I used to come here between classes years ago for bagels and remember them being good, but the service turned me off. I returned recently for the first time in maybe 2 years and was really impressed with how friendly everyone was compared to in the past. That really matters a lot to me when choosing who to give my money to. The food was still great as well. Zero complaints here.

Just moved to the area at the end of 2020 and tried Better on a Bagel this morning for the first time. My wife likes jalapeño cream cheese, and the lady mixed her some up on the spot. The bagels were fresh and delicious, prices were awesome. We’ll be regulars for all our bagels and sandwiches!!

Place was packed but service was quick and more important the food was GREAT!

Come here at least 2 or 3 times a week, best in town if youre looking for a fresh bagel or egg sandwich cant be beat, also should try the country bowl with my personal fav extra cheese. Amazing!

Excellent bagel place. They make the bagels on premises so they are always fresh and good. They have homemade cookies and muffins. Breakfast sandwiches are also excellent. Everything is top notch quality. Don’t let the small size of the store and the shopping strip building that it is in fool you. This place is better than most big bagel places in big shopping centers and they also have a nice deli. Cold cuts, chicken salad, etc.

Bagels are soft and fresh no matter what time if day you get them. Perfect for toasting as they can be a bit undercooked at times. Good selection, nothing fancy, polite staff. Its the best place to get sunflower seed bagel they make with seeds baked in so they dont just fall off the top.

This was pre covid. Placed an order ahead waited in the shop to pick up. I was next in line when it began to pick up and there was a rush in the store. The same woman who was so nice on the phone while taking my order didn’t even acknowledge my place in line wouldn’t look in my direction once she finished the man in front of me and then proceeded to call someone else next! Was so rude. I had to mention to her I was next. But I hear my voice doesn’t match my skin tone so I guess she was expecting someone not of my complexion 🤷🏽‍♀️ This was in December. It’s not a better bagel at all.

The bagels here are amazing. We come at least once a week even though its a bit of a drive for us. Very fresh and very quick service. The bagels stay fresh even after multiple days so they are great to take home and stock up on them for the week.

Honestly, you guys need to put the coffee out for the customers to pour themselves. I know its a small store but for a small coffee that I just purchased myself, people preferences. My coffee has majority creamer & barely any coffee & wasted my money because its too sweet. If I wanted to drink straight up creamer I could have just bought creamer from the store. Also no one always has the time to wait for the long line of people waiting for bagels or food in front of you when you just need coffee & no food.

We always love the bagels here. We order often. We dont often carry cash and sometimes its annoying that its a cash only place. Some of the staff could be a little nicer in my opinion. We have yet to check out their other larger location.

Love going here. The ladies here are friendly and first name with their regulars.

This place literally NEVER EVER gets an order right. We keep track in our house (as a joke) of how many times we are missing something, or took home a wrong order. Other than that the food is just decent. Really great crispy home-fries, if you like them crispy that is.

Its your typical BEC but some great service.

Stopped on my way to a job site& got a BEC scrambled on a poppy bagel. The bagel was soft and fresh, bacon was cooked well. Would def recommend on the fly

Great Mom and Pops place with good, fresh bagels. Egg bagels are not quite as yellow as the other guys because they actually use real eggs instead of food coloring!

Always over and beyondThe Food & Staff

Food is pretty solid but when you call to order they put you on hold and then hang up. When you try to call back you get a line in use tone. Every single time. Go to Bagel Express instead, half the wait and they actually answer their phone.

Im giving it 5 stars for the friendly women who work there and the cost of their bagel which are smaller on size and add ons are cheaper than any fat boy bagel in town. Their bagels arent the best but you can count on the cost and the experience .

The sandwiches and service is why this is my only bagel spot when I come visit my family here in Coram when I leave brooklyn😊
