Stopped at the Harrisonburg Virginia store on our way home yesterday. Only had 1 regular check out open and 5 self checkout. It took almost 1/2 hour to check out myself because the store was busy and it was lined up. Someone called for more help but no one came. That’s one Kroger we won’t be stopping at again!

The sushi guy is the best. If he doesn’t have what you want he will normally make it for you. Also like my wife and I come get and he knows how we like our sushi. So when he sees us he makes it just as ordered.

The store is a mess and I cant find anything. I had to walk back and forth through the store way too much and I asked where something was and the person working didnt even know.

Several years ago I got really frustrated with the lack of service and just genuine lack of concern from the big box store for me as a customer. Having spent 30 years running a first class customer service operation for a billion dollar company I am very aware of the service I receive. I tried Kroger and was pleasantly surprised at the service and the quality of the people. I even wrote a letter that ended up in the Kroger company news letter. Sad to say but as of this morning Im taking the 10k to 11K dollars a year I spent there and Im going somewhere else. As I was checking out this morning I was greeted by one of the rudest, uncaring, unconcerned people Ive ever dealt with. Her attitude toward me as a customer should be embarrassing for Kroger. Ive seen the store go down slowly over the past few years and its finally hit the breaking point for me. Goodbye and based on what I dealt with today youll be hearing from more people like me.

They always have great quality produce. Great selection of meat. Always have what I need

Cookeville store has the worst produce. Bought strawberries yesterday, today about 5 bites not rotten out of two cartons!! Happens with all produce. Fancy lighting makes it look!!! good!!!

Robert in seafood was very helpful and respectful. I showed up before he was fully set up, and he took the time to write down everything I needed in order to go to produce to get all the necessary things to complete my order. It is hard to find good help, and I hope Kroger understands the treasure the have in this position. The fish was fantastic, BTW.

Usually, I shop at Publix because its closer to other stores I frequent.... The lot here can be a bit packed. However, they have Boars Head meats and cheese and are open on some holidays (Easter) which is a bonus in my book. No lines today (Sunday) and the lot wasnt to jammed up. Some decent sales as well.

This was the worst visit. No stock, water leaking out of every freezer. Corporate needs to come walk through this store and shut it down.

(Edited: 7/6/21) Just as a disclaimer, I think that today was very stressful for my cashier and I don’t blame her because the register was slow/broken. HOWEVER, as someone with relatively severe social anxiety, the service that I received today was unacceptable. I have worked in customer service, so I know how difficult it is, but never let the customer know that you are unhappy with them especially if they have done nothing (to their knowledge) to piss you off. Everyone in line was understanding and we weren’t rushing her or being impatient, but she still was irritable, reprimanded me for putting my alternate ID in the PIN pad, and gesticulated angrily in my direction when I had not engaged in direct conversation with her yet.

I love that my groceries help bring my gas down.

Great produce. Amazing bakery. Hilariously bad quick check out system. Every item you scan will set off the check bagging area for unapproved item. Its so bad. So bad I felt like I was being trolled bad. Yep.

Not a lot and stock.

Me and my wife tried using our wic to purchase some wic approved food and the cashier had no idea how to even run a register, we tried asking questions and she flat out ignored both of us and had a blank stare. Dont go here if you plan on using your wic or thinking there cashiers know what theyre doing at all.

Being born in Ky. & residing over by Madisonville, Ky., only God knows if this store is very superb.Dont. forget, aside from Illinois, TN.taxes are somewhat high.

Smelled horrible upon walking in . Found a roach on a laundry basket i was looking at. Absolutely disgusting will never come back. was my first and last time hereGross!!!

Thought they were hiring. Turns out that they werent. Received an email thinking that there were openings for my position that I applied for. They said that there was a job fair, which is only true by the tips of their fingers. Ended up going there all ready, even with a copy of my resume. See my photo for evidence.

I love Kroger. I rarely shop anywhere else. They are always well stocked, clean and tidy. I love that they do digital coupons and other sales. I am always talked to by an associate for help. Everyone is always busy helping guests and working. Ive never seen an associate just standing around or on a phone. Kroger is my store. Im a little sad they are no longer 24 hours but, I dont work third shift anymore so its not that big of a deal.

I had a script to be filled and it stated tablets on the script and the coupon I used from goodrx. when I got home and opened it up they were capsules. I went back to return them and the pharmacist told me they wouldnt take them back or exchange them for tablets. they said they had the option to give me capsules or tablets, their choice without asking me. wow, what is this about??? I would give no stars if I could

I love Kroger click list. I can shop at home online. Then I just go to the store and let the wonderful people at the store load up my car. Great for those of us who have difficulty walking or have limited time.

The store is clean. The employees are helpful and friendly. Its easy to find what you need. If youre looking for something and cant find it someone will take you to it instead of telling you where it should be. This store gave me the greatest shopping experience Ive ever had

Where do I begin? This store is out of stock on so many items, the employees are hateful 90% of the time. They wont offer rain checks for items that are offered during the 3 OR 4 day sale whichever it might be that week. Even if you are at the store when they open 1st day of the sale and they never received the item on the truck...you just get told its not their fault. Well, Ive managed retail and yes it is indeed the stores fault...someone should learn to properly order products in the needed quantity. Ive held my tongue and have always dealt with the rudeness and poor customer service but enough is enough. I was in the store this past weekend to return yogurt I purchased. The yogurt was dated 2 weeks out but still was sour, I purchased 10 and when I opened the 1st to discover it was bad, I opened a 2nd to see if it was also bad, it was. I purchased a total of 10 and wanted a refund because chances are since they ALL had the same expiration date, they would all be sour. Not to mention, I pulled about 15 of the same brand and flavor off the shelf the day I bought these in which were expired, some earlier this year and some from 2019! Gross! Clearly this store doesnt rotate their stock either. Anyways back to the issue thats driven me to write a review, the way I was treated in this store over the weekend honestly blows my mind. Never have I been treated this way in ANY of the 20+ Krogers Ive shopped at. Upon walking up to customer service, before I could even finish speaking to Dana, she cut me off and stated We arent taking returns due to the virus, its right there on my sign. I said ok, I dont have to have my money money back, I would just like to exchange these for some fresh ones that arent sour. She immediately became hateful so I just asked to speak to a manager because I chose not to waste anymore time with her. Im not sure if Amanda was an assistant manager, store manager, or a shift supervisor but she approved a refund, even after I explained Id be ok with swapping the product since the return had to be damaged out anyways. I was asked if I had my receipt, I said no, I do have my plus card though. Then Dana got hostile again and included herself back into the conversation and asked what day I purchased them. I explained I shop here nearly every day and cant begin to guess. I then opened my app to find what day it was to make it a little easier, she then began helping another customer and while speaking to them, flung her hand about 4 inches from my face telling the other customer I cant hear you because shes talking. Excuse me? At that point I was beginning to lose my patience because I had been disrespected beyond words. She then walked off speaking to someone in line before walking into the office after I told her I found the date, she still rudely walked off and went back into the office. She was there with Amanda for a good 10 minutes before she came back out. Then she was angry with me because it took her too long to find the transaction, even though I told her 10 minutes prior I had found it. When she was in the middle of the return she was constantly mumbling under her breath/rolling her eyes. After slamming a receipt she said Sign that. I said I dont see where I need to sign. She replied Just sign it anywhere, just sign it. in an extremely hateful tone. So I signed it and told Dana I hope her day gets better. Amanda was standing by allowing her employee to disrespect me without stepping in. At this point my extremely patient mother who was with me, told Dana she would be calling corporate because shes never seen Kroger treat a customer this way. Dana replied, Theyre the ones who instructed me not to give refunds. My mom then stated shes not calling regarding the refund, shes calling in regards to the way we were treated. Amanda then rushed us out of the store waving her arms like she was herding cattle. Im shocked at the way we were treated, given the fact I am in their store literally almost every day. I hope discipline action is taken, I wont return here.

Not a bad place to shop at, but I usually just use their pharmacy because the automated phone service is great and the pharmacy people are always polite. Just remember to always present your insurance card. Had multiple times where I was told my insurance was on file, then it rings up 10x too high until I give them my insurance card. This is an ongoing problem for years.

Kroger is the only grocery store where I can get everything I need soy and dairy free food. I am allergic to soy in all forms so thank you for your SIMPLE TRUTH brand products, it makes me feel better knowing I can finally have more foods to choose from.

Always love using Krogers. They always have cool sales going on and ways to save. They have free Friday downloads, where every Friday they give away a free item and all you have to do is download it to your Kroger card from their site. How awesome and easy is that! And its not some junk food youve never heard of! They also have on Saturdays right now they select different a item every week and drop the price way down and you can get up to 5 of the same item on your Kroger card. Just remember to put the coupon on your Kroger card before Saturday or you wont get it for that price! Sometimes they have had a free item every day of the week just like a free Friday download that you put on your Kroger card ever Friday except its every day! I mean their givings to you are never ending!

Last night at Kroger I went to the back of the store to inquire about the price of Atlantic salmon and it was roughly $7.99 lb. The associate behind the meats told me that tomorrow the salmon would go on sale for $5.97 lb. I asked when it would go on sale and he told me as soon as the doors opened tomorrow morning. So I came in around 9:00 AM this morning. I was going to purchase 6 lbs of salmon for $5.97 lb, so I thought. The associate behind the counter told me this morning Id have to have a coupon to get this deal downloaded from online with an account from Kroger. Obviously I would have to have a printer to do this. Why wasnt I told this by the previous associate last night? I live close to Rickman and the only reason I went back to Kroger was to get this special sale price. I left the store without buying anything, justifiably angry. I hate being lied to.

Wow...we recently moved into area and had heard good things from family about this grocery store. Since we had never been to one we tried it; WHAT WHAT a mistake. This was the nastiest and most unorganized grocery store we have ever been too. We will never visit one again! Grateful Publix has recently opened in area.

Great prices, friendly and helpful staff. Dont have certain slightly more exotic products, like dry Spanish chorizo, but most places dont. Still have a wide range of products.

I love shopping at Kroger. I dont live close, so I order online and everything is always as ordered. The employees are friendly and helpful.

Good value for quality items. Parking is a CHALLENGE! Store is super-busy in Friday evening through Saturday due to specials.

I can buy nearly any food item here! If they dont have it, theyll get it if you request it! I was able to use an electric (sit upon) shopping cart & appointed a personal shopping assistant when I needed one! And theyll have someone bring your purchases to your vehicle & load them any time! They certainly do cater to the needs of their customers!

Had pallets of food everywhere

The store is always very clean and well-stocked. I primarily visit for the pharmacy, though, which I will say is pretty efficient as far as pharmacies go. I seem to see an awful lot of managers standing around with nothing to do, but whatever theyre not doing, its working for them, because its a pretty well-run grocery store.

Ive shopped here for years. I have finally decided that I will not shop here anymore! After standing in the only open check out line for 30 minutes, at 6 oclock in the evening. I finally get up to pay and there is nobody bagging my groceries! The cashier is looking at me like I am supposed to be bagging it myself. I just stood there. There was no way I was going to do it! Then an annoyed manager comes up and starts bagging my stuff up. She rolls her eyes the whole time! The attitudes of the employees at this store in the evening is terrible! Kroger, yall need to step up and start teaching work ethics! There are too many other grocery stores in Cookeville to have to put up with the poor service! If you have to go, do it during the day when the more seasoned employees are happy to help!

Every time I do a pickup order, it is messed up and I dont receive all the items I paid for. Not to mention how rude the employees are when I actually do go in store. DONE spending my money at this store.

Their meat department is AMAZING. All the employees are really nice too. The kroger app is helpful too I save so much money here just from the card.

Staff is always friendly and they have a great selection. My biggest problem with the store is the parking lot. I feel like I am in frogger every time I get out of my car.

Incredibly annoyed at how unprofessional this Kroger is. My husband and I purchased a hammock today and were told they would put it aside so we could come back and get it in our truck. When my husband went back, less than an hour later, they had sold the hammock, despite us already paying for it. They were not the least bit apologetic and rudely told him all they could do was refund him. So disgusted and disappointed!

Next in line to check out and a cashier with pink hair said next in line. She couldnt even check us out because she didnt make sure she had a drawer. we had to get back in line behind everyone we were in front of.

Its fine if you need stuff that is prepackaged. Dont have high expectations for their produce department! I wish we had better options for grocery stores. Their organic section is minuscule, employees are lackluster (not all but alot), and just overall a bleh experience everytime I go.

Remodeling! Early morning not the best time to shop. Had to move for employees all over the store. Good deals if you have the patience.

The Cashiers and Workers are very Courteous and helpful

The store is nice, and they have some good employees, but the manager is RUDE. Mid 40s, brown, balding. He walks around the store with a cart and sometimes a clip board and he ignores every customer he walks past. ALWAYS. The kicker is, I took my mother there to grocery shop late one night, so it wasnt busy. They announced over the loud speaker they were closing, which was a surprise (I wasnt aware they were closed at all). That manager came to the front with a grocery cart to check out. Meanwhile there were customers there trying to check out and all they had open was the u-scan. I couldnt believe a manger would do that. The stores remodel pretty much moved everything to other places, but the deli expansion and produce department are nice. But with Publix here now, I dont see myself purchasing much at Kroger anymore. And dont even bother with the pharmacy!

Kroger Delhi is my favorite they always have the meats that I love which is honey cured ham I always get thinly sliced I love it and they have the best cheeses sometimes they have great deals on it try the deli you will love it I trust them to have the best meats and and they have the great slicers its clean back there you can take any meet up there and theyll slice it for you they even have a different varieties of side dishes to to pick from

This store has tried to improve itself with the recent remodels and changes. The natural food section is much improved and they are trying to carry more non GMO options in both boxed goods and produce. I still dont like the seafood area because it always has a horrible smell, as does the fresh fish they have on hand. We bought some cod that stunk up our house when we opened it. Regardless of the seafood issue, this store has the most selection in town for new and obscure products like processed vegetarian/vegan foods.

Parking lot is a nightmare, the fuel center causes a lot of traffic congestion. Inside the store is brightly lit, conveniently organized, and offer a wide variety of products. Self check out is a huge convenience. Customer service desk offer a variety of different services.

This store has a large bakery section. Always very well stocked. Easy to park.

Since being remodeled, the shopping experience is much improved. In particular, the deli and produce areas are signicantly improved. However, there is little to nothing that can be done to improve the parking lot situation. Very congested and difficult.

Every time I come to this Kroger it’s always busy and no parking. Normally I can get past that. However, last weekend I bought two half gallons of milk and the dates were good but as soon as I tasted both of them they were expired and they leaked. It’s only happened the one time so I assume they just got a bad batch. Well this morning I show up around opening to avoid all the people, get my shopping done rather quickly and I go to self checkout. I told the older blonde headed girl good morning and thank you for opening up self check out (10 minutes after they opened self checkout had not been opened up.) but told her good morning and she just ignored me. Whatever, she must have just been in a bad mood. After I check out, I’m leaving and tell her thank you again and no response and then she just got on her phone looking at it while people are coming through self checkout. This place used to be THE place to shop in Cookeville but over the years it’s just become mediocre. I’ll just go to Walmart and spend my money there from now on.

Completely disappointed in the visit to our local Kroger this morning. The trip was normal until we went to the checkout where our attendant Wayne chose to berate one of the other attendants because (due to a medical condition) she could not gather buggies in the parking lot. He proceeded to yell for the supervisor (who was helping at another check out line) and again went through his perceived issue, all while the customers stood in line to watch what he was doing. When the supervisor told him to handle finding someone to take care of the buggies he huffed and puffed and angrily stated he hates this place while tossing my salad mixes down to the end of the belt. I was embarrassed and sad for having to witness this mans actions and words toward a younger associate! Hoping he I held accountable for the way he acted toward the girl and in front of the customers.

Love Kroger and all their ways to save they make it easy no paper coupons just load then too your card. Always looking for ways to save and they make it easy in the store and at the pump.

Its an ok store, but the front end is a joke. They force you to choose between standing in line for an hour or going through self checkout, which they just doubled the amount of. It would be one thing if this was a decision to save money, but they appear to have not reduced the front end employees despite doubling the self checkout and cutting the manned registers in half. The employees now stand around talking and joking with each other, while ignoring the customers. You all need to either open up the registers and put these employees to work, or cut the fat and fire them. I know asking people to do their job is taboo out here, but I dont want to see the employees sitting around having a grand time while I do their job for them. If you have so much profit you can automate the store to give the employees a place to hang out and relax, how about giving a small discount or something to the people forced to do your job. Also, this isnt a one time thing, it has been going on for months at different times. I know the this must be a one time thing is a popular excuse to explain the employees being lazy, looking at you AMC.

Bought milk and sour cream. I like Krogers dairy. Also, I was able to bag my groceries in the old style paper bag. Always one step ahead of the curve.

Super crowded. The parking is ridiculous at best, but more like a hazard. Unless you need a specialty ingredient, avoid. Prices just arent that good and do not compensate for the hassle of the parking and the crowd.

I love this store! Few pleasures better than food in this life, I think we all agree. This Kroger has an amazing meat section that would rival the best. From alligator to apple pecan stuffed pork chops to gourmet burgers! When I commented on it last week with a butcher inside, he told me the manager takes alot of pride in the store and has been running it that way for about 30years. I love the food in Cookeville and I love coming here to cook for my family.

Really disappointed in the pharmacy. It takes 45 minutes to get a Rx filled from the time i get there, even if it was called in hours before from the doctor. Half the time they have trouble finding my Rx. And last time I called in a re-fill and when i came to pick it up the next day, they couldn’t find my Rx and then finally told me I couldn’t refill because it was too soon. I told them the circumstance and they looked confused, and then finally said they would get ahold of the doctor. I haven’t hear from the since. I’m switching to a new pharmacy.

The aisles are greatly arranged for convenience and the staff is always friendly! They should keep up the good work!

Great place! They are super friendly, kind, and extremely helpful. Almost everytime I asked for help, they didnt point, they walked me there and showed me. One time a manager spent 5 minutes helping me find honey mustard. This place shows Walmart what they could do better policy wise. Walmart is more about making you work than focus on customers, you know, the ones who pay the corporation. Kroger is the other way around.
