There is just something so disappointing about seeing a groom in an ill-fitting suit on their wedding day. Thankfully to Grooms Grotto I am seeing that less and less at the weddings I photograph and attend, thank goodness!This is such a great company to work with, and I can speak from my experience as a fellow wedding industry vendor and a client. I purchased a suit for my husband as a gift, and the entire customization process was so easy, fun, and the 3D scanner was pretty cool. I had no idea there was so many different options but they walked us through everything, and the suit came out amazing!!I adore Grooms Grotto, recommend them to all my couples, and look forward to going back and getting more suits for my husband. Cannot recommend them enough!!

The grooms grotto is the only place I will go to get my suites from now on. My brother in law told me about this place and when I herd custom suites, I was hooked. I took all my groomsmen here for my wedding. There isnt much to say when you get to hangout while you get measured and have some complimentary beers.This place is one of a kind. I picked the material I wanted, custom inner jacket, and embroidery. My suite was 100% me from start to finish. It also helps when James helps you out the whole way. The pricing is great to. Most basic suites, still custom, start at about 350.00. The only alteration needed for me was to lengthen the pants by a quarter inch.All in all, skip Macys and suite broker. Go get a custom and perfectly tailored suite for the same prices here.

This place is the best. top tier customer service and quality product. dont use other place like Black Tux, just go to these guys and not worry about a thing

Hands-down, amazing experience. From Beginning to end, this is how a custom suit experience should be. James and Matt paid very close attention to what I wanted when it came to my custom suits and I was able to customize every detail down to even the lining. They were always quick to respond to any questions that I had either via phone call or email. I would definitely recommend using the Grotto to any of my friends or family or business partners.

A buddy of mine had suits made for his wedding party at The Groom’s Grotto. I was luckily in said wedding party.The salient points: super cool vibe, great music and beverages, a myriad of fashion and fabric choices, superior customer service.Overall, an incredible experience that is a fantastic value. For the cost of a median priced, off the rack suit, you get something made custom for you with all the bespoke touches inherent in a $3000.00 tailor made suit.

This review is long over due! My husband and I were blown away by the quality, service and overall experience of Grooms Grotto. At our initial consultation we were offered champagne to celebrate the occasion and then we dove into the details of our wedding. Grooms Grotto asked great questions which helped us narrow down the options for my husband and his groomsman. We left the consultation feeling excited and confident that we just designed the perfect suits to match the vision of our big day. My husband later came back with his groomsman and raved about the group fitting experience. About 4 weeks later the suits were ready and fit great! My husband and a couple others did need some minor alterations but Grooms Grotto had them done within a week and didn’t charge us for them. I highly recommend Grooms Grotto for anyone looking for a suit. I am already planning on going back and getting my husband some more suits for work. Ive gotten a few custom suits from them over the years, so they dont just do wedding parties. The suits are great quality and they have a massive selection. You cant beat the pricing, experience, customer service, and quality. I recommend this place to all my friends and coworkers.

Very good quality suits. Their custom fitting work is immaculate. I had some problems with the length of the pants and ran into a couple issues with the tailoring, but they did all they could to correct it. The owner personally hand delivered my tux to my home just in time- extremely dedicated to serving their customers and making sure that you have a great experience. I would recommend Grooms Grotto to anyone looking for a custom suit or tux.

I can’t say enough positive things about Grooms Grotto! SUCH a great concept! Your wedding day really is just as much about the groom looking and feeling as great as the bride. We had a specific look we were going for with the suits and couldn’t find good options off the rack anywhere. Thank goodness for the Grotto! My husband and I had a consultation where we got to design every last piece of the wedding suits. Then my husband and groomsmen came back to get fitted and make a “guys night” out of it. Valerie and Matt were super helpful in making sure the fits were perfect. The experience here is just so unique. They even helped the guys with shirts, ties, and pocket squares to complete the look we wanted. Couldn’t be happier!! Oh and the pricing is surprisingly low considering they are all custom suits :)

I don’t know how to put this, but these guys are kind of a big deal. People know them. Grooms Grotto makes you look good, I mean real good. I dare you to go to Men’s Warehouse. You’ll look like your Uncle Fred and smell like him too

The Grotto was the ultimate experience. I showed up with my best buddies and the first thing I noticed was the ambiance, which was amazing. Matt and his team were so professional. They give you the million dollar treatment, scan, fitting for much less than a custom suit anywhere else. My suit came in, fit like a glove and we made amazing memories at my buddies wedding looking dapper. Highly recommended!

Grooms Grotto helped me feel amazing for my wedding. My suit was fire. My wife loved all the details that I was able to include in my suit to honor her love. Valerie & Matt provided an amazing experience in my fittings. To get a bespoke suit + shirt for under $650 that is custom fitted is a steal. What a great concept! I have now experienced their great service and product in three wedding parties and am using Grooms Grotto for my own wedding. The suits are well made and the whole team has been amazing. Cant say enough thanks for making our day that much better!

I recently went to a wedding and the groom and groomsmen were in custom suits. After learning where they had them made I quickly set up my appointment at Grooms Grotto.As soon as you walk through the door you feel like a rock star. We discussed what I wanted in my suits from the pattern to the stitching. Valerie put together great ideas.The measuring for the suits was a breeze and could not have been more accurate. Matt was there for the fitting and neither suit needed alterations. I can’t recommend these guys enough.

Grooms Grotto was the best suit experience I could have had for my wedding! It was an awesome time with my friends to hang out admist all the craziness of the wedding. And my suit turned out amazing. Post my wedding I have ordered several more suits that I wear for business now, and it is super easy because he already has my exact custom measurements. I am a customer for life!

Just finished with my consolation for my wedding tuxe and my experience was far better than any expectations I could have had will be returning for sure in the future

This place is awesome!Suits have always been an absolute struggle for me. I’m a former D-1 athlete and no one carries jackets or pants that fit my build. I’ve always been forced to compromise on a wide torso, a short sleeve length, or constricting chest/ shoulders. The pants are the same story; I can either have an oversized waist or feel like I’m wearing a leotard on my quads. The suits I want or need are almost never in stock at my size either, so I need to compromise on a style as well. After I pick the suit, I typically wind up spending more money on tailoring everything down than I spent on the suit itself. Most tailors will flat out refuse to work on the pants if I bought them together with the jacket because the size drop is way too drastic, so I’ve frequently had to spend extra on separate suit pieces.This place was a one stop shop to solve every single one of my perennial suit problems. The idea of taking all the measurements manually and also having a 3-D scan of my body for cross reference was brilliant. I got to pick the exact color I wanted, the exact liner, the exact style, and even had a custom engraving inside the jacket! They even made me a custom dress shirt in the exact style and dimension I wanted.I’ve never had a suit fit this well before. I didn’t need to take it from their shop and bring it to a tailor; it was ready to wear as soon as I picked it up. The short lead time for fabrication and incredible price made it even better. The whole experience was awesome. Will definitely be getting more suits from here in the future.I just wish they had more hours available. :(

I don’t even know where to start but a big THANK YOU seems right. I was searching for a very particular tuxedo for my wedding. After exploring the rental option I eventually came to the conclusion that I had to go the custom route to get all the little details I wanted to feel confident, comfortable, and sexy on my big day. It was extremely easy to schedule an initial consultation at times that were convienient with my work schedule. I was fortunate enough to work with Valerie the Floor Manager. She is very knowledgeable, professional, and accommodating. My now wife and I had a private consultation with Valerie where we brought in some design inspiration and she knew exactly how to make it happen. No detail was overlooked. This is TRULY a custom experience. Details I had never even previously thought of we explored. Valerie had a great balance of giving me the freedom to design exactly what I wanted but also expressed her professional opinion and showcased all the options available to me.A few weeks later I got to pick up my tux and make sure it fit exactly how I needed it to. Trimmed and well fitting but also enough room to get low on the dance floor. I loved the fit so much I ordered another suit for my rehearsal dinner. I just felt so handsome and confident in the tuxedo.Wedding went extremely well and I am still receiving compliments from my guests. Only mistake I made was not getting my groomsmen custom suits as well.Grooms Grotto, I will be back for more stylish, well fitting suits and top tier customer service. This experience made me feel very special in a process where the bride often overshadows the groom. My beautiful wife cannot stop looking at photos and commenting how amazing I looked on our big day.

Unhappy Oddly Dressed Father-of-the-BrideIn my opinion the Groom’s Grotto in Costa Mesa receives two stars for the extremely poor customer service and clear lack of consideration or willingness to correct a bad situation. One caused by their error in not ordering a matching shirt for me, the father-of-the-bride at the time they placed to order for the entire wedding group. And their unwillingness to correct the situation by rush ordering one when the suits came in.But that really is only a part of the rating. As the poor customer service started with the initial visit for the fitting process. I did not really feel welcomed fly Valerie rom the moment I walked in. Maybe it was a bad day for them. Perhaps because I wasn’t part of the group fitting. Well they never sent me an invitation to the group fitting so sorry to inconvenience you with a separate fitting. Next time make sure you include the full wedding party - especially the person shelling out the big bucks for the wedding. And it would be much easier to arrange a fitting if they had normal business hours.The fitting process went well and their attention to detail was very good. I didn’t find Valerie’s personality, comments, or suggestions very friendly and my wife pulled me aside more than once to say she also felt they were being a bit rude. I was never given an opportunity to see the actual suit color and fabric. When it came time to selecting the lining Valerie basically tossed the book on the table and walked off.When she returned she tried very hard to sell me a shirt. Excuse me - those were being ordered by the groom for the entire party and she already knew that. Apparently since I wouldn’t order my own shirt they dropped my shirt order from the group’s order.When it came time for the suit fitting I was pleasantly greeted by Ray. He brought out the suit, which looked great and fit extremely well. Their initial measurement process and attention to detail showed in the final product.However when I asked for my shirt. The one that matches the entire wedding party, there wasn’t one. Oh it did not make the order. And now it is too late to order one. Valerie did not seem to care and was unwilling to make a rush order to rectify the situation.Sorry - I have to disagree with it being too late. A rush order from Hong Kong or China can be received in three to four days. I should know we do this in my business whenever we have an upset customer and want to make things right with them.The Groom’s Grotto doesn’t seem to care.So this is one Father-of-the-Bride who will be standing out from the wedding group wearing a unique shirt.I am not happy!
