Good food, service could have been better. I ordered $200+ of prepared food for a party and asked for some plates, the lady said she could only give me 4 plates. Really for 12 pounds of meat trays, rice and beans. I didnt want to argue over plates so I just bought some. $1.49 worth of paper plates would have made this a 5 star review. Also someone should tell them that smiles are free. The lady is one of my posted pics.

Yesterday I ordered a coffee and it took the 5 minutes to give a plain black coffee. Only after I asked if no one out of all the people there could hand me a coffee. Lady got upset and said they didn’t have people but the place was filled with workers. There was 2 others waiting for there order longer than I had and just weren’t being helped. Today I asked if I had to go to the food line just to get a agua fresca. The lady said yes. The amount of time it took her to answered is how long it takes to serve the water. This place losses out on a lot of business because of there customer service and lack of employees help. I don’t have to drive to get there cuz I’m so close to them but I rather drive to a place they actually are willing to help you and serve you better.

Great store full of the best Hispanic products, from usual produce to various cuts of meats and cheeses.

This market has some awesome tortillas but that is about it. Unfortunately, since the Cardenas family sold the business, produce quality has slipped. The stores are not very clean. Dont get me started of them having two cashiers during their busiest times. Two cashiers with each having more than 6 people in line.

Store is clean, organized and stocked up. However, only one cashier for a big line of customers. Prices too high! but I know, still cheaper than most grocery stores...

Best grilled chicken! My family loves the 16 piece bucket with all the fixings. We buy flour tortillas separately and a couple of Coronas. Dont forget the limes.

Of course this a Latino store, so nearly everything and everyone spoke Spanish. The products were also on Spanish. Goya ruled supreme but other Latino brands were everywhere as well. I loved the fresh pan dulce of every size and kind some with filling, conchas, and more. The prices were more expensive than I thought they should be, but the store was clean, the shelves were full, and I loved the feel of Mexico!

WENT TO CARDENAS AT 8 pm due to the heat turns out line was huge and only two cashiers. I’m with my mom 75 years old and can’t stand in line to much plz prepare your store better better management thanks

P rices gone up, example thd bollillo is 3o cents z piece, they are making about 2/3 of what used to be, kitchen staff is rude and slow. Also the had shrink the size of the tamales, and raise their price.... It was las Sunday, they do not have the same foot traffic.

Ive received exceptional customer service at the registers and throughout the store with the exception of one person in the kitchen staff. I was there on August 30th purchasing food from their kitchen and was helped out by Christian. I was not greeted, he was short answering me and he looked like he did not want to be there. If this is the type of attitude you go in to work with, you should probably find a job that doesnt require customer service. There was another customer that went up to Christian to ask him about a promotion they had that day and his answer was a simple yes with eye rolling. There is nothing acceptable about this type of customer service. Please work on better training your employees.

Today the vegetables arent fresh. Like green onions, and dosent have 🌶 pepper,🍊 and berries.

We bought two big bags of prepared tamale dough that resulted in a big let down. Tamales came out bitter. The dough tasted as if it was made with old, stale maíz. It’s such a loss in reality, we made a whole pot of pork with green salsa, another of red salsa and chicken and the another batch of cheese and jalapeño. Not to mention the work and cooking time. Lost a whole day, over a hundred dollars invested and no tamales. Now what? Call and complain to hear and “I’m sorry, we’ll look into it”. Very unfortunate.

This store is pretty well stocked. I found everything I was looking for. The only downer for me is that they dont let you in without a mask. I have a hard time breathing with a mask. Other stores are more understanding of that.

Very good service at the cashier service and all but whats TRASH is the kitchen. I mean the food is good and all but I was in line and there was like 5 people and I had to wait like half a hour and what makes it worse is that instead of serving the clients they just talk and they literally ignored me UGH THIS PLACE IS TRASH 😡😡😡

Excellent quality of food, but poor customer service. A customer asked a cashier if they had anymore cashiers available to open up a line and her response was “no would you like an application?” My jaw dropped! How can an employee have the audacity to speak like that to a customer and not worry about any repercussions???

Got food at the cocina, line was kinda long because they only had 1 lady working the register. But once it was my turn to be helped the cashier was very kind and helpful. Awsome lady. Oh and the food was good

Unfortunately another bad experience at the kitchen, I asked for a pound of carne asada but although they had enough in the container and then some (it was 3/4 full) they told me we dont sell by pound anymore, we only sell them in tacos. I went there close to 8:00 pm and there were not many customers so like the chicharon botanero, they will most likely be trying to sell those leftovers tomorrow as if they were recently made.

They really need to step up their game their produce is getting worse and worse their meat section always smells bad this was a good market that one point

This is the biggest and most down to earth of the Mexican markets in the area but I still prefer El super has somewhat better prices and quality of product and Superior is also... Superior to this. However all in the area are mostly the same. So dont avoid the place. The bakery here is the best super market bakery in town.

First time in this place. Got carnitas, hot wings and Chile verde. Delicious, everything! Price was good. Gave them a four because they had some eggs with ham that looked bomb but they would sell it to me alacart had to be with beans and rice. Wanted 2 pieces of chicken, they wouldnt do it. Minimum order was 8 pieces. Someone once told me, a sale lost is a sale gone forever. Me quede con las ganas.

It is a good Mexican market, they carry a lot of Mexican products. They have good sales on produce. Although other things can be overpriced. Their prepared food is good. We buy our masa for tamales and tortillas at Cardenas. Their bakery is good. I like their cakes.

Today, I bought a dozen of beef Tamales, and they were bad!!! Horrible taste & texture! The masa/dough was old, dark, hard, and really oily. The filling (beef & red sauce ) was dark and sour. Worst tamales ever!!!! An insult to Mexican Tamales! Very disappointed!🤢🤢🤢

Bought milk on Saturday night, and the milk was sour. it went bad, I think yall need to upgrade a better refrigeration system, it isnt the first time this has happened to me. Ive seen people come back to return or exchange their items because it went bad before their expiration date. i will not be buying anything refrigerated here.

The outside is not very nice, but the inside is clean and the food is high quality. The deli is great a can provide a complete Mexican meal in less than 15 mins. Replacement for my wife she ever leaves me 😋

Worst customer service, the Cardenas in Coachella doesn’t make you wait half an hour in line just to get a drink, which I didn’t even get because this worker was doing unnecessary things while working clearly

The line to pay was so long, that it was by the fresh produce and they would not open another register. So we didnt buy anything, we put what we had down and wint some where else instead. No Customer service everyone was complaining and nothing was done for the customer or the long line

Love this market, when you walk in you can smell the fresh pan dulce being baked in their own bakery. They have a good selection of produce and Mexican items you are used to in a Mercado. I will agree with other reviewers, the wait time in lines can get ridiculous in the busy times.

Girl with red hair at the meat department has a horrible attitude, throws the bag on the counter instead of setting it down like a normal person.

Stopped by around 1:40 and asked for 50 lbs of pork meat to make pozoleAnd asked the older guy next to the employee weighing my meat if he can also give me50lbs of espinazo he let me know that it would be 10 minutes of wait that he needed to clean first and then cut my requested meat I told him “if it’s too much trouble, I’ll rather not take it I only took the first meat I ordered . These employees are so unhuppy working and serving customers 😔good luck

Absolutely hate this place, its always crowded and their is only like 3 lanes open at a time making for long lines up to 15 min, More than once have I had to return food items here due to them being straight up spoiled or way passed due their expiration date. overall the meat quality is garbage. If you can dont buy groceries here its bad.

Lines are horrible. I understand its the holidays but its like that all year long. Usually they only have two registers open and sometimes im lucky and they have three open. I always see the managers hanging out i n the kitchen eating or about to order something to eat.

After calling a another store to verify I went there.. the two ladies didnt want to give me there name .. one of the ladies was PREGNANT and the other lady name was Thelma Im not sure. But I will never return to this location again.. horrible service

Great deli and hot food. Their salsas and guacamole are delicious. CARNITAS WERE TOO SALTY for my taste, but very tender and juicy. Handmade tortillas and chips. Excellent bakery with delicious made to order and pre-made cakes and pan dulces. Fruit juice bar and fruit platters to order.. inexpensive and very good!
