Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folk! True that! Ace really is the place. They are well educated and know what they are doing. They help me on a lot of fixing that I have done. Without them, I would be so sad and have some messed up stuff, lol. I love my local ace!

At least half the workers are NOT wearing masks. They also carry a full line of state of Jefferson products. That pretty much tells you all you need to know about this store.

This has become my go-to place for gardening items. They have a very decent selection of gardening tools, and some beautiful pots. I also appreciate that they donate their parking lot for local fundraising events such as the Pawlapaloosa to benefit the animal shelter. The staff are also extremely friendly and helpful.

Very unkind staff. Unaware for prices of items and required the customer to run back and check because they didn’t know it.Trying to receive help, but some of the employees refused to be helpful even when I asked questions.

Apparently Ace is the Place Where No One follows the Law. I dont expect businesses to enforce mask mandates on customers, let Kate Brown try to do that if its so important to her. I do expect them to be professional places where their employees at least follow whatever regulation is currently going on. All the employees at Farrs are wearing masks right now, not one Ace employee was wearing a mask. One cowardly little puke in the back even made a sheep noise at us, then ran off when my wife glared at him. We went in to get trimmer parts, not brave the Wild West.

First of all, I did not feel safe in there. Too many people walking around with no regard for others, wearing no mask, and nobody asking them to put one on.Although they appear to have a good selection of goods, (The reason for two stars), they didn’t have what I was looking for and the isles were somewhat unorganized. Hard to find stuff.Farrs down the road is much better I think.

Super friendly people and quick service, one day therell be popcorn again... although I may still be hesitant because of the Variants (no not the show Loki on Disney+)

They have a lot of things we need but be prepared to be evil eyed if you wear a mask in the store. This store is HIGHLY conservative.

Called to inquire about a part that they showed stock of online to confirm; was left on hold for 15+ minutes and just ended up driving there to confirm stock myself and make a purchase. The employees there were apologetic about the hold and service oriented in person, but had some logistical issues with regards to closed loop communication and phones.

Staff are very helpful. Good hardware store for a variety of items, good selection in some areas. Definitely not a big box store, but nice local place with the Ace brand and many big brands.

Very helpful friendly staff. However the security watch tower is kinda over the top. Ive never been to prison so I truly cant say from personal experience but Ive seen movies. Correct me if Im wrong here.. its that feeling as if your constantly under the eyes of the watchtower guards like in Shawshank Redemption or something like that.. lol. cliche maybe. But its true. Having a person intently watching your every move is kinda uncomfortable. Ive never stolen form anywhere and always been a paying patron at any establishment Ive ever visited. So yeah felt kinda intimidated while shopping there. When you make innocent shoppers feel Like theyve done something wrong....theres an issue there. Just my opinion.

If you know what you need, its in stock and theres no line then its a great experience! Great variety. But its more typical to wait for assistance from the one or two busy employees while others seem as busy as they are helpful 😣. Props to the helpful, hard workers!

On August 23, 2020, I experienced superb service and friendly help from several Ace Hardware employees, ranging from cashiers, to in-store helpers who knew where items were, to the young man who helped load wood and cinder blocks into my car. One concern, however, is that the store does not take Covid-19 precautions seriously. Two cashiers wore their masks below their noses, and one customer with an attitude stomped around wearing no mask at all. This customer was allowed to line up and buy things, in a busy store, despite the fact that all other customers were complying with the mask requirement. It would be safer for customers if the manager would require employees to enforce mask-wearing by customers -- just dont let them in, or kick them out, if they refuse to wear a mask. And employees should learn that wearing a mask around your chin doesnt protect customers or co-workers.

I have shopped at my neighborhood Ace wherever I have lived for many, many years where employees smile, are happy to help, and where I have felt comfortable shopping. My last several experiences with the Coos Bay, Oregon store have been deplorable. I have never encountered such rude employees at any store in my life; so unwilling to help and just with an outright rude behavior.I ordered a Shop-Va c via telephone with a female on Thursday, June 26, 2020. She informed me there was a possibility that it could be delivered the following day and if not, on the following Wednesday, July 1. I called the store on that following Wednesday afternoon and was told in a nasty tone that if I didnt get a phone call that morning it didnt come in. I called again on Friday, July 3, when Liz answered in a nasty tone and immediately transferred me to a male who informed me if I didnt receive a call it hadnt arrived. I told him when I ordered it and it should have arrived. He said only Jack could look it up and that Jack wouldnt be back until next Saturday. I told this man I needed to know when it would be arriving, and that if it wasnt arriving soon I might have to cancel and purchase elsewhere.I stopped in at the store on Tuesday, July 10, and asked the woman (Kylee) at the front counter for the order number so that I could track it. She called someone in the store and informed him what I needed. She then left the counter, walked down an aisle adjacent to the counter, and came back with the exact Shop-Vac I had ordered. I can only assume that was the item I ordered, and someone just put it on the shelf without calling me.Prior to this purchase, I have encountered some helpful employees there, but because of this recent experience, I will shop at True Value for all of my local hardware needs in the future,Overall, I give this store a score of F-. The Coos Bay Ace is NOT the helpful place.

Nice store along the how at between North Bend and Coos Bay so you never have traffic in and out. The staff is very helpfully.

I mean come on I went in there and their popcorn was empty Im sorry but thats sacrilegious.They always have every part I need.I know its hard to get employees around here but I know a few people that have applied there and have heard nothing back from their email system that would be very good employees that would be working there that I myself would come see for help so I dont know what the story is with that.
