Originally, we signed up for the two week trial but halfway into the first lesson we knew this was the place for us and signed up immediately. The level of professionalism and care put in to each class astounding; I honestly don’t know where they find the energy for the kids every day.Everyone here genuinely cares about you and your children. They make personal connections that extend beyond the class and make your children feel special. We’ve been here for four months and cannot wait to see all the positive changes and developments that come in the future.

What a wonderful program for assistance with e-learning. I have seen such a tremendous shift in my child, confidence and positive attitude. Great communication from the staff, they feel more like family really. Not to mention clean environment, masks, temperature checks, etc. I highly recommend program.

This review is 2 years in the making. My son started USK the week he turned 5. At that time, we were concerned with some aspects of his personality. He was shy, cried easily, was not assertive and more of a follower than a leader. We knew he had some self-confidence issues and it was showing through in his daily behaviors. We were new to the Coral Springs area, so I looked online and found USK, read so many positive reviews and decided to give it a try. We did the 6 week trial program to start. We thought this would be a good amount of time to see if it was a good fit for our son. At first, we couldnt get Ethan onto the mat. The instructors at USK, were patient with him knew exactly how to gain his trust, they asked for his help, and he became a helper, after they earned his trust, he started participating more and more, and every week got better. After six weeks, there was a significant improvement in Ethans behavior, and there was actually no way I wasnt signing up to be a part of the USK Family! The first belt graduation came along, and we were very excited to move past that white belt, but Ethan was still scared and cried, and ran off the floor over to me, and did not participate in the first graduation. He watched from the bleachers. Slow and steady and consistent work with the amazing, and caring instructors at USK has helped my son with his confidence. Fast forward to his graduation belt ceremony exactly TWO years later, and my son was picked as the leader of his class to lead the ceremony. He is now the senior belt level of his class, and leads the opening of the class all by himself. The amount of courage and confidence he has built from age 5 to 7 is incredible and never would have occurred without the help and assistance of the USK leadership team. My son is a better little human in a short amount of time all from his experience at USK. It is the best investment in the cultivation of his personality that we could have ever done. #bestdecisionever

Our son started his training at USK at age 4! I reluctantly gave into my husband’s suggestions and signed him up not knowing the true gift I was giving my boy.Noah has been training for almost 4 years, he Is becoming more confident at being himself. His strength and endurance is quite impressive. We found a community of leaders that love and guide our boy.You will not be disappointed! This is an amazing school with an amazing leadership team.You will feel welcomed and valued, your child will self develop and be loved. We had our sons birthday party here last week. We choose to have our party here because it is private and the kids get to play all together the whole time. What a great time everybody had! The kids played and played. The set up was perfect and there was more than enough of room for parents and kids. I cant say enough of great things about USK Karate and their staff. I am very thankful for each of you and all you guys do.

I took my son to USK For the 2 week trial and I was very impress with the program, the intructures are amazing the are energetic, friendly and make the class fun. I have never seen my son so excited he loved it there.

My son has been attending USK Karate since he was 3. We were looking for an activity that would focus on his gross motor skills and help burn off some 3-year-old boy energy. USK Karate is that and so much more. As a Kindergarten teacher and mom, I couldn’t be more pleased with the way the teachers interact with all the students. Respect and discipline are taught through consistency and routine and delivered in a kind, fair manner. My daughter is in 1st grade and therefore had only had one previous camp experience. The camp she previously attended was great but also had a ton of kids and teenagers as counselors which isnt a terrible thing, but still kids watching kids... I had inquired about summer camp last year after hearing so many wonderful things about USK and was so sad to hear that it was already full! Once this year rolled around I jumped on the opportunity to have a chance for my daughter to be able to experience this place. So many things about this place make it absolutely wonderful! You definitely get quality care. There isnt a thousand kids and its operated by some of the most wonderful individuals ever. Theyre all very structured, discipline, nice and most importantly trust worthy. It has such a family feel that when you walk out to go to work or wherever you dont even think twice about whether or not youre kid will be well taken care of, because you absolutely KNOW that your child is going to come home having had the best day ever! They would have learned something karate related, acquired a new skill, played a new game, made a new friend or just had a great time. I would give this place 10 stars because its not everyday you find a place that you know will take care of your kid as well as you would. I would highly recommend this place. Amazing place. My son has been attending their special needs class for a year now and the teachers are really great and caring. They make you feel like you are part of the family and have great values. I highly recommend them. As of this last month our entire family is now part of the USK family, both my husband and I really enjoy the adult classes and my 4 year old loves the Mighty Tiger class. :)

This is a fantastic school with amazing instructors. My son began learning karate in North Carolina a couple of years ago and we moved to south Florida almost a year ago. A big concern for us was finding a karate school that is reputable. USK Karate is the complete package! The instructors are always 100% involved in every class and you can tell that every instructor is enjoying what theyre doing. Our son loves the school and we hope he continues well into adulthood.

The staff is amazing. They really made me feel like they cared about the issues I had before signing up. During my visit I spoke with Shelby Sanders and Hans Elie I believe. They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Ive also had the pleasure of seeing footage and a bit of a training class with some of the younger students. I wanted to share with you that we could not have found a better instructor or program for our Montessori School. USK Karate Academy has a great program; Mr Hans, comes to our School once a week to teach self defense and martial arts. The children love him, and they wait so anxiously for every class. He always brings his equipment to make the class more fun and attractive for the children. Mr. Hans is very engaged with the children; instilling a positive learning environment coupled with discipline and overall fun for kids, the children are also active in learning different routines and strive for improvement because they enjoy the whole program. My son has been attending classes for just over six months. We were interested in finding an activity that balanced physical activity and discipline. What we got was much more. He is learning team work; respect for his friends and adults; and building confidence in his physical abilities - all above and beyond what we originally expected when he was enrolled. The instructors absolutely love their jobs which is transferred to the care for the kids - each child is attended to and each ones needs are meet specifically according to their personalities and even more so to their moods on any given day - they push the kids to do their best while keeping the atmosphere welcoming and friendly. I am amazed at their ability to hone in on the needs of each child, truly as if they were their own. Enrolling my son has been one of the absolute best decisions we have made for him - I love the time spent watching him continually improve in so many ways inside and outside of class.

Beware! You will love this place!We got into Karate for our little one, soon later the whole family started doing (14 yr daughter, 5 yr daughter, husband and wife).We got a little concerned about being white belts at our 40s.. but we are having fun.For example: I am a computers software engineer, and this activity is not only putting me away from my iPhone and do something away from the computer, its actually helping me putting my body and my mind into a better shape.This is a family place. You get to know nice people in a very nice environment.I can see the instructors have a nice work environment, and that translates on how they approach kids and adult students.Im sincerely writing this for the good results Im seeing on my family.

USK has a great Leadership Team that are excellent examples of the credos they teach. USK has taught my son focus and given him tools that contribute to building self-confidence. They also look at students as individuals, recognizing their unique gifts and helping them overcome challenges.

My son has been a member of USK for a couple of years. In that time I have seen amazing growth in his self-confidence and physical awareness. The family-like atmosphere and genuinely caring team of instructors makes going to class a pleasure, for both participants and observers. Aside from the stellar martial arts program, USK recently instituted a new leadership curriculum that goes far above what I would expect from a karate studio. Students are prepared for todays challenges as well as the challenges of the future.

Perhaps one way to look at this school is to think of military schools and how they teach values that carry though to all situations in life. Without the military discipline youd find in a military school USK teaches those values in a way that all can understand. And then they make their students internalize and further understand those values by activities in class. When you add that to getting into fantastic shape and feeling that you can now defend yourself and remove many fears we all have of personal safety you then have an activity that is almost priceless. It will change your life very much for the better.

So much more than learning the skills of martial arts or an activity for your children. When you enter USK, its an experience of character building, through victories and defeats. Yes, they are challenged to do their best and be their best in school and outside of it. Tang Soo Do, is as much about attitude, as it is about precision and endurance. And the instructors are priceless! Many have trained at USK since they were kids. They love it and live it. They meet you at the level youre on and know how to encourage you without discouraging you. I had NO intention of becoming a student when I signed my kids up...but I am now! Sore, but, surely Satisfied:)) You wont be disappointed! My deciding in joining the family of USK has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. This month makes 7 months with USK, and in just that amount of time, I have seen the drive that the staff has, it is very enlightening. I cant recommend USK karate enough! We did a lot of research and a lot of thinking and weighing options before we involved our kids at USK. What we get is priceless. We are not paying for karate. We are paying for discipline, teamwork, responsibility, awareness, self-evaluation, setting and accomplishing goals, learning to deal with disappointment, exceeding expectations, learning the commitment it takes to achieve greatness, art, leadership skills, and the opportunities that my children will have because they developed these attributes in a loving and structured and safe environment. My husband and son have been training at USK Karate Academy for over a year now, and they both enjoy going to their training. My son, Blaine, has improved his balance and techniques so much since he started at USK. I am so proud of him that he continues to train there like a warrior does. He also learns so many important life lessons from all the instructors. My husband, David, also loves going to his training. It is helping him get back into shape, as well as learning his marital art techniques. I just love to go and watch both of them, even though they train on separate days, as it is like being home because at USK Karate Academy, everyone is family there from all the students and the instructors. I really love this place. The reason I gave them 5 stars is because I am very self conscious about doing physical activities in front of people. When I came for my first class everyone, staff and other students, were very welcoming and friendly. Throughout the entire class and all the classes since then, I have not felt judged at all. It is an amazing feeling to have somewhere to go were I can just focus on getting in shape and learning to protect myself without feeling bad or awkward.

USK is a wonderful martial arts school. All who enter are treated like family. The students are taught age appropriate activities that teach them not only martial arts but sportsmanship, confidence and respect. Children are learning invaluable lessons while having fun at the same time. The instructors are amazing with all age groups.

We have three boys in USK Karate Academy( 6,8,and 9 ). We have been here for years. My oldest started when he was four. Fantastic program for all of them. Its fun yet has important lessons of life intertwined throughout the course. USK has helped our family create an atmosphere of discipline, respect, and honor. Our boys have uncommon focus, motivation and determination that can be largely attributed to the caring, loving and family oriented environment that they take so much pride in being a member. Making the initial decision is the hardest part. All I can recommend is that if you are considering a martial arts school (or any other extracurricular activity), do yourself a favor, come in, meet the staff (they are absolutely fantastic), talk to some of the parents, stay for a class or two, and I bet youll be hooked! This is a great karate school! The facility is kept very clean, and the kids absolutely love the place. The staff is very professional, but also very kind and approachable. I used to do karate as a kid, and I truly wish this place was around back then!

My son started at USK and the instructors worked with him and really held him accountable which made him feel important. Three months later, my older daughter joined and loves it! The school has a real family friendly atmosphere and feels like home!

I began at USK when I was 8 years old. I was a pudgy, hesitant third grader who continuously got picked on in school because of my weight.Other students looked at me differently because of this and I was not at all socially accepted. My grades were on the decline, and I could not fulfill menial chores such as taking out the trash without complaining first. In my opinion, joining USK is probably one of the best things that has happened to me. After I began training, my family and peers began to notice a dramatic change. I unraveled as a human being, learning to express myself and stand up to those who bullied me not with fists, but with a strong heart and mind. I was no longer picked on because of my weight(because I lost it!), and my concentration skills and reverence for my loved ones reached an apex. Currently I am a Senior in High School about to graduate at the top of my class. I am involved of multiple organizations at my school, and Im in shape. Though I am no longer a student of USK, I owe this dramatic life change to the staff and individuals of USK Karate Academy for instilling powerful values and virtues that will remain with me for the rest of my life.Sending your child to USK might just be the best decision you might make for them. We have tried several activities with both my 6 & 8 year old daughters and nothing seemed to grab their attention. At a community event the girls took interest in the USK booth and we decided to give it a try. Now we are full members and we have gone from going twice a week to 3 times a week and this week we are going for 4! They love coming here and would go everyday if we could take them. I personally love watching them thrive and all the other students. Its very much a feel good place. So happy we found it!

When I first found USK Karate Academy in 1995 I was a shy teenager with some balance and coordination issues (due to growing consistently taller every year without pause). Over the years my coordination and balance have improved vastly and Im certainly not as shy as I used to be. In fact, Ive spent several years teaching at the school and other places, something I never would have dreamed of earlier in my life.Training at USK has many more benefits than just exercise and physical skills. There is a family atmosphere that isnt found in many places these days. I wouldnt trade my years of training and experience for anything imaginable. I was so skeptical in getting started with martial arts but, my husband convinced me to take 1 class with him and I was hooked! The instructors at USK are so supportive and encouraging. Tang soo do is truly a mind, body, and spirit type of sport. A very clean, hands on, and healthy environment. All staff members are outstanding and willing to help out. I loved the fact that students of all ages and backgrounds were welcome! My Son started at USK with a trial about 1 year ago. I was skeptical that he was going to excel in karate because my son has Autism. He is now 8 years old and a green belt. On his first day there he fought and protested, screaming I hate you and we are not going in. As soon as he crossed the threshold he turned around and hugged my wife and told her thank you we are home. From that day forward we were home. The staff and owners have treated us like family. They intrinsically knew how to reach my son and I will forever be grateful for that. I recently started training with my son and it is something that as a father of an autistic son I never thought I would be able to do. The entire school treats my son as one of their own and I am not just talking about the staff. The students accept him and are never rude or judging. This place, these people, this community, will help develop the moral character, spirit and leadership in your children and yourself. I am a better person from meeting these people and my son is too. My family started training at USK Karate Academy in August 2012. My wife had been referred there by friends who have an autistic child just as we do, and they told us how great the instructors are and what improvements their son is making. We enrolled our two children and what a difference it has made in both of them. Our son has developed more coordination and confidence. Weve noticed better focus and discipline in both of our kids lives. The message and the philosophy in the training reinforces making good moral decisions and respect for others. This wasnt just like joining any karate school, we had enrolled my son in a different school a couple years prior, but this was joining a family. The instructors and owners have really taken the time to get to know my family and make us feel welcome. We know that they have the best interest at heart with our children. When you think about Martial arts, you think about self defense, figthing and being tough, but USK Masters amazes me the way they train our kids!!!!You dont want your 3,4,5 and 6 years old to be treated as adults just because they are learning Martial Arts. My son started a few weeks ago, his dad insisted in getting him involved in something. I will say I was a bit hesitant. This class has been good for both my 4 year old and I. We both needed to work on a bit of separation. The staff is amazing and very loving. I am so pleased! Noah looks forward to each class.

Ten short years ago I signed up my 4 and 7 year old sons at USK Karate for different reasons, My 7 yr old was a little clumsy and my 4 yr old had a bit of an attitude. Who knew that after watching them mature into fine young respectful boys I too would become a student. The instructors and staff at USK Karate offer much more than just Karate; they reinforce the values we try so hard as parents to instill in our children as they grow, and they encourage discipline while building courage. Even a 40 something father can make great personal strides, not to mention getting back into shape. So thank you USK, thank you for everything.

We are a USK family! All our kids love it there. And we enjoy that they treat all of us as part of their family. The theme parties are a huge hit with the kids and we as parents like that there is a safe, comfortable and educational place for our kids.

It all started 8 years ago when my son Carlos started training with USK. We were looking for a school where my son could do some physical activity and at the same time learn discipline, respect, endurance and some other values to become the good young man he is today and I honestly can say part of it it is the fruit of what he learned at USK Karate. My son has been at USK since the age of three and it is absolutely astounding to see his growth on a month to month basis. We had birthday party for my son with USK karate (2 times) and it was amazing! Very well organized and fun games kids really enjoyed it and my son had a blast!

Its been a little more than a year since Ive started at USK, and I cant believe how attached Ive become. Not only are the martial arts fun and energizing, but also rather calming and stress relieving. In between homework and, well, more homework, Tang Soo Do has added five and a half calming hours to my week where I can just unwind... and punch stuff ;-). Its not only the martial art though, not at all, its the instructors that teach it. Determination to teach and confidence that you can learn leak from their every fluid action, and training wouldnt be the same without them. All in all USK Karate Academy is fun, energizing, relaxing, and a great way to stay in shape and build confidence for people of all ages.

An excellent learning environment for martial arts students. Their Instructors are 2nd to none and they train to standard not time. They are friendly and very willing to help you out if you arent sure of a particular subject. They are hands down the best Martial Arts school I have ever been to, and I have been to a lot in my travels.

My son has been taking lessons at USK for almost a year. I initially signed him up as he was a VERY active child and USK was recommended as a great place to help with his focus, and it has worked. Attending lessons is something my son really looks forward to and he is eager to do better each time. Thank you USK!

I have been a part of USK for more than 15 years. I started with my kids when they were young and then became a student myself. I enjoy the family atmosphere and the instructors are awesome. They are always patient and encouraging.

My son has has been going here for three months and he loves it! He recently attend the spring break camp and everyday would come home excited with great stories. The staff is second to none.

I only went to a birthday party and organizers need to learn a couple of things: kids should not be picking who is going to be in their team. There is always those 3 or 2 last ones that are not be chosen until the very end. There are MANY ways to select teams randomly without making some kids feeling like they are not included. Piñata rules: you start with the b/day kid, then the smallest kids and walk your way based on height. In this party only 3 kids got to hit the piñata because it was picked randomly and the 2nd and 3rd were big kids who of course broke it. The other 15ish kids just watch! Seriously?!? Kids need more than just 15 min to eat pizza. In general, I could tell the place was trying to spend the least amount of their money in this b/day party.

USK Karate has been a blessing for my little one, she has grown with confidance, learned discipline and perseverance.

My son has been a student of USK Academy ( Tang Soo Do) for 9 years, he stared when he was just 4 years old. It is amazing how this experience has helped him in many aspects of his life. The instructors teach and reinforce discipline, respect, self stem, self control, being organized, confidence, friendship and more. They are excelent role models for the students and is great for people of all ages.
