service was great and the people working there were very nice. We got an assorted dozen. In all honesty me and my fiancé believe this donut shop blows Krispy Kreme out the water 100%. We will be visiting again!

Awesome donuts! They were out of Strawberry creme filled but made some up special for our out of town company.

Much better in every way with the new owners and new location.

Coffee had good flavor but was lukewarm. Chocolate doughnut was stale. It was 5:30 p.m. so it is understandable if doughnuts arent at their freshest, but this was more like one or two days old. However, it is close to the park and the menu is extensive with breakfast foods all day and lots of drink options, including smoothies and many herbal teas, giving it an extra star.

The kids wanted something sweet, so we stopped at this place. I used to go to this place all the time to grab something sweet and to study, since they are open 24 hours. Its still great. Donuts are so fresh all the time. I love going to this place when am in town. Blueberry cake donuts are my favorite.

I may be partial to Big O because I grew up eating big o donuts and have many fond memories of the place. It is the bar that I rate all other donuts. In my opinion they have the best donuts in the area. The staff are friendly most visits. The variety is always good and fresh on my visits (except on a late night munchie run). The value is still pretty good after all these years.

I cant believe they are closing soo early!! This is not good for business! I been going else where because of this. Why soo early?? What about the people that work nights? We like donuts too.

I think it has changed hands. Years ago, it was great, but it went totally downhill. Donuts were seldom fresh and the selection was poor. In the last couple of years it has improved but is still nowhere near what it used to be. Id rather go to Ralphs.

Absolutely love the staff and donuts! Best in cookeville and east tennessee imo! Donuts are always made fresh and best part is theyre open 24/7. Apple fritter is amazing and gigantic but personally I love the Bavarian cream long johns! I will defiantly never go back to dunken donuts or Krispy creme again their donuts are stale in comparison to the awesomeness of big o donuts! 💕💞

I had a coconut cream filled doughnut and it was to die for!

It was good but my doughnuts definitely wasnt fresh. And the guy working the counter wasnt very friendly. No I didnt come in the middle of the day was around 730 that morning. Nothing to say about the unfriendly employee I see that figures.

I dont care for donuts but these are delicious and big as your face!

Big O is a good place to get a variety of donuts and coffee flavors, including hot, iced, or frozen. They arent my favorite frozen coffee, more of a get one since youre already here quality rather than make a special trip quality. The donuts are very good, but not the best Ive ever had.

Not as good as Ralph’s but better than all the other options. it’s open 24/7 so if Ralph’s is closed I’ll go there. Donuts are medium priced aka not expensive but not super cheap. I’ve always visited really early in morning and the donuts were not stale like others said. The owners response to other complaints on here really put me off more than anything. After reading his nasty comments to people I doubt I’ll ever go back now. Sad.

The donuts are delicious! Lived next door 4 years ago and loved their fresh biscuits in the mornings. Large table area and windows give it a nice atmosphere. Coffee is pretty good, too!

The workers are nice and i like that it’s open 24 hrs especially being a tech student but the donuts definitely aren’t the best. they are always kind of stale when i get them no matter the time and their card limit makes it so you have to get more than you want if you don’t carry cash (like most college kids)

Not as good as it was before they moved

Very very slow service. Two customers that came in after us were waited on before us. Not only did they get the order wrong (I asked for a chocolate eclair but was given a maple one,) they didnt even give me a lid for my to go coffee. Not impressed at all.

This was my first time being there. Person behind counter was very nice. They didn’t have a big selection of donuts at all but they did have some right out of the oven glazed donuts and donut holes The ones we got was very good and a very good reasonable price. I will definitely go back.

In my opinion, the best doughnuts Ive ever had. Nice variety, reasonably priced, and a recently expanded menu which now includes breakfast sandwiches, smoothies and different varieties of coffee and hot tea. Friendly staff, excellent service, and open 24/7 (excluding certain holidays), I would go every available chance!!

Love that theyre open on sundays, the donuts were good. The staff isnt friendly, we havent had an experience yet that they are? Maybe someday training would help.

Best wifi in town. Always clean and dounuts are always made hot and fresh and delicious. Always the most polite employees that are friendly and welcoming. Couldnt of asked for better home town hospitality.

A 24/7 donut store. What more could you ask for? Their donuts are on point and the other breakfast foods, i.e. sausage biscuits, gravy, etc, are also delicious. Their smoothies are amazing and never disappoint. Friendly staff makes your visit that much more enjoyable. Go here and eat their donuts. Do it.

Love the donuts here. Fresh made at any time of day. They have plenty of tables to sit at and WiFi and you can get coffee or other drinks. Try the Apple fritters that are as big as your face!

Four stars because the donuts are good but the coffee is nothing to write home about. They are one of the few places in Cookeville that is open 24 hours so that is a plus even if it is somewhat sketchy late at night. They have plenty of room for students to spread out and work.

I do not like donuts. Having said that, I love Big O Donuts. This place is a Cookeville, Tennessee institution, and every time I walk in and smell the freshly fried bread, I am reminded of my childhood. I dont know exactly how long this place has been around, but I remember my dad taking me in the mid-Eighties. You can keep your Kryspy Cream or your Duncans because there will never be another Big O Donuts!

Been going here for years. Love the doughnuts! I do recommend that you stay away from the special mixed drinks as they are too sweet.

Selection has always been limited when I have visited, its very common to hear Well have that variety in about 2 hours. However, Big O is a must stop for anyone in town. Reasonable prices for large portions.

I come here every time I am in the area. The donuts are great, especially the buttermilk ones. I cant speak for any of the other food. Staff is friendly.

I like Big Os it a great spot for when you need to study and the Lib is closed. However one of guys working counter always seems to hate either his customer or his job. Big Os is a nice place to go in Cookeville and their doughnuts are great.
