2012 Ford F-150, had destroyed front struts after miles and miles of hard wobbling at interstate speeds (130k total). They worked with me getting struts replaced and even helped when I decided to get tires from someone else because I got a better deal - no issues. True professionals. 1 Week later, pulling the truck out of the drive way my front right tire steering goes crazy. I’ve got two front tires that can’t decide which direction to point. It seems like something may have gone wrong during the work on the front struts, I explain the issue and concern with the steering control arm they immediately get me a tow to the shop, check it out, figure out the issue and send me pics to make sure I feel comfortable with their work and fix. And like true business men they handled the costs and made sure I was a happy customer. I will be coming here when I need work done and would suggest to anyone to do the same. Nate was the lead handling I think both of my appointments and I believe Joe?? Older mechanic gentleman? Either way I’d like to give a shout out to those two, very good dudes and trustworthy. They fixed my baby. Thanks guys.

They screwed me over for inspection. Gave my spot away. Said I was scheduled to be there yesterday. Said “I was”. They had no availability. They showed me on screen I was scheduled for yesterday at 4. Same time I was there. Guy said he would schedule me for 8 AM the next day. Had openings up till 10 am. Looked at screen while there. All full. I am at Valvoline now. In and out quick! I guess they wanted more profitable jobs. They may have lost business for 3 cars I take there.

In the middle of a 12-hour road trip, we found we had a screw in a tire. Not great with dog and kid in the car. The guys at Mavis were fantastic. They expedited our repair and had us on the road again in 45 min. Highly recommend!

My friend and I were out of town here on a trip and got a flat tire. 4:30 on a Sunday in North Carolina, we were sure that we were SOL. We pulled up here at about 4:37 and everyone on the staff was so helpful in getting us fixed up and out of there as soon as possible. I would never choose to go back to Mavis Tires for any type of service. First of all its a new york-based telemarketing operation. You call in can you get people that are not at the store and know very little about automotive repair or tires. Secondly youll get three different prices. The price of the store, the price on the website as a consumer, and the price given to you by the telemarketing rep. Made an appointment for brakes for my truck, four new tires, arrived as plan 2 Days Later only to find out they had trouble getting them and never bothered to call. Did have them put four new tires on my travel trailer. Three different people did the job did not put the same air pressure in all four tires never bothered to put caps on the valve stems and very unprofessional and undertrained. Bottom line why go here when their other more competent service providers.UPDATE........A Manager read my review and called me to make things right. I gave them another chance...a bit of grace and this time they did a great job. I bought 4 new tires for my Ram truck & a complete brake job.

My oil light came on, during my commute to work last week. I called Mavis and even though they were busy told me to stop by to make sure I was safe to drive home. When I went on my lunch break they put oil in free of charge, no wait time and super friendly staff. Definitely recommend.

The staff there were absolutely amazing. They took the time to review “estimated” pricing before even going in. He gave me the best rate i could find so of course I went in. Every staff member was extremely friendly when I went in. I never like the play the race card. But I am an African American woman and I am often concerned that when I go to an auto repair shop with staff of another race, there may be some tension in light of all that’s taking place in the world these days. But not here, everyone was amazing!!! I was treated with fairness and that means the world to me in and of itself! The area was extremely clean. At the time that I went, not many people were waiting so the social distancing was great! They were the best rates that I found in this area for what I needed. So if you’re looking for a shop that will give great prices, that is clean and friendly to EVERYONE that walks in the door- going here is a must!

Had gotten a quote for 2 tires from some other guys, figured I call Mavis to check prices. Greg and his team made me feel very comfortable. I went in for a nail in my tire. They came out and told me that the nail did not penetrate so I did not need a plug. Very honest! They did a quick glance over at my brakes and even though I told them they were squeaking they told me I still had life in them. They were not trying to sell me something I did not need! I will definitely be taking my car there for a tune up and I will let everyone know about my experience.

Wonderful group of people working there. Got a flat tire on a Saturday infront of their store. The guys came out and helped me put my spare tire on.. I have 8 lug big heavy wheels and will be buying my new tires from them without a doubt.. Thanks Mavis tire !!

I called and asked what brand they use for replacement parts? They Gave me a certain name brand which I preferred so I took my vehicle there and they did the bait and switch routine.... tried to install lesser quality and off brand parts. My advice to any customer is ask to look at your parts prior to them being installed.

For the few times I had to bring my car for repairs and maintenance, they have done great work and fair prices. I always do leave satisfied!

Took my Acura TL in for tire rotation and balancing. They quoted me a price over the phone which I thought was fair, it took me a few days to make time but I finally was able to swing pass and drop my car off for the work. Not only did they slash the price they quoted me almost 50% but they also got me in and outta there so fast I almost couldn’t believe it. Now my car floats on the road, absolutely no tire shake whatsoever. I just had my tires balanced at another shop about 3 days prior to coming here and it was terrible I couldn’t even go over 60mph without my car shaking so I choose not to go back there and try these guy out since they have the really good tire balancers. I know the machine pretty much does all the work but if not for a knowledgeable tech even the best machines are useless. So shout out to the tech who did my tires!! Thank you MT&B Cornelius

I had an appointment because my sensor light had come on telling me to replace the brake light, I took it in Joel gave me an attitude and said I was there a few days ago and that the light was fine I told him it needed to be checked because my sensor kept coming on, he gave me an attitude and said my sensor light would not go out I told him to have them look at it ! The game came in and told Joel the employee that it needed replacement. Joel and the employee did not come and tell me I overheard them then it was taking so long. I looked in the back and Joel told me they had to go get another bulb no one ever came and told me and Joel the employee just sat there and played on his phone I got angry and told him I didnt appreciate his attitude he gave a fake appoligy and I told him to leave me alone and sat outside in the. Cold just to get away from him after I saw my car was ready I went inside to pay Joel then said to me I thought we had a good relationship that creeped me out ! I only took my car there to have it worked on I told him to stop harassing me I told him I would never return there. Horrible experience and rude employees.

Convenient location and easy to come in. Staff is typically defensive about wait times. Their call center gives one time and then when you arrive they say,that person doesn’t work in our location so they have no idea. It is a frustrating experience for both the customers and the staff. Staff should be apologizing vs. getting upset with the customer. Not really a fan of the customer service experience. This is after 4 separate visits.

Don’t post negative reviews but this place deserves it after the second time now. First time consisted of a schedule oil change and tire rotation for my son. Left the car 15 minutes before appointment and came back 3 hours later to no work completed. Decided to give them another chance. Quoted online for one amount and confirmed morning of. Took vehicle in for scheduled time. 3 hours later finally done. Went to pay and the amount was $94 higher. No communication of the struggles they had with not having the correct tires in stock which delayed service and then paid more. Dummy me, should have fought harder but was already running late for another commitment. Place has gone down hill since changing to Mavis.

Perhaps one of the best experiences I have had for brakes and tires. Terrific customer service which went above and beyond to make sure my car was safe, fixed correctly and all for much less then I had originally hoped.

Getting new tires today at Mavis in Cornelius was quicker than expected and seamless. My kids really enjoyed the kids play area. Joe kept us well updated on the work done and timing. Prompt and professional service was appreciated and we will definitely be back!

Over 1 hour to remove a nail from 1 tire. Made appt for 9am. First in door car pulled back and then the waiting begins. I take a look and hood up, trunk open, guys its a nail in a tire. Had to offer to go back and.mount the tire myself and it still took them another 15 minutes...next time I will drain the nitrogen from the tire and fix it myself...10 minutes max...

The manager Joe is rude and I cancelled my appointment because of the way I got spoken to when I called that morning. I get its busy right now but its not acceptable to speak to a customer rudely and with an screw you attitude. I will never go back to this location.

I had a great experience on a Saturday with Joe in the Cornelius location. I came in scheduled for new brakes and they accommodated several additional services I decided to add last minute. They did this despite the fact that they were very busy. This is my first time here and I will be back.

This is the WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN!! Both times I have used them for flat tires they FAIL TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I made the mistake to use them the second time but I promise there won’t be a third and I hope I can steer others away from this issue. Granted there may be good mechanics that work there, I just haven’t ran into one yet.

Got me right in. Beat a competitors price on Michelin high-performance summer tires. Service at the counter was prompt, respectful, and very courteous. When I went to get my car, I asked about a noise on my daughters car, and the manager, Paul, put it right up on a hoist, diagnosed the issue, and provided a very reasonable quote to replace the tie bars. Ill definitely be a regular customer.

At my first visit since the change of ownership, I thought Mavis offered a decent price on the new tires, but I was not happy with some additional charges once the bill arrived. Today I returned to get some very wide race tires mounted. I knew Griffith Brothers had the right equipment to take on this task which other shops do not have, so I asked if they still had the machinery. They confirmed they did, and recommend a specific tech to take on the task. Later I picked up the wheels, and was overly impressed with my customer service and the great job on the wheels. One of the employees asked for my keys to back up my truck to load the wheels in the back for me. He insisted on doing it himself, and without my request. Very friendly and helpful staff. The mounting charges were very reasonable. If Mavis continues to offer this level of customer service, they will become successful like the great employees from the previous Griffin Brothers. Thumbs up guys, thanks. I will be back. Just watch out for those add-ons :)

My car was leaking oil, they quickly checked it, and gave my good Guidance, free.

Had a flat tire with a nail in it. They claimed they could not do the repair because it was on a 3 inch lift f250. after calling three other maviss apparently that was just a lie to get out of doing a service that was only $25Follow up to their response. Apparently, there are jobs too big for you. Its okay Discount Tires did it for FREE!

In the past 2 weeks, Ive visited Mavis for car repairs. Joe, the store manager has been extremely helpful, understanding and kind during these trying times. Its evident that Joe and his staff go out of their way to take care of your car needs. Unlike most auto shops, they actually care.I had my car towed in this morning with a flat which they repaired at no cost and on top of that, they gave me a tire rotation.Later this afternoon, I noticed the same tire was flat again. I called Joe and he was kind enough to send two of the guys, Jessie and Dillan, over to see what happened and repair it as needed so that I wouldt have to pay for towing again. They took the tire off my car and took it back to the shop. They returned within 30 minutes and instead, replaced it with a new tire. It apparently had a side air leak which could have been easily overlooked. I now have a new tire and my car is good as new.I cant thank Joe and his staff enough for all their help with my car during this difficult time. They have all been kind, attentive and Ill forever be grateful. Especially as they work to help us all keep our cars running which for some of us, its what we depend on for work.I highly recommend Mavis for all your car needs.

Been here twice to have my car fixed and both Chris there are great. This shop is amazing but really stands out for three reasons.1. The service there is unbelievably fast. I have had my car worked on twice and both times I have been able to pick it up the same day.2. These guys will pick you up, drop you off, and call you with updates - pretty much do whatever to ensure you can still get to work or get your car picked up easily. Without this service the trouble of getting your car fixed would be huge.3. The customer service here is impeccable. Ive worked with several people and theyve all been consistently courteous and customer-focused. Griffin Brothers definitely has a lifelong customer after all of this.
