Our refrigerator died. We shopped around and either the box stores are display only (can order the product and deliver, which can take quite some time), or the one store that actually sold refrigerators with stock, did not have a model that fit our dimensions. We decided to call CBC and to our surprise, the President of the company answered the phone. He was walking by and the Associates were busy, so he picked up the phone. He said they have what we need and to stop by at our earliest convenience! That says a lot about this company. Virginia assisted us. She was amazing, very knowledgeable about the product. Knowing that our refrigerator actually broke, she was able to deliver within two days when their delivery schedule was out one week. This was an awesome company to deal with! Go to CBC, you won’t be disappointed!!

We’ve always been happy with our experiences at Corning Building Company. Recently went in to purchase a new washer after ours blew up. Called ahead and was very happy with information we were given and the professionalism of the woman we spoke to. Went in the next day and were waited on as soon as we walked in the door. During our time there we had no less than five different employees ask if we were being taken care of. The manager even came out to look at the pics of our deceased washer. Would have given a 5 if the prices were a bit more friendly, but don’t mind paying a little extra in exchange for great customer service. If you need to speak with folks with brains and knowledge of your needs go to CBC. If not, feel free to go to those big box stores.

Corning building company has been our familys go to store for years, if you have an older house and need parts this is the place to go!

Weve just recently swung the bulk of our hardware store shopping to here and Bulkhead Hardware in Southport from the big box stores. Youre greeted when you come in (a small thing, I know) and its usually easy to get assistance if you need it. Prices are only a little higher on some things, lower on others. Ill trade all that to help a local business. I havent yet purchased lumber here but have heard so many coworkers claim the quality is higher, you dont end up with warped or cracked boards, and they stay as well stocked as possible. For the pandemic cautious, they actively push mask wear in the store, more so than Home Depot, where the employees are often maskless. Havent had a bad trip there yet. Even if they dont have what Im looking for, Im never sorry I stopped in.

I love to browse and shop at Corning Building Company, never know what youre going to find and they have about anything your looking for . Sales people are always helpful and they know where everything is located in the store .

This hardware store brings back memories of times before Home Depot and Walmart. They have extremely helpful employees and a thorough selection. Convenient location for those living in town. As a new resident of Corning I will be going to the store frequently.

Customer service really took the time to walk me around the store to help me find things. Then one of the guys in the lumber yard was very helpful in showing me plywood that I was interested in and he also offered to cut it to size for me.

What a great buying experience! I initially intended on purchasing a stove from Lowes because i was able to shop online and pick out something at a Big Box price. I went through with the order and everything to find out that the stove was not in store or in route for delivery the day that i had scheduled it to be delivered. I then went to Lowes and refunded my purchase with a hassle from them. I was still in need of a new stove so i figured i would try CBC. From the time i walked into the door to the time my product was delivered was nothing but accommodating and great! The salesman working in the appliance informed me they price match and when i had chosen my stove he set all of the delivery information with no hassle. Also when the delivery staff was on their way they gave me a call and installed the product in a timely fashion along with showing me the features. Like i said the buying experience was nothing but great right from the beginning!!! Thank You CBC!!!!

Went in to get some plumbing supplies 10 minutes before closing, and I pretty much got forced out. Ive never seen a business close right at its actual closing time. It was like I was inconveniencing them by purchasing something. Im sticking to lowes and the Home Depot, even if I have to drive the extra miles.
