Bought online with store pickup. I was in a big rush, with no time to shop in the store. They move really fast, my order was ready, it took me 2 minutes to get in and out. Very efficient, nice employees, great place.

AC spruce penalizes you for selecting US Postal Priority at check out. Orders process slowly - sometimes taking up to a week to just get out the door. Not happy with this. And, it happens every time. I own a business and we use both UPS and USPS and or orders go out on the same day. USPS is just as fast. Turns out, AC Spruce is the slow partner in this process. UPS is also twice as much typically. I dont like being forced into selecting UPS in order to get my products in a timely manner.

While I never got a shipping quote when ordering, Im shocked that you charged me $20 for shipping on a order that weights 2lbs and quart size and cost $6. I put blind trust you would be in the ballpark with other vendors ordering the same size container. While I appreciate the quick shipping, I have learned a valuable lesson. The Xtra 10 bucks wont hurt me. But this is disappointing.Update: i really appreciate Mr Irwin getting back to me and addressing my concerns quickly. It shows that your customer service is important to you. I would definitely do business with you again.I changed my stars to 5. Thank you again.

I maintain a fleet of 40 aircraft and have used Spruce for 20+ years. I used to always be able to rely on them to ship promptly when I placed an order, but that’s no longer the case. Things always seem to be late from them now, and other shops I know of are having the same problem.I used to think it might be COVID related, but I can get parts from their competitors faster because they actually ship the product when I order it rather than have it sit being “processed” for two days.I hope they fix whatever problem is causing these delays and can get back to being more reliable again.************Update**************So, I was contacted by the VP of sales from Aircraft Spruce regarding the most recent issue that prompted me to write the review. He informed me as to why my recent order was having trouble, and with that I must say that I have never had a problem with their customer service! He acknowledged that there were issues and assured me that things are going back to normal. I’m am very glad to hear that as I have relied on them for many years.

Ordered a new POH for an upcoming checkride. They sent the wrong one. It happens. Then they expected me to pay for return shipping. Not good. They did end up having the POH picked up at their expense but it has been 3 weeks since the return and my money is still not refunded. Multiple emails are wasting more of my time. Next step is credit card dispute. I wont be doing business with these guys again.

Aircraft Spruce is one of a few suppliers for aircraft parts and equipment that I will trust in my Bearhawk build so I will be making a lot of purchases from them throughout the next few months and years.While there was a disconnect in when my order would ship due to back orders and this process could be improved upon, working with customer service and knowing I would get a person on the other end of my communication was a huge plus.Even though it took a while, knowing you will be interacting with a person and not a robot should be taken into account when making very expensive internet purchases and thats exactly what Jim and the entire Aircraft Spruce team are trying to perfect. My products came intact and I am ready for the next part of my build!

Nice people, but I have 2 custom orders that they cant seem to fulfill (one is over 8 months in the queue). Ive been told multiple times that they would look into the delay and call me back...but no one has ever called back. Seems they dont want to tell me they cant fulfill the order...which is fine, but customer service needs to own this and a) call the customer back b) admit they cant fulfill and offer some references to someone who can.Aircraft Spruce can handle simple orders just fine, but because of this experience Ill go elsewhere for all my aviation needs. Theres plenty of smaller shops hungry for business and ready to offer the customer service we expect and deserve.

Unfortunately Aircraft Spruce might seem like family owned and ran, but that is not really the case.Unfortunately customer service is zip to non and finding answers to questions is about like talking to a wall.As in my case I have to rely on Aircraft Spruce not because I want to, but because they are the only company that carries a product that i have to manufacture products with.This product is my sole income that pays my bills and keeps the roof over my family.Stocking issues and getting time lines shouldn’t be a problem. This is Home Depot for airplanes. If you need it, they have it or can get it. The guys behind the will call desk are amazing--bring in a broken part, whine about needing a new one, and they will figure out the part number, put it in the system, hit a buzzer and 5 to 10 minutes later, a person pops out of the back room with your new part. Spruce has a very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff.

Unable to ship an order to other address other than billing address?!?! (We fly and planes brake down, right?) Called and customer service representative put me on hold while I was explaining my situation. When I ask for a manager, she gave me 3 different scenarios why he was not able to answer. And I can keep going ... Just unreal! Huge no!

I ordered both a new replacement battery for one of our ACK E-04 ELTs and a new ACK E-04 ELT complete with install kit. I received them in March 2018 and both battery packs had expiration dates of 1 Dec 2022 which means they are into the fourth month of their useful life being expired. It seems that if one pays the premium price for ELT battery packs ($166.75 plus freight) the packs should at least be fresh and not lost months use. I operate a fleet of aircraft loosing about 4 months of useful battery life adds up. Either ACK or their retail outlet, or both are benefiting from slow delivery of fresh battery packs. This is really poor customer service, to say the least.
