I have been seeing audiologists for over 60 years now and have worn aids since high school. The hardest part of adapting to any aid is the communication that takes place between the user and the audiologist. I’ve been to many audiologists around the country and haven’t found anyone as knowledgeable as Lucia at Montezuma. She listens well and knows how to convert the difficulties into the correct adjustments. She also realizes that it’s not a one size fits all and knows which aids best serve the individual hearing loss. I was very pleased with her recent expansion to Durango as I wasn’t able to get the proper fittings from those in this area and I’ve had experience with all of them in the last 10+ years. Hearing loss is very complex and not something to trust to the same place you buy your groceries. Whether you’ve tried all the brands or just thinking you may need some help, Montezuma Hearing is the best I’ve found.

Spending the summer in Cortez, had a problem with my Starkey hearing aids. Got me right in and resolved the problem. Great customer service, couldnt provide a more positive customer feedback. Five Star in my book.

If you are in the area, stop in if you have tinnitus or hearing loss. The staff are friendly and respectful. They really helped me out with my hearing issues. I was in a tryout hearing aid for 10days. I had a hearing aid setup to keep the day I brought the demo back.

Staff was very friendly and nice, but it took about 45 minutes after my appointment time for them to see me.. I will know more after my next visit...

My wife and I have been very happy patients for over sixteen years, but I want to show what kind of people run this clinic.One day i was in the waiting room when a young couple came in with a very young child and wanted to have their child checked for hearing problems. Dr, Story took them into her office and attempted to test the baby, but it kept crying and she explained how they needed the child to be asleep to get a good test result. After talking about what to do to get the baby to sleep, the Dr. asked them if they would like to drive around in their car and when she fell asleep to bring her back in and she would come right back to them and perform the tests.After doing this they came in and Dr. Story then started testing the child and had happy parents and I didnt mind waiting until she finished with the young couple. Just shows her dedication and empathy. That couple didnt have to schedule another day to have their child tested..Larrye Weaver

Montezuma Hearing has excellent service and they schedule follow-ups for regular cleanings, and tune-ups to make the aid work at peak performance.
