I needed to switch eye Doctors and VSP recommended Wilken eye care. Making an appointment was easy. When I arrived the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. I was seen right away for my pretesting, and she explained everything very well and was very nice.I did not have to wait long at all for Dr Vickers. He was very professional, knowledgeable, he explained everything to where I understood. And answered any concerns I had as I had a new eye issue come up.Then I met with Gina to pick out frames and build my lenses. She was able to answer any questions and concerns I had. This was probably my most anxious part because of my eye issues, but it went very well and Im happy with the results. Looking forward to picking up my new glasses!

Ive been in Texas for 4 years now and found Wilken Family Eye Care last year right before we went on lock down. I had my second annual visit today. The doctor spent so much time with me, answering all my questions and really helping me find a solution to my changing eyesight. The assistant who prepped me was bubbly and very knowledgeable. I would absolutely recommend coming here.

I had my appointment with Dr. Bret Wilken. I was a new patient and this was my first visit. I’m so happy that I went with this practice. All of the technicians were great! Dr. Wilken was awesome, he spent a ton of time trying to get my prescription just right to fit my astigmatism. I’m bringing our kids in next and I know they’ll receive just as fabulous care as I did.

Submitted a visit request on April 12th, for Friday April 23rd, for my daughter who was urgently needing to get in. Never heard anything. So I call today, to check and make sure everything is good, for them to tell me the earliest would be Tuesday next week.. I asked why I hadn’t heard anything at all from them, and they had no idea, and the notes on the submission was “left a voice message” I stated I hadn’t received anything from them, Roxanne proceeded to tell me if anything comes open she’d let me know, which is fine, but what’s the point in requesting a visit so far in advance and receiving no communication.I’m not one to leave a review, but after a very long wait on MY contacts, and then to be given ones with no prescription, and then having to wait all over again, and had I not kept calling, I probably wouldn’t have had anyone call me about those either. One scenario is one thing, 2 is another, 3 and that’s all. We won’t be coming back, and it’s unfortunate because I love the Dr .

The service was excellent and quick. Dr. Wilken is very nice and friendly. I had several questions, and he was glad to explain everything in detail. I just went to him for the first time, and I plan on going here for future check ups as well :)

Dr. Brett Wilken is a great doc who explains things well and listens to what is wrong. I’ve been going here for several years and each time I have a wonderful experience with all the staff. Everyone is polite, professional, and really wants to help you out. I highly recommend this office!

The dr himself is amazing! The staff we have had numerous problems with but up until this point I’ve tolerated it as I really like the doctor himself. Today my daughter had an appointment to get a new trial pair of contacts. The reason for her visit was communicated several times, even confirmed and repeated back to us. We made clear it was only for that purpose, not for a full exam. The nurse even asked my daughter when taking her back and confirmed what it was for. Almost two hours later my daughter calls me saying we owe them $170! I called to discuss the issue with them and while I was on hold my daughter texts me saying the staff is right by her talking about her and I implying we are lying! As I pointed out to the man who got on the phone a prescription is good for one year. Why we would be returning to have a new exam done when she never even got her prescription finalized last time makes no sense at all. I’ve never been so disgusted with a staffs behavior, especially talking like they did about her and I right in front of my daughter!

They are extremely patient and they talk you through all procedures and get a game plan for your total vision needs. Dr prescribed a set of computer glasses that’s literally changed my life I can see no more lifting up to my bifocals and straining my neck!! Don’t wait just call them you will be glad you did!!!

Moved to the area, and was forced to replace my optometrist of 10 years. After some research, I found this place, and boy, am I glad I did.From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us, and offered water and coffee. The check-in process is painless and easy. I was excited to find out they have a place for the kids to play... because I have three. 😜Both doctors (and entire staff in general) were extremely nice and knowledgeable. We had an opportunity to interact with Roxy, Andrea, David, and Matt, and they were amazing.I’m sad we had to replaced our previous eye doctor (because of the distance), but so happy we found this place.Highly recommended!!!

I had a great experience with Dr. Stephanie. Her staff was very welcoming, friendly and professional. Dr. Stephanie took the time to get me fitted for contacts and get my crazy high prescriptions just right for my glasses. I cant remember the opticians name that helped pick out new glasses, but I so appreciate having the personal attention that he gave in helping me pick out a great pair! Ill definitely be back and will be bringing my son in also.

My husband and his mother have been going here for years and the Dr. is GREAT very nice man, but Im guessing maybe hes too nice because he hasnt gotten rid of this one rude employee he has. Everytime We are then this gentleman makes the experience so uncomfortable and is ALWAYS rude to my husband. He has a very short temper with children and I dont see how my husband and his mother keep going to this place. They both say that its all because Dr. Wilken Is worth putting up with one employee who is obviously not happy with his job or his life or maybe both. Maybe Dr. Wilken will clean up his Staff one day, I bet he will have even better business when he does.

My daughter and I have been going to Wilken Family Eye Care for several years. They have a very welcoming office and the staff are always very professional and courteous. We are usually able to get in and out working an hour. I just wish i didn’t feel pressure to purchase new lenses when I’m there. They are very expensive, even after insurance.
