What a great find after lunch on Coronado! Located just off the main drag off Orange Ave. Nado Gelato was a great aftermath to a nice lunch. Lots of flavors, we tried a couple and all were more delicious than the previous! A must when visiting Coronado!!

I dont know what the difference is between ice cream and Gelato buy they do. This is the richest, creamiest, most delicious frozen confection you will eat.Dont miss this place like we almost did. Its off Orange so you might not venture past it but you will be glad you did.They are generous with their scoops. That cone is a small. Its two scoops! Then that cone. That cone is a treat on its own.Bonus - their sugar free chocolate is the most decadent chocolate I have ever tasted. I still refuse to believe that its sugar free.

We were in the area and got some gelato while waiting for our table at a restaurant across the street, we had just finished at the San Diego zoo so we were tired and hungry! This gelato place was good. Personally I don’t eat a lot of ice cream so I always get the kids size. I couldn’t even finish mine. I got chocolate because I’m a chocolate lover. But if you see any flavors you might be iffy about, ask to try the sample. The Nutella was really good and it paired well with the banana flavor as well!

The gelato is excellent, and so is the coffee. Macchiato espresso is a great choice, as is the Stracciatella gelato.

The Speciale (salted creme brulee and chocolate chips) was amazing!

The food here is ambrosia!! The gelato was like eating the richest pudding you have ever had. The gelato shake was literally the best desert I think I have ever tasted. I might come back to Coronado just for Nados!

Absolutely adorable cafe and equally incredible gelato! The staff was so welcoming and friendly too! I will for sure be back to try other flavors. They have a lot of vegan gelatos too!

Great service and a perfect cup of gelato. I had the Pistachio and the especiale... salted caramel creme brûlée with chocolate chips. Perfect end to a fun day in the sun on Coronado.

I’m a huge gelato fan so I had to stop by once I saw this place. Hands down, the best that I’ve had in the United States, you need to stop by if you’re reading this. On par with how they make gelato in Italy but you don’t need to travel that far. Make sure you try out the cinnamon and tiramisu flavors!

They were really quick with getting my order and the gelato was delicious and the prices were really manageable

Simply the tastiest coconut and pistachio gelato! My husband tried the black vanilla. It is infused with charcoal...scary, spooky, delicious! Better than Moo Time for something sweet and flavorful! Stop by for a little taste of Italy.

You can get two flavours with the small size gelato— and so I initially went for the raspberry, thinking that would be my favourite, and decided to add the passion fruit— and the passion fruit blew my mind! Delicious! Highly recommend :)

We tried the salted caramel and chocolate flavors. I prefer the salted caramel but my kids loved the chocolate flavor! This was the best salted caramel gelato I have ever had.

Visiting with my family from AZ & was craving something sweet & local. This lil place was just too cute, fun & happy!! We had several different flavors & honestly could not decide which was our favorite. Two Big & Satisfied thumbs up!!

Arrived at a busy weekend, line was long and taking a while (which happens )when we arrived near the counter noticed one staff handling both the serving and charging while the other staff was “trying” to find her size in uniform and “trying” to put chairs in (she failed to accomplish both) . The customers (also the staffs acquaintances) ahead of me paid for their gelato after they were done chatting and it was 10:32 . Staff proceeds to tell the next costumers (10) that she was done at 10:30 and she was done serving .customers were upset so was I since we had been in the store prior to the close time and the door had remained open leading to costumers still walking in I would of understood had she gave a warning prior.she madly served the rest of us .. after customers complained ..all of this could of been avoided with adequate staff training .. the gelato 🍧 is delicious 🤤 the flavors taste like the real thing highly recommed but the fact that I was turned away after waiting for 30 min had me almost miss that delicious experience please please improve the training in the staff they need better guidance

All the gelato that I tasted was phenomenal. Finally settled on coffee and creme brulee. Wifey had the tiramisu and it was fantastic. We will definitely be back. Some of the best gelato Ive had.

Nado Gelato has the best Gelato Ive tasted in the USA. Its only competition is a place my wife and I found in Venice, Italy. The flavors are rich and their Gelato is very creamy and smooth. Nothing more need be said!

Cute little gelato place near downtown Coronado! The staff was very helpful and recommend the Panna cotta + coffee combination which tastes like a latte~ yum! The pear flavor is also very refreshing and unlike anything I’ve ever tried before! Would recommend!

Fantastic creamy gelato and sorbetto! This is our traditional place to visit every time we go to Coronado island. Great, helpful staff. Good, fair prices. A fun spot for a treat!—>TIP: try samples first!—>TIP: the kiwi & coconut are delicious, and lemon sorbetto is a great dairy-free option!

A couple of weeks ago when in Coronado I stopped by Nado for some Gelato. The shop is just off the main street and is clean and cute and they offer several flavors of Gelato. I had the chocolate and the mint which were delicious. I am particular about the quality of Gelato and theirs is great! I would highly recommend Nado if you want a delicious and cool treat while on Coronado.

A cute little gelato shop with some truly excellent gelato. I got the vegan chocolate sorbet which was delightfully decadent and wondrously rich. Would wholeheartedly recommend a trip here for a little self indulgence.

The gelato here is dairy free and it lacks the thick creamy texture of good gelato. I had the coffee gelato and it had good coffee flavor but the texture was airy and lacked that rich creamy flavor of gelato made with cream. For non-dairy gelato Im sure this is very good - just not for me.

This is some standout gelato. If youre in the area, this is a must. Sampled a couple and then decided on the Opera flavor. True to its name, your mouth will be singing the cadenza from start to finish and youll be begging for an encore.

Try the Black vanilla. Yummy

Reality tasty cant see the flavors any more they have a new refrigerator system that makes it taste better. This is my second trip in two days also got a green tea delicious. The special gelato was awesome. Also really nice little area outside to sit. Right off of the main area where everything is line moves really fast. Best in town

Ordered a gallon for my husbands 50th birthday. The order was ready for pick up on time and the gelato was the hit of the party. Delicious!

I don’t know how the gelato tasted, because they didn’t have what I wanted (pistachio). The attendant got a bit of an attitude when she had to throw the order away because my husband forgot to mention he wanted two flavors instead of just one. Then once she gave us the two flavored gelato we ordered (it was for our kids to share) my son (2 yrs old) dropped it upside down on the floor and she didn’t even offer to replace it. My kids had to scrape off the top and eat the gelato anyway.

Their gelato is amazing, a must try for anyone in neighborhood. Agree with other reviews that seating is limited so grab it and take a walk. Very friendly staff.

This little gem takes my wife and I back to Italy. It’s probably one of the most authentic gelato places in San Diego. The menu changes daily and there is always something different to try. I personally like their Tiramisu Gelato and my wife loves the pineapple flavor. They also have many espresso drinks and it just a little bit of a walk to the historic Hotel Del.

The BEST gelato I have ever had!!!!! I have been to others and they just dont compare! Other locations are in Pike Place Seattle Washington and at UTC mall in San Diego.They have Vegan options!!! And they are still the BEST gelato!

Superb little gelato place. Theyre doing careful social distancing, and so worth the effort.Dont fall in love with any particular flavor, they make fresh batches all the time and theres no guarantee that it will be there next time.

The only better place to get Gelato is Italy. This place is incredible. A must stop if youre in the area.

The dark chocolate gelato was rich and fudgy. The creme brulee was every bit as good as the other reviews say. The Opera was a surprise favorite, blending hazelnut, almond, and pistachio. The panna cotta (cake batter) was also very nice. I didnt taste the orange chip, but my wife and daughter raved about it...I might have to go back tomorrow.

The flavors are very hit and miss. The chocolate was good, but thats a hard one to mess up. The black vanilla was awful and the special flavor was not at all as advertised. Stick to Gelato Paradiso on Coronado if you are wanting anything.
