This shop is awesome and its definitely because of the people. I was on the hunt for a particular bike that is impossible to find right now throughout the country, and while on a trip to Charlotte checked around locally to discover this little gem of a shop in Cornelius had exactly the bike I wanted and in my size too. A true unicorn find. I called them first thing in the morning and told them Id drive up from Charlotte and buy it that day if they set it up to my specs and help me replace the handle bars. These guys went above and beyond to make this purchase experience perfect. They even let me set up my laptop behind the shop desk so I could get some work done while they worked on everything. Bonus points for awesome tunes the entire time I was there. Best little bike shop Ive ever been to (dont tell my LBS).

Needed help with rear shock issue. Guys their were very helpful and nice. They didn’t charge me for the help which I appreciate. Better than Spirited.

At 4:18pm Friday March 12 was my visit. No stars given actually but I had to put one for Google to post this comment. I walked in The Cycle Path ready to spend money and I also had a couple of questions about the inventory. I walked around looking at products for a solid 5 minutes. No one greeted me, acknowledged my existence, or even let me know they would be with me shortly. I had my mask on. Employees were behind the counter. Very disappointed in the customer service by encountering this and will spend my money elsewhere.

Hands down the best LBS in the area. I cracked my 6 month old bike frame a week before a big race. Mark and Evan were in my corner from the start and had me on a loaner bike for the weekend while they processed my warranty claim. They had the manufacturer overnight me a new frame and they had me back on the trial within 3.5 business days from the time I walked in the shop!! Unparalleled customer service!!

My son, a student at Davidson College took his bike for a flat tire repair. He was quoted $18 for the repair.When he returned to pick the bike up, they had difficulty locating the bike, and then said it was $24.Staff was unprofessional to him, and not only did they increase the price for no reason, his brakes were disconnected.Highly encourage folks to steer clear of Cycle Path.

I was in the middle of a fantastic Cornelius to Davidson bike ride on my Elecrtra Townie 7D when the handle bars became loose. The bike wasn’t rideable but I was able to hobble my way to the Cycle Path. Mark Sullivan was there to save the day. He tightened up my bars and had me on my way and didn’t charge me a thing! Great service!

I have been a client for years. Purchased both my sons mountain bike and my own at Cycle Path. They have always had a great turnaround and do excellent work.As I got more serious about my biking I was looking to upgrade my bike. Mark suggested to upgrade my gears before getting a whole bike upgrade. This year, for the first time ever, I was able to make the dreaded Hill climb on Laurel Loop at LKN State Park (after the creek crossing). This was a huge mental victory for me.The entire staff are there to help you improve your ride. Very personable and a great local connection if you enjoy biking.

Scheduled and did a bike fit for my hardtail mountain bike at the Cycle Path. The manager Evan did the fit (Body Geometry Fit certified)...he was professional, knowledgeable, and listened to my concerns. He took his time and made all necessary adjustments. There have been follow ups on the fit and adjustments as needed...this only adds to the already personal feel and attention to detail. The fit was fantastic. My bike actually feels like it fits me, as if its an extension of myself...making my rides more enjoyable and productive. Comfort with increased power. I highly recommend scheduling a fit with Evan at The Cycle Path-you will not be disappointed.

Best place to buy a bike or service your bike

Been a regular MTB customer for repairs for a few years - excellent service. They go out of their way to explain what they fixed and give solid estimates prior. They have honest pricing and advice. When i had a shifting issue after a tune-up, they re-repaired while showing me how to make some home improvements and then gave it an aggressive run in the lot to ensure all was well again. Selection on bikes was somewhat limited. They also rent some top line bikes as well as give back to the biking community via participation at trail work days.

Awesome bike shop with great selection and a wealth of knowledge. They keep hard to find parts in stock to keep you on the trail. Mark and Evan do a great job and always help you find the right bike and parts for your needs.

My experience with the Cyclepath keeps getting better and better. Over the past three years I have found them consistently friendly, supportive of the cycling community, and excellent at sales and repair for all types of bikes (MTB, road, gravel, etc.). They performed a Fox fork lower service there almost 3 years ago and it remains smooth and performant. Most recently I worked with Evan at Cyclepath on some bike fit issues I was having. He was professional and clearly explained the process. Im already seeing improvements. There are a lot of great shops around North Mecklenburg, but the Cyclepath really stands out.

Great guys, very helpful and knowledgeable. Ive had minor problems when riding in Davidson and Ill pull in and they have taken care of me on the spot. I have them handle my maintenance on both my road and mountain bike. Ive also rented the Specialized mountain bikes from them, to see if I wanted to buy one.

Been chasing ghost shifting and rear tire rub on a newer MTB. I am very happy with the work Cycle Path did as the bike shifts better than new and with a dish reset on the rear tire, the rub disappeared. Way happy now!

Ive used these guys for small repairs and maintenance that I dont have the skills to do and they have always been fast and reasonable. When Ive stopped by with a minor repair, they did it on the spot, including re-threading a stripped crank arm. Cycle Path epitomizes what it means to be a LOCAL bike shop, not a chain. Ill use them every time our small family fleet of bikes need work, they are the best.UPDATE 8 years since my first review: Still awesome.

No good deed goes unnoticed the guys at cycle path turned up my front brake caliper for free. I’m not saying you should go here to get free service. People need to make money; however, I was an out of towner in a pinch on vacation and these guys did me a huge solid. Highly recommend.
