I had to opportunity to stop into the Wall of Books bookstore in Cornelius, NC while I was in the area last weekend. It is easily accessed from I-77, if you need to pop in for a book to read on your beach vacation. I found the store to be absolutely wonderful. It was everything I hope a little bookstore will be.The stop was filled from ceiling to floor with an incredible selection of books and novelties and offered cozy little chairs for reading in the corners. I found myself meandering through the little mazes of shelves. I would say there was something for everybody. I have not doubt my kids would have loved to spend time shopping the Melissa & Doug selection when they were little. I enjoyed the whimsy and eclectic touches throughout too. We were greeted with a smile from the stores owner, Melinda, who offered guidance and suggestions to me and the other customers who came in. It was nice to see that the steady flow of people reinforced the fact that people still want to hold a book in their hands today. I cant wait to return!

Absolutely excellent. Great selection of books and the staff is incredibly helpful and kind. The best used bookstore Ive found in the area.

Very delighted to find this book store only a few miles from my house. They have a ton of books both new and used and the prices are great. You can also bring in used books for store credit. I was in the store for over 30 minutes and was never asked if I needed any help (nor did I go ask for help). Feedback- this is a great place if you arent looking for a specific book as the books arent very well organized and there were stacks in multiple places up against the book shelves.

Love this cute little bookstore! The staff is friendly while the book selection is massive with low prices. The animals that greet you there are also a plus!

Such a fun book store! The owner is kind and makes you want to come back in often with her great stash of book finds. There are so many nooks of books. We love it! Used and new with a child friendly vibe. Gifts for when you need a last minute and quality find.

As a book lover and a cat lover, I should no doubt love this place, right? Well, nothing could be further from the truth. Calliopes a sweet little rescue kitty, but the lady behind the counter (presumably the owner) was perhaps the most disinterested and lackadaisical proprietor Ive ever seen in a book store in my life--and Ive been in hundreds, if not thousands. The books arent very organized either and after asking for some help, she just pointed in a general direction and went back to her obviously more important task of doing something on her phone. I certainly have no intention of ever returning to this establishment again.

Nice little store that you feel like you can get lost in. I almost always find something and think I cant believe they have this! We will definitely continue to come here, first, to find whatever book we are looking for.

Prices arent bad but service and helpfulness needs some work. Its pretty bad when people running store or children of owner I believe have a snobbish additude toward customers. Books not in order but person working would rather be setting reading than taking care of store.when asked questions about how process worked acted like it was a bother to explain process.

One of my favorite bookstores that I’ve visited. You can bring in books for store credit! If you bring back books and keep the sticker on, you get even more store credit. They have new stock in always. They do recommendations. This is in the Lake Norman area so I’m not surprised by some of the snotty reviews.No oNe aSkEd iF I NeEdEd hElP ... it’s a bookstore. How much help to you need? Open your mouth and ask a question LOL. I’m not greeted every single time I enter and it’s really not that serious 😂.Anyways, the ladies that work there are all very kind! The store is organized by the author’s last name starting on the right side and it swings around. There are special spots for certain genres. There used to be a store cat but I haven’t seen her in a awhile. Precious chunkieeee girl.

I found the woman working today,July 24, pm very rude! One area I was trying to look in had two huge bean bags in the center of the area and after trying to place my feet, I tried to leave the area only to find a huge cat in the middle of the door. I stopped immediately. Employee was looking at her phone she said, come on he will move! I said, No I just had surgery from falling. Finally the cat moved. I selected 6 books and paid for them. Employee never said a word to me just handed me my change. No customer service whatsoever! Did not ask me if I found everything I was looking for, thank you for coming in!!!!! I am sorry this is not acceptable in my view point. Never will I put my foot in there again.

I found Wall of Books when I moved to Cornelius a few months ago while trying to familiarize myself with the area. To start, the owner Melinda is a very lovely woman with an endless passion and knowledge for and of books. The gentleman who posted the 1 star review either caught her in a phenomenally bad moment or he came in with a serious attitude because I have always had nothing but pleasant encounters with her. Caliope is a wonderfully happy chonk of a kitty who just adds a serene boost to the atmosphere. The book selection has variety and organization, and in the off chance you cant find what youre looking for, Melinda will order it for you! It is a shame I am leaving next month. I will miss this shop and especially little Caliope ❤

Found Walls of Books, in Cornelius, by chance as I drove past their location on the interstate. I had no idea we had two local bookstores in the Lake Norman area, so I was excited to drive over and visit the location. I was so pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of new and used books, and the prices are fantastic. I also love the book memorabilia and kids toys that are scattered around the store. Its so important that we support all of our local bookstores in Charlotte. We have so few that we must take advantage of all they have to offer. I will be spending many days at Walls of Books. They had a used book, in perfect condition, that I have been searching for, for quite some time. Such a pleasant surprise all around! I cannot wait to share it with other book lovers! The shopping center around the bookstore is also fantastic, so many wonderful food options, my favorites are Sangam Indian Cuisine Restaurant and Ferruccis Old Tyme Italian Market.
