See Yuneecs BBB rating, scdeen shot included in images, before you buy any thing from them. They do not respond to complaints with the BBB or to customers directly. Drones fly away and Yuneec doesnt stand behind their products. They go dark. Here is my real story. All records included in images. Im not an upset customer. This is the real deal.Im not a very picky consumer but this case warrants a full review to warn drone buyers of the poor customer service at Yuneec. I bought my Mantis in December 2018. Receipt included in the images. I used the drone 4 times in the month of May the longest flight being 9 minutes, full flight logs included in the images. The first three flights were fine. The drone worked well and returned as described. On the forth flight, after just 5 minutes, at full battery life (flight log included in images here) the drone disappeared from my screen. It was only 755 meters away, well within the range Yuneec claims the drone can fly, infact thats about half the distance. The weather was perfect, my phone was not low on battery, screen shots included of the screen when the drone was lost. I walked closer to the drone to attempt to reconnect and searched the area in the flight path for several hours ... No luck. At this point I was not discouraged, I figured Id call Yuneec and perhaps they would stand behind their product by either making an effort to help me locate the drone. And if not, theyd send me a replacement. Ive attached email correspondence. I first sent customer service an email as prescribed in the instructions. Their response is included in the image here. Basically they said they couldnt help me and referred me to another agent. This is fine, however Instead of referring the request and creating a ticket for me. They simply replyed and told me to start over with the new agent. This wasted a couple of days and was the beginning of my frustration. Once resubmitted the new request I was asked a few questions then waited a few days for a response. They then requested the flight logs and additional information which I responded to within hours of recieving the request. A few days later they responded claiming the ticket was assigned to someone who will review the logs and respond within 5-7 biz days. After 8 days with no response I started requesting updates. I provided all of my answers and flight logs on May 30th. Its now June 22, I send daily requests for updates. No response from Yuneec, not even an automated response to let me know there might be delays. Although the drone itself seemed fine and decent quality. Im left with a remote and no drone and absolutely no response from Yuneec. I bought this drone to save a few dollars vs the DJI Mavic. I live in Michigan and only have a few months to enjoy the drone. Months lost. Dont waste your money on this unreliable drone with terrible support... Neighbors have DJI Mavic and I really enjoy watching them enjoy it thru the window while I wait for a response from Yuneec.
Brought a new typhoon h and one battery was bad. It was bursting its seams out of the box and sets alarms off when plugged into the charger. Wont even slide into the drone.. I have being trying to get it replaced for months and months. Zero communication, zero response, zero customer service just a bad company.. Hours on hold many days.. Im scared to fly it as there are so many reports of them flying off and never returning. Buy some other brand that cares about their customers... Comes with NO manual and lots of 5 star fafe reviews on here.
Great experience speaking with them, and finding the replacement part I needed, and purchasing the USB flight simulator. However I am greatly disappointed when I called them back for information on my USPS tracking number I was told that my part was on back order when I order it, and they will not be shipping any of my items until the end of the week due to inventory.. If I was told upfront, I wouldnt have been so disappointed.
Trying to contact their customer service phone number results in being on hold for 3+ hours. I never did speak to their service/warranty department. So I repaired my own drone (a simple broken connection for a receiver solder blue wire) yuneec...whoever assembles the mainboard for your drones needs to make sure they are making good connections. What happened to me is the reason why countless other Typhoon q500s have been crashing/losing telemetry!!!

I went to the Repair shop after me and the Tech on the phone come to the conclusion that one of my wires was free and it was not supposed to be. He made me a repair slip and i went to the The Yuneec facility about an hour away from my home. . I signed in and before I could turn around to sit down, John came to the desk and asked If he could help me, He was always smiling and pleasant and you could tell he loved his job. He asked me what was wrong and then I gave him the repair slip. he looked it up. at first he was going to let me drop it off and pick it up another day, then he said well lets see, if its something simple i can fix it right now and you can be flying this weekend. My kind of thinking!! Turns out he soldered the wire back in place gave me another jumper wire free of charge and showed me where to place this wire should the same thing happen in the future. Then we went outside to test it. He fired it up gave me a few hints and taught me some dos and dont when operating it. He also gave me a little quick flight lesson as well. it worked like a charm again. I cant say enough good things about this company. at first When i bought the drone I never heard of them so i was hesitant about purchasing this product. but after the treatment I received from customers service both on the phone and in person, I wont by a drone from any other company, Hands down the best Ive been treated by a company ever/ If your in the market for a drone, and you want amazing customer service, You have to go with Yuneec theres no other choice really!!!
Yunee simply has the best customer service. They are there when you need answers. They are there when you need service and they make you feel like you have a personal friend that happens to be an industry expert
Customer Service is unreachable, I have been hold on the line over 2 hours multiple times, no one picks up the phone. Filed a case request online, over a week no response. A failure caused a crash for the $1.5K drone, broken to pieces that sold as carbon fiber graphite but it was all cheap plastic wrapped with carbon fiber textured sticky wrapper. I cannot claim the warranty due to lack of communication of this company. Big time disappointment!!! Hopefully someone will reach back sooner with a replacement solution.UPDATE: YUNEEC HAS BEEN UNREACHABLE, IT LOOKS LIKE THEY DROPPED THE CUSTOMER SERVICE COMPLETELY FOR US MARKET.TOO MANY FAKE REVIEWS HERE!
My drone had a problem with the camera gimbal. And it also had two missing landing pads, (harsh things happened) that I didnt tell them about. So I sent it in. It got there two days after I shipped it (I was told that they received it by email). It took them an entire week to even LOOK at the drone. Well, when they finally figured out what was wrong with it they said, The part that you need is only around 5$ so Ill just give it to you. And it will only take us about 30 minutes to fix, so labor isnt a problem. (Those werent the EXACT words, but they said the same kind of things) All you need to pay for is to ship it back. No I dont. The paper said you would ship it back. I said. They responded, Oh yah. So I guess the rest is free! We will test it and send it back as soon as it is tested. Testing took a while due to bad weather. When it arrived finally after a month, the camera was fixed and the two missing landing pads? They replaced them! On the receipt, it didnt even mention getting them fixed. I read some reviews about bad customer support, but I dont know where it came from!
I have had my Yuneec skateboard for over 6 years now with no issues. I am so glad I found the right board as some reviews were discouraging. I am over 50 years old and still like to ride the skateboard. Now I can hang with my grandkids and not get out of breath.
Garbage company that doesnt stand behind its product. They know how you should store your batteries, they dont tell you and your stuck holding the bill and the useless paperweight of a drone. You could do better, but youre just making a quick buck off the hot market. Flooding it with flimsy products that you dont provide enough information on. No better than the dji tello incompatibility issues with android phones, getting sold left and right, and then charging a restocking fee, to restock a drone that wont work with some of your phones.Youre just not that impressive as a company, and have supremely disappointed this customer.Fortunately walmart is willing to step into the pile of excrement youve left me dealing with.

I just received a Yuneec Smart Fly 18, its a micro drone. Took the drone out of the box, charged the battery and downloaded the flight control app to my phone. This is by far the easiest app to drone process ever. Using the phones bluetooth connection the app scans for the drone (once powered on) when the Smart drone appears in the apps Bluetooth list, simply click on it and it pairs itself and the drone light goes from flashing to solid. This little drone flys amazing.However, the Smart Fly drone is not my only experience with Yuneec. I have recently been able to play with several typhoon H series UAS platforms. One standard H, one with realsense and one with multiple camera options. One of the coolest options with the typhoon series is the ability to use the wizard controller to fly the airframe, whole another individual uses the ST controller to operate the camera.As a Search and Rescue Ground Team Leader and trainer, I can not wait to get my hands on a Typhoon H with the new ET camera with thermal imaging. With the ability to use thermal imaging for SAR, my team will be able to locate victims in low light or heavy foliage areas.Lastly, I have flown the Yuneec Breeze, this little drone is amazing. Video quality is way more than I expected and the flight controls are very simple to use.Overall, Yuneec has proven themselves a very capable and very top end UAS company. I feel once they open the 12 new repair facilities across the country no one will be able to compete with them.
