I sent Rediform a Lamy 2000 ballpoint pen which needed refurbishing. When I received it later, the replaced mechanism did not work. I called Rediform; they were very concerned and immediately sent me a return label. Today, since the mechanism must not have been reparable, Rediform sent me a brand new Lamy 2000 Pen which is not inexpensive.
