First visit and loved it! We stopped by after visiting the grizzly nursery. Surprisingly, quite a few of their plants were in much better shape. I think they even had more of a selection for indoor plants/non-cold hardy plants. I got a monstrous fern for under $14! Unreal. See pics.Customer service was top notch. Super friendly. They enforce face masks/coverings. Grizzly Nursery does not since its mainly outdoors. Some employees and customers wear them. Not all, just FYI.Pretty great prices. This store reminds me of a mix of a tractor supply store and a home Depot. Highly recommend and will definitely return.Apparently, they send nicely discounted coupons via 📪. Thats what brought us there initially. Become a member-its free! They also offer military discounts. Unfortunately, they forgot to discount mine but I didnt notice until I arrived home. So, theres that. Be better than me and check prior to leaving🤦‍♀️. Besides that, great place. Im going back💯

Last time I shopped at base was on 10/22 and they double charged me so I went back to get the problem fixed and I was told to wait until the end of the day and it Should be fixed or come back and they would refund me back the extra charge, well I came back and Im told to wait another couple of days. Ive spent a lot of money in this store but it looks like Ill be making the trip to Killeen to Lowes for future big purchases.

Since when is there a rain check (reservation) for $1.99 mums!? It was not advertised in your flyers of this. We came out of our way to get them, only to be told this. Their other plants are in dire need of water. We wont be back

I get stuck in this store everytime i go in it! I love all the little gadgets and do it yourself stuff. And it is all for a very reasonable price. They have everything you can think of for indoor and outdoor project needs. Weather it be for the house or the yard they have it all the supplies you will need and the tools to do it.

The customer service at this location is so great!!The store is clean, so full of the same good stuff as the other stores however, it feels less crowded and easier to find what you need and an employee if you should need assistance. Was passing through the area and stopped by to look at plants. Very organized and quite a bit varieties of plants and was very pleased with my purchases. Will definitely stop by again if Im ever in the area. Very helpful and friendly staff in the Garden Area. They have my Green Thumb 👍

The staff helped us in the purchase of a magnolia bush and beautiful Blushing Bride hydrangea. We lost so many of our bushes to the cold weather this last year and love the beautiful selection of healthy ones to replace them. The cashier was even telling me how to fertilize them at the checkout. Cant ask for better service than they gave us.

Home Base is a good place to shop, had lots of employees to assist you and they have everything you need for home improvement. If you live in Cove its much more convenient than driving to Lowes or Home Depot.

Employees and managers can be condescending, and rude. I bought my Stihl at ACE hardware instead. Ace has great customer service, and they never question me when I’d like to use my tax exemption.I will not be coming to this store again- 3 bad experiences are more than enough.Or drive on to Lowe’s or Home Depot.Your audit system has nothing to do with my tax exemption set by the Texas comptroller- hence why I’ve never been treated so poorly, or questioned at any other store. Your employees do not get to say what is and is not tax exempt- that is done by the computer system. Which I was proven right by your computer system on more than one occasion.Thanks for the haphazard response, but no thanks.

Drove over from Gatesville to purchase plants that were advertised. When we got there they had very few plants. There were dead plants on display, and other plants not looking healthy. Not one of the plants advertised were even there. Classic switch and bait advertising. Was NOT pleased at all.

We are new to area and excited to find the Home Base (never heard of them before).Nice looking store. Looks like a miniature Lowe’s.I always try to buy local before I order from Amazon.I found a sprayer their web site. They did not have it in the store. Manager said he could not order it and said maybe they would get some in the spring. Seemed to careless!I ordered it online for $20 cheaper.Side note: The Ace Hardware in Copperas Cove has Supervising Customer Service!!I’ll be back, but they are the last on my list.

No matter the time of day you can always find someone if help is what you need. Everyone i have came across are super friendly and actually will tell you i dont know but i will find the answer and they have done that every single time. Go eneough times and you will notice the same people still working so that tells me the turn around is low and the employees are happy to be there which means they are happy to help you.

You know I really want to like this store, its close to my house and has a large garden section. The plants are poor quality, there is no sort of guarantee on them, I get it, but half of my plants died and I did all that is required and more to take care of them. Went to HEB got the same exact plants for WAY cheaper...those are all still living.Also everytime I am there, or my husband is there, we just feel like we are an inconvenience to the staff. They are snippy, generally unhelpful and Id honestly rather spend my money elsewhere. I doubt we will be back anytime soon.

Im glad this store is a part of the community. It offers great quality products and choices to us all. Prices are mostly competitive, and product is good quality. You will find no junk here. Friendly home town folks to meet and serve. But sometimes we need web site interaction. The web site is absolutely worthless unless you want to look at pics. Hey Corporate, 100 years now you have been around? I think its time to become part of this thing called the internet. Yep, you can actually view your products on line. What a novel idea...Huh? But yes, price comparing on line can keep people out of the store to. Convenience my friends!

This store is convenient when youre coming from the Lampasas area, instead of driving all the way out to Killeen or farther. Its like a smaller Lowes or Home Depot combined. And they offer the military discount too. Great Memorial day display.

The store has a really good small town feel to it but they have a large selection and knowledgeable staff that will actually help you. They also offer military discount for any of you vents are active service Personnel out there.

I was very impressed when I heard that after the tornado that hit our town, HomeBase was staying open as late as needed for locals to come and purchase emergency items.I already had a solidly positive opinion of how great the store was; how it had a small business vibe (instead of a large box store), with exceptional customer service, clean, and the employees truly have pride in working here. Now Im loyal forever.

Visited the Home Base store this morning as I was walking down an aisle I heard a person coughing, as I looked up, on a ladder/standing platform there was an employee with her facemask pulled down hanging from her neck, still coughing, making no effort to cover her nose or mouth. I reversed my direction and noticed that there were many customers in the store not wearing masks. Apparently there is not a mandatory mask policy at Home Base in Copperas Cove, Texas. You lost a family of customers today.

I have never had such an amazing experience in a store. Everyone was so helpful and patient with these first time DIY-ers! We went to a similar store and the wood was packed so high, it made it hard to get what we needed but Homebase was neatly organized and everything was easily accessible. We will definitely be back!

Its a very good store. They have things that Lowes and home depot dont carry. The staff is very nice and seek to help you find what youre looking for. The prices are a little high, but typically have very good products.

The handicap parking is not clearly marked. The parking lot is designed for angled parking. It is hard to know for sure but it appears as if the handicap parking is a straight in spot. Not easily negotiated when busy. Some park angle and some people park straight either way lines are painted in many directions. I spoke to a lady on the phone that said yes but the City done a poor job and she will call the City. I was ok with this but when I was in there I spoke to another manager and ask if I could show her the issue. She was unconcerned and sent an employee that did not appear to care. No respect or care for handicap people

Being contractors we were excited to finally have a store in town for our local jobs. The mom and pop was great, but just way to expensive and the hours werent convenient. Home Base actually surprised us. The prices are spot on, or better. The garden section is actually pretty close to the chain stores, but better prices, and the employees have been amazing. We walk in about once a week and are stopped every time to catch up. Its that small town feel, and its better than I hoped for. A little more variety would be good, but it is still growing, so Im sure the inventory will be worked out in time. Unless or until we get a Menards, I will continue doing as much business as possible here. Very impressed with the service.

The people are sooo friendly. Not only the workers, but the customers as well. I was having a rough day, and the cashier was nice enough to listen. We had a 10 minute conversation before finally leaving. Im not sure if its a copperas cove thing or what. But the employees of this place are all around amazing!

Tried to buy a 300 dollar Stihl chainsaw and no one would help me. What type of employees lets a 300 dollar sale walk out and into a Lowes? Horrible customer service and higher than average prices. Not a local business this is a national corporation shilling as a mom and pop business.Sad.Dont waste your time.

I really like this place. Its new and different than anything else in town. Its spacious, clean and bright. The only complaint I have is that part of the gardening center is almost inaccessible if you are in a motorized cart.
