Adorable shop and awesome location close to the river and the shopping of downtown Corvallis. However, the staff werent very friendly when I went in this morning. Lack of smiles/interaction put a damper on the experience. The other Tried and True location in South Corvallis has much more friendly and engaging staff.Edit: Just returned today to get some work done and had an even more unpleasant interaction with the staff. They just arent friendly, borderline rude, dont think Ill be coming back.
Fantastic flight contrasting standard process vs natural process beans. I usually favor the latter, which held here. However, both shots were equally complex and delicious both in aroma and flavor. The staff was helpful with tasting notes and a soda water refill.
The team at Tried & True are being mindful of health guidance without compromising the quality of the coffee and service. Order inside and they’ll bring it to you outside where two tables are available for seating. Seasonal menu options are enticing, so much that I opted for trying gingerbread syrup in a latte. Flavor was subtle and satisfying without being overly sweet. We also got the vanilla latte with oat milk and enjoyed the flavor and the consistency. Tried and True is located near the river walk, making it a gods stop while spending time in Corvallis or traveling through from Cascades to Coast.
I am literally sipping on the BEST chai latte that I have ever had! Its piping hot (perfect for our chilly mornings) and is so full of spicy goodness. Its SO good yall, definitely made my day :)
I have ordered many cappuccinos over the years, but I have to say, the one I just had here may have been the best I have ever had. It was excellent.
I come here quite often for a simple expresso. Gotta hand it to most of the baristas, very good drinks, with care put into each one.
Just yes.Sleepy Sunday morning, grabbing a coffee and ginger scone to fuel a day’s mountain biking adventure. Exceptionally good vibes from the staff, Cocteau Twins streaming…. The kind of place you don’t even have to ask if they have oat milk.
The best latte and ginger scone ever. This will be my go to latte fix when I come up for a visit. If I could I would give 10 stars.
Good coffee, terrible service. The girl in all denim was clearly either having a terrible day and taking it out on customers, including myself. Shame considering they make decent espresso. Ill give them another chance, but with so many places to get coffee, its nice to not be treated like an inconvenience.
Delicious coffee, carefully prepared by a friendly and knowledgeable staff in a pleasant setting. I highly recommend!
Cappuccino made with love! Went down very well with one of their specialty cookies. I would have liked a more extensive pastry selection, but they clearly care about their coffee!
This is the fancy coffee shop in Corvallis. Brews have that characteristic tangy flavor that is in the best coffee roasts. Not bitter at all. Good stuff.
Fantastic little coffee shop with outdoor bench seating and pastries.
I brought an out of town guest here today, having never been here myself. I was so impressed with the atmosphere, the decor, the ambiance, and especially the staff. They were friendly, efficient, and in constant motion. We stayed for about 30 minutes and the three people working has a methodic rhythm that kept the space clean, the customers happy, and the drinks beautiful.
Very good coffee! I was impressed
High quality in every way; coffee, character, cool-factor. The owners care deeply about their community and staff and they have shown true grit in the midst of a crazy 2020. No better place in town!
Stopped in with my mom while traveling through Corvallis and what a great find. Cute little shop tucked on a side street. Nice outside seating, much needed for these times. Quick service, friendly staff, and most importantly good coffee!Bottom line - Will be back.
Coolest spot in town. Coffee is perf for any weather. Also perfect for savoring but tasty enough to chug. Enjoy it with friends or let it help you enjoy some alone time. I accidentally spilled my delicious T&T coffee on my jeans the other day, now my jeans are worth more than when I bought them.
Good mocha and pumpkin cake
Everytime I come visit family, I always look forward to a daily trip here. Some of the best cold brew in Corvallis.
I went today at 4:54 and was rejected service because they decided to close the machine early. Coffee is awesome, taste is impeccable and that’s the only reason I bother to bare the absolutely horrible service on both their locations. Baristas are rude, preppy and and full of themselves. She wanted to go home early because it was snowing but completely overlooked the fact that I drove there in a snow storm also and yet got there 5 mins before closing
Really loved the coffee and interior decor. The girl Morgan with the cool hair was really nice and professional. Wish I could go back. Pity flights are grounded. I would legit fly from Ireland back to this store just for the experience again. Keep it up guys.
I tried them out and let say it’s true! Expertly crafted drinks and friendly service make this one the best spots in Corvallis!
Wonderful coffee and service - recommended!
Tiny spot. Pleasant service, minimal seating. Donut was delicious. My cortado was served as expected, in true Argentinian style, but I found the brew bitter. Would definitely come back but maybe try a different coffee preparation to see if its just a one off or perhaps Im not a fan of their coffee suppliers roasting style.
Good specialty coffee at a reasonable price. Pastries are great, staff are great.
The coffee is always great and the goodie selection, though limited, is top notch. (Try the coffee cake muffins.) But the staff really go out of their way to be helpful and kind. Really worth finding the parking spot or even better, riding your bike downtown.
Very nice coffee and friendly service. BUT My complaint? I asked for a pound of coffee and the package stated 12 oz. I called about the discrepancy and they stated we only sell in 12 oz packages. So their per pound of coffee is really not a pound!! They do not tell that is their policy up front. I wont be back.
I love this place. Its super cute and they have good drinks. I would sometimes study here, although it is small and theres not much seating. The workers are always nice too.
Excellent place with very tasty coffee & mochas!
Really want to love this coffee shop but for us early morning risers and workers, 7 am is not early enough to open!! I have been told multiple times that if the sign is out, we are open, even if it is a bit before seven. I have gone in twice where I was told we arent open yet despite all the signs being out. Please open earlier!!
Great little coffee shop downtown Corvallis.
Great single origin espresso, served with seltzer water to cleanse the pallate. The espresso was a perfect mix between sweet and bitter, and is my favorite place to go within town. My only gripe is the lack of bike parking out front on the sidewalk, but thats not under their control.
I love this coffee shop! The coffee is delicious and the aesthetic is so cute! Really, really friendly service as well.
A nice addition to South Corvallis. The coffee is good, the people are great, and the atmosphere welcoming. My only wish is for more food options than (mostly) pastries, maybe salads or sandwiches.
Excellent coffee. Great atmosphere. Good prices.
Quick stop in for afternoon pick-up of a hand crafted espresso. Wish this place had a bit more space, but it is nice to have something a little different than the big chains to pop in and go
Tasty drip coffee and pleasant, friendly staff during my visit on a recent Friday morning. Theres not a lot of room to lounge but their coffee was fantastic, they had plenty of creamer, and gave me a great cup of icewater. Looking forward to go back!!
Great service, outdoor dining available, and if you dont see what you want on the menu just ask for it anyway.
Such an aesthetically pleasing and cute coffee shop. I love the flavors of the coffee and their cupcakes are really good to!! Its not too sweet, its balanced well. Only reason for a 4 not a 5 star review is just that the location is tiny.
Legit espresso & food pastries
Best coffee in Corvallis
I found the place the coffee girl from TIKTOK works lol 😂, coffee was very good.
Never visited but I just know that morgan is the best employee this place could havegreat job 💙
Coffee was amazing and i’ve never recieved such good service!! recommend for all ages 10/10
This coffee shop is amazing! The coffee is top notch and the baristas.. just crazy friendly. Space, drinks and customer service all scream: attention to detail -- just superb.
My barista, Morgan did AMAZING late art :) also I love her tiktoks!
I go pretty regularly to both locations. Downtowns great, not much seating but theyre quick and we usually grab it to go walk the riverfront and find a seat there. Plenty of seating, some events, and beer at the Southtown location in addition to the same incredible coffee. I think Bespoke is the owners roasting company, too. Best coffee in town is to be had at either of the T&T cafés!
One of the cutest spots in Corvallis. Such a relaxing and chill atmosphere. Tried and True has a smaller selection of drinks, however, theyre perfected.
Best coffee in town - you wont be disappointed. Even the coffee snobs at my work who roast their own and are super picky about the coffee they drink will come here! Service is great and friendly, and the atmosphere is very charming. Can be a bit crowded at times due to their small location, but this is only a testament to the great quality of espresso, coffee and teas they offer! It is always worth the wait.
One of the best cappuccinos Ive ever had. Perfectly balanced. No bitterness. Perfect milk/foam ratio and consistency. Nice staff and cool tiny place. The donuts were also great.
This place does an espresso the right way. Ive been waiting for that in this part of Oregon for a long time. Their cappuccino and cold brew options are as good as any Ive ever had, as well. The friendliness of the staff makes going here a relaxing experience, and their helpful suggestions while ordering have helped me get just the drink I wanted.
Never been, but one Employee named, Morgan, will treat you with respect and is amazing!!!
I love everything about this place, the coffee is great, the environment is so lovely, and the baristas are some of the sweetest people I know
Tried and True has been my favorite coffee shop for years now. They always give me a perfect cup of coffee, have tasty beans, friendly staff, and a clean fresh atmosphere. It’s always worth a stopping at either location.
I was disappointed with price of espresso and its taste. It costs $3 which is too much for regular espresso and it was very sour, so I couldnt finish it. Also, the pastry choice is very weak.
Delicious coffee, friendly staff, and a visionary owner who is active in the community. If you want a Portland coffee experience in small town Corvallis, this is the place for you! I’m always admiring their cute shop and their effort to be a positive light in people’s lives.
A small coffee shop but just the right size in my opinion. Complete with outdoor seating, the coffee is a bit pricey and you have to pay a bit extra if you want your drink iced, but its a nice, clean, convenient coffee shop.
Was recommended by a friend to stop in for great coffee and i wasnt disappointed. In fact I stopped in four more times in the two days I was there. The roast was smooth and bold with complex flavors. Their pastries were great too. I took some beans home with me.
Awesome coffee and pastries from good local bakeries. Also impressed at the sweetness of the straight espresso shots (doppio anyone?). Lattes are always good here as well.
Pumpkin spice latte all year long! Great drop coffee to.
This is, first and foremost, the most quality coffee Ive been able to find in town. It is rich and dark, but doesnt taste burnt. The Ecuadorian Drinking Chocolate is absurdly tasty as well. The staff are good conversationalists and service is solid. Hooray!
Always great coffee, wonderful service, and delicious scones!
Very cool vibe for a coffee shop. Exactly the sort of place that encourages social hang out as well as business meetings
Fast service and it feels home-y. It was recommended to me by a friend and I like it more than Dutch Bros or Starbucks. Its small, but if you have a few minutes in your day, just sit and enjoy something as simple at coffee (tea) and relaxing music.
Have just visited once, but the espresso I enjoyed was wonderful. Nicely sweet, syrupy and tangy.
Great vanilla latte
This is the best coffee Ive ever had!
My girlfriend and I are regulars here. The coffee is consistently great. The service is wonderful. The latte art is beautiful and the donuts are tasty and just what I like on the rare occasion that I get them.
Very good coffee. Very nice set up inside. They were very busy when I was there but organized in getting drinks out pretty fast. I will be coming back when I am in Corvallis again.
The coffee is phenomenal, as is the service and decor. Its like a little bit of Portland here in Corvallis. Its a small shop, so it can get crowded, but they cant expand because its a historical building. Try their mocha and caramel latte, both are fantastic.
Very humid and moist in here, but dont let that scare you away from the best Cortado Ive found so far in Oregon. Delicious blend and balance.
I would consider this the best coffee shop in the Corvallis and Albany area. Its expensive for it but its worth treating yourself once in a while. The decor and woodwork inside the shop across the highway is beautiful as well. Either shop is worth stopping by!
Always great coffee and friendly staff!
Amazing service, and the coffee is always delicious!!! I love the atmosphere as well, and the staff is super friendly. 10/10 best coffee place in Corvallis.
This has continued to be a favorite location for grabbing a great coffee and catching up with friends. The owners are great at finding quality baristas and feature many local foods. They have just recently started serving great sandwiches made in house. I highly recommend either of their two locations.
Terrible parking arrangement, hardly ever any available seating, and steep prices. Music is sometimes too loud. But overall, nice ambiance and a great spot for studying if you can actually get a spot.
Best espresso in Corvallis. They always have a single origin coffee and their blend, both of which they roast in house at their south location. Great staff, and their barristas know how to make the most of their coffee. Their donuts are great too. Highly recommended.
Hey I know you from tík tok
Best coffee in Corvallis.. We have been waiting since we moved to town for someone to provide this level of coffee and now it is here. I got an americano that was as good as anything I have ever had. if you have not been here there yet, check them out. cute atmosphere, great service. Will make it my main coffee go to when i am downtown.
Good coffee. A tad one the spendy side but certainly a worthy product.
Simply the best espresso in town. Theres not a lot of table space, so its not good for coffee shop studying/working.
Cute and good, a bit too much cinnamon on my chai though
The best cup of coffee in Corvallis. Period. The only truly good traditional macchiato or cubano in Corvallis. Period.
This might be the top coffee spot in the Willamette Valley! Top notch baristamanship and the coffee itself is wonderful. One of those small minimalist coffee shops you just cant help but wander into when sauntering in downtown Corvallis.
Nice quiet place to get some work done on a Sunday afternoon. Staff is always friendly and knows their coffee very well. With consistently well poured shots and excellent latte art with all milk types they have best cortado Ive have in Corvallis. The chai is excellent as well though not brewed in house. The food menu is slim pickings but the baguettes go well well with their coffee despite being a bit tough to chew and the pastries are decent as well. If you are interested in high quality espresso it is must.
They have the best chai latte in town. Its a nice little shop to sit in and spend a while. Ive been in Corvallis only a couple of months but this is already a favorite.
Nice cozy little coffee shop with really Yummy Pastries and donuts. The Barista was super friendly and the prices were really good. Close to the river in downtown so nice place to get a coffee when youre exploring the area.
Best coffee in Corvallis hands down. The downtown location is so convenient and the Southtown location has great seating and atmosphere.
I like the coffee and the people very much. I also like the decor. It is a tiny shop similar to one you might find in downtown Melbourne Australia. What I dont like is the fact that customers come in set up their laptops and use that limited space for hours. So I rarely go here anymore as I like to sit down and have my coffee not get it to go.
