I would like to start off by saying, GREAT COSTUMER SERVICE! The two ladies behind the counter are unbelievably helpful and always make sure my days going well. As for my PO box, both the girls remembered my box and always had packages ready to go. Even days, in which the packages were just delivered, they would help me locate my boxes. Anyone needing a mail box or help with shipping needs, you got a great place on the island.

Ive had a box here for about two months and Im really happy with my experience so far. For a big corporation, the small number of staff members here really make this UPS store feel like a small local post office and its a pleasure to greet them and chitchat whenever I come through to pickup my mail. Highly recommend this spot. Especially if your stationed and living on North Island and want a spot to pickup your mail that doesnt take forever to get on base.

The UPS Store Coronado staff provide exemplary customer service ALWAYS!!! BIG shout out to Ezra and Derrick!!!👍🏻 Ive been renting a mailbox from The UPS Store for years and use it as my mailing address because I make most of my purchase online. I am NEVER home to receive my deliveries/shipments, so I got smart and opened up an account with The UPS Store and rent a mailbox to use as my mailing address due to the nationwide problem with people stealing deliveries of packages and boxes left at your doorstep. This is the perfect solution. All my online orders are delivered to The UPS Store and the staff signs for the deliveries and holds onto them until I can pick them up! They also send me an email notification anytime I receive a delivery, too! This definitely give me the peace of mind that I will receive EVERY item that I have purchased online and wont have to worry about anything getting stolen! Kudos to all the staff at The UPS Store Coronado for your continued excellence and customer service!!!😁🤙🏻

I paid insurance to send a large box of my sons Christmas gifts to NY and the box arrived SMASHED. After 3 months, many phone calls and visits to this UPS store, I was finally told the insurance wouldnt cover this and did I want to get discounts instead. Horrible customer service and completely unethical and untruthful. FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO SHIP.

Some of the slowest, most incompetent customer service Ive ever received. The ladies are good, but Derik is consistently slow as molasses. If there is a line, it doesnt matter. Zero sense of urgency to help customers. I have been here on numerous occasions where I wait in line, and when its finally my turn, he walks into the back without even greeting me or giving me a simple Ill be with you in just a moment and then is gone for Lord knows how long. Most people want to come in, handle their business and get out. Expect to wait here for 20 minutes, even if theres only one person in front of you, and even while youre being helped you will have to listen to him tell you his entire life story. The service is absolutely cringe-worthy. I will happily drive further to a different location to handle my business with a more professional demeanor from the staff. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

As you can see on your own, the customer service is hit or miss. The ladies are always pleasant and helpful. The man who works there seems to be moody, annoyed or just disgruntled unless he knows you personally. I’ve seen him smile and give great service when he knows the customer but is otherwise just rude. He makes one feel like you’re an inconvenience just by your presence. There are many options for shipping. I’d rather deal with positive people.

There has not been one time I have walked into the store in the last couple of years where the staff has been extremely nice and helpful. They always help me with anything and everything and are happy to do so. Derrick is also a great guy who will do everything in his power to make you have a good experience. Highly recommend this UPS

Let me start of by stating, Im a business owner in St. Louis, Mo., and this is NOT a favorable review. In fact quite the opposite. Short story; As most of us understand cash flow can be a Fickle B___. I had requested a favor of one of my customers to send a check via UPS RED LETTER to me, & charge it to my account (Ive been doing business with UPS for over 35 yrs.). Simple, correct?.. Nope! The clerk behind the counter @ this store between the hrs of 10:00 & Noon on 6/20/16 was incapacitated from the neck up, so much so that he was unable to perform the simplest of tasks. My customer who was doing me the favor was being verbally berated & thrown out of the store because this clerk either didnt want to perform their duties or didnt know how. In frustration my customer called me to inform me my request was being refused by a representative of UPS and wanted to know what she should do? ( I was on the other end of the phone at the tail end of this conversation as it took place.) I could hear the clerk yelling, my customer telling the clerk its fine well go another route & her daughter crying as they were being thrown out of the store. I dont believe this story needs anything else. My ONLY hope is this message reaches the owner of the store & this person is immediately relieved of their duties, unless that was the owner... Then I hope UPS Corporate or PR receives wind of this event and pulls your Franchise License or at the very least puts this store under review or probation. I will do what is necessary to see to it this incident does not go unnoticed.

Been to the store twice. Each time Derick has been so helpful. Didnt know how to return stuff and he was so cool and super accommodating towards my needs. I watched him help out a lady that was in front of me. She thought USPS was UPS. He told her that he would make sure her package got sent regardless.

The absolute worst customer service ever! I never write reviews but had to sign up just to let the world know how HORRIBLE Derik is. Very violent and rude behaviour. He seems like hes either having a mental breakdown or is about to.I am a resident of New York and have never had such incompetent and aggressive help from a service worker.This person is so bad he reflects poorly on the entire city of Coronado. So much so, I may consider never returning to this beautiful island.

Price gouging - measured the correct dimensions (outside) and they added an inch around after the fact. It’s two bucks but, that adds up over a slew of customers: dishonest at best. Manager seems not to care about customer service.

I shipped my package A large Buddha from the Coronado UPS Store in March 2019 to out of state, upon arrival it was totally destroyed. I contacted HQ’s and they investigated my damage, pictures, information, etc. the Buddha was packed and shipped by that store, I got insurance on the item. The Franchise in Coronado has avoided my request to pay for the damage. I have spoken with HQ several times, and filed a complaint. Since that store is a Franchise they are responsible. To date they have done NOTHING, small claims it is. Beware Shipper!

Went here for passport photos.Their equipment is cheap and unreliable.Their service is unprofessional, to the point of incompetency.I cant conceive entrusting them with anything important.For a few bucks more, Walgreens provides much better service. I actually got a useable product there.And for mailing anything, Coronado Parcel and Mail on B Street just East of Orange is much more knowledgeable and competent.

Do not get a mailbox there. we had so many issues with packages in such a short time. In 2 months we had 6 issues. lost packages and slips during birthdays and holidays when people would pay extra to have it to us on time. we eventually got our packages but only because we called them every day to look for it. they refused to address the issue or do anything different. Even upon withdrawing our contract they still denied any issues. I gave them 2 stars because the staff was friendly and quick for shipping information and they did give us our money back.

My wife and I needed some documents notarized. The sign at the front of the store said notary alway on duty.Well today was his day off.I mentioned this the the employee on duty and she laughed.if you need something notarized, go to the postal annex a couple of blocks down and on the other side of Orange.The lady was very friendly and competent.Dont waste your time with the UPS Store

If ever a place deserved a negative rating- This is the place! The “assistant manager”- Derek is extremely rude and unprofessional. Told me to leave the store- said he does not deal with “animals” and did not need customers as UPS made over 8 Billion dollars last year- all because I asked to use the tape gun to tape up my package. Told me to take my package to the post office and refused to accept it. Really UPS? I understand this is a franchise operation, however I cannot believe the owner accepts this type of behavior from his employees and that UPS is okay with this store representing them. I will NEVER go there again for any reason. In reading other reviews- seems like I am not the first to point this out and one can hope that they go out of business soon.And as a point of clarification to Derek- UPS United Parcel Service (UPS) posted net income of $807 million in 2012, down 78.8% from a net profit of $3.8 billion in 2011. So customers are very much needed, however I am sure UPS does not need people like you representing them.

They repackaged the boxes I paid them to send out and shipped them through usps. They kept the difference and could not give me a tracking number and it took them a week to be able to tell me the packages were in a different carrier. Packages also arrived a month later than what I paid them for. Also, they are now ass emailing everyone who has done business with them to donate money to a woman who is dying. No clue if it is a scam but in no way can they use company collected emails for personal use to collect money.

This UPS store is a hit or miss depending on the day. The main person handling the front is Mr. Mundt, a man who rarely smiles. If you catch him on a good day (few and far between), he is as friendly as can be. Catch him on a bad day and you will wish you had not walked into the store. I read that he is running for some kind of councilman position for Coronado. My advice to Mr. Mundt, you need to have a lot more of the good days and try to be friendly with each person you meet if you want to be successful in your endeavor. The women who work in the store are usually friendly and helpful. There are items for sale in the store such as greeting cards, pens, tape, etc. in case you forgot things at home. I do wish the store opened at 8 am instead of 8:30am. They dont seem to have a lot of packing items available (packing peanuts, large boxes, etc.). Not like some other UPS stores I have been to. This UPS store could benefit from good management.

Horrific behaviors by the store manager who violently yelled at me and ordered me out of the store. He tried to engage me in his violent behavior but I would not. Im a medium to small frame 64 year old woman and the man who abused me is a heafty man that appears to be in his late thirties or early forties.Im thankful to the lady store clerk who assisted me and the police who who arrived at the scene.Hope the authorities keep vigilant in order to prevent something grave from happening.I Dont want to post my picture because Im scared. The UPS Store could still have my address. Sincerely🙏🏼VM

I seldom write a review, let alone a bad review. But I feel it is a disservice to the Coronado community not to warn them about the service provided by this UPS outlet. The manager servicing this place is totally unqualified to be sending important packages on your behalf. He lacks the professionalism to verify the information he inputs into the computer and he seems uninterested to solve his mistakes. This has been the second time he has sent a package of mine to the wrong place. I thought the first time was just a typo, but this time after I paid 100 dollars he sent my passports to the remote mountains of Durango, Mexico! Keep in mind he said: I guarantee your package will be deliver to its final destination the day after tomorrow. Yes, he is that bad.

That Derik is such a loser!!! He doesn’t know what costumer service is, he should be fired! He used to be a fat ugly loser guy and now that he lost a bunch of weight he act like he’s a big guy and can insult people right in front of everybody. Yes, he treat some customer real nice and he pick some people to insult which is not nice he should treat every customer with courtesy! No wonder they are losing money and customer probably because of him!!! He should be demoted and let the Filipina who works there to be a manager instead of him she knows what costumer service than he is. Dishonest- we accidentally mailed a wrong package (grabbed the wrong box from our house, same size) and realized such within 5 minutes of the transaction but the as luck would have it, the truck already picked it up and left. Our fault entirely. And if we were told Hey sorry your money is gone, that would have been the end of it. However, we were told by the employee that he would contact the truck, get the package pulled off, and that there may be a return fee, BUT we could process a return. We went back and they had our package. we were not reimbursed as we have been led to believe. The same employee lied to our face when we reminded him what he told us on the phone as he changed his story to no I didnt say that. If we were told the truth, or a simple Im sorry, I mispoke, it wouldnt be such a big deal.

Called and asked if they had boxes that had the separators for glasses, plates etc and was told yes so I went in. Derek was on a computer doing Facebook and appeared annoyed that I needed help. I asked him where the boxes were that I specifically had just called about and he said that he had never actually heard of boxes that were especially for glasses, plates etc and said the only thing they had were regular boxes. I asked him why he hadnt just told me that on the phone so that I wouldnt waste my time and he said he didnt think they existed. I said thank you and started to walk out and then he said Thank you? why ? It is obvious I didnt help you. He was right! Really awful customer service.

I have worked as a manager for various UPS Stores for years, but am now in the United States Navy, stationed in Coronado. Take it from me, a past employee, this place is AWFUL. It is a very poorly run business. I understand the difficulties of running a retail shipping business. It is normal for customers to be unhappy with quoted shipping prices, shipping is not necessarily cheap. Things also occasionally get lost during transit, but blaming the store is usually not the right course of action, as the problem usually materializes once the parcel has left the store. However, from previous reviews, it sounds like these guys arent willing to lift a finger to make things right. At my stores, we went out of our way to always remedy a situation, no matter how difficult or unpleasant the customer; this was considered a normal part of the job. If we couldnt reach a solution with UPS or MBE Corporate, we would then try to compensate the customer, at our own expense, to the best of our ability.Although theyre really not always right, happy customers equal respected small businesses. Unfortunately, I have had to use this store a few times during the past couple weeks, due to an extremely busy schedule and it being the only one near by. Taking care of life outside of the military when you are in the military is difficult enough; this store does not help.Unlike every other UPS Store I have worked at, this one will not allow people to have items shipped to their store, unless they are paying mailbox customers, not even for a pickup fee, which is the norm. When I needed a birth certificate overnighted to this store (UPS does not deliver to FPO addresses), they refused, despite the fact that I am a past employee and a military service member conducting time sensitive business. No heart. The employees are also snide and unconcerned with customer satisfaction. And another thing, 20 cents for a black and white copy and $10.00 for a notary is absolutely ridiculous, no matter how upscale of an area the store is in. It would also be appropriate to offer military discounts (especially in this town) and employee discounts, but apparently this is not of interest to them, which, granted, is their right.On a positive note, the store is nice and modern, but unfortunately the poor customer service undermines this aspect. Customer oriented small businesses with service as bad and impersonal as this one are probably not meant to survive. I hate to say it, but if you need shipping services other than USPS, either drive across the bridge to a different UPS Store franchise, or use FedEx. Good luck.
