I was assisting my parents with their purchase of granite countertops when they found a stone they really liked at Romancing the Stone. Transactions went fine up until delivery day. The two biggest problems were the fact that they cut the Stone inside and left a terrible mess everywhere (no excuse not to cut it outside-it was a nice day) then they cut the Stone too short. I do not recommend Romancing the Stone.

This company is the most unprofessional company we have ever dealt with. The project was a disaster from the beginning. Had to help the guy with the template. On installation, one employee had his pants so low his underwear was showing…very unprofessional. Upon installation, the countertop was cut too short and they cut the opening for the sink on site….in the bathroom. Had white granite dust everywhere and down the hall. Did not bother to clean up anything when they were finished. Next day we went back to the showroom and complained. We were told they would refund x mount of $ for a clean up. They did fix the short counter after some negotiation. However we still have not seen any of that refund. Stay away, far away from this business. They are not honest to their customers and do not care if their customers are happy or not. They do not even deserve the one star, had to do at least one star

I would like to Thank Heidi and Marie for an amazing experience at Romancing the Stone! Buying a new home can be very stressful and they were so very nice and attentive to my wants, needs and goals of my new home! They were always there for me as I was probably “high maintenance”! The selection of the stone was fantastic. I highly recommend Romancing the Stone to everyone and would 100% go there again! Keep up the great work and service that you and your staff deliver!! Heidi and Marie and thank you so much for all that you did!!

Had my granite delivered and the men installing it broke it and wanted to glue it back on. I said absolutely not, I want a different piece. Then went outside to supposedly get the other piece for the other side and never came back in just took off and told the manager that we yelled at them which is a lie. I told them I wanted a refund and they told me they would credit back my credit card now it’s been 2 weeks and still nothing!!!

My husband and I have had many great experiences with Romancing the Stone. The professionalism of the staff is amazing. The installation was awesome with no mess! I have recommended them numerous times!

I just finished building a home in Reynolds Farms and unfortunately it was a terrible experience working with Marie. After just 30 minutes in the store it was clear she only wanted to sell me about four countertops. All the others I chose she either said werent available or quoted me an upgrade that was thousands higher. Marie made unkind comments like your house isnt nice enough for that level of quartz. When I asked for a written estimate she scribbled on the back of a piece of paper and said This is good enough until you make up your mind. Again, I had been onsite less than an hour. I looked at the floor plans and could see she had the wrong plans-- mine had two sinks in the main bath. Her plans had one. I told her and she argued and said Im the professional; I work directly with the builder. I ended up calling the builder who was able to set it straight-- and then I got balanced billed for Maries mistake. This business might have great stone, but their service was so poor that I cant recommend them.

This is the worst place to do business with. We went there I am a contractor and had my measurements as I wanted an accurate quote. The quote we got was about 1105. So I told her I wanted to pay it in full we went with a cheap granite. Hours later after we left I noticed a second charge for 540. When I called she said she made a mistake adding it up. Three days later they come out to measure and sent me a new invoice for 831. I called right away told them to hold off on everything as this was crazy. She then stated she double charged me the 540. She would send over a new quote, that quote now stated I owed 288.00 so I called back said how can this be I measured and it should have been actually less. She then claimed she would need to look it up. She called me back and said she made a math mistake and she took my 7’ 2” as 72”. So she adjusted the price. This is all about getting the customer to put a deposit of at least 50% down. So I canceled my order needless to say. That was Tuesday they have my 1640 and I can’t get that money back they are refusing to let me speak to the owner and they keep saying he is the only one who can refund the money. So as of tonight I did not receive a call or email from them showing they have processed the full refund so I had to dispute the charge with the bank and I am filing a small claims action tonight online for not only the total they charged but for the delay this is now costing me since I can not order new counters without that money returned. I will be asking for the maximum of 2,500. Plus cost. Do not do business with them they will find anyway they can to increase the cost and since they already have 50% down they will not give it back easy. Be very careful here.

RUN.We were directed to RTS by our builder and unfortunately we shouldve chosen somewhere else to select our countertops from. Good selection of quartz marble and granite but the customer service is a DISASTER.While visiting I mentioned to our associate that we had a vessel sink in our first floor bath, this was written up incorrectly on our invoice and ordered incorrectly (my husband and I took complete ownership of not dissecting the order details because we trusted RTS to order the correct products for us.) NOT TRUE.We ended up with the wrong sink installed. We also never got called to come and select our slab template as originally requested. Communication with this company was poor overall and when my husband and realtor showed up in person to discuss this with the GM Marie, she was completely cold and had no intention of fixing her business mistake. We were offered a discount but still ended up paying to fix the mistake RTS made - UNACCEPTABLE. In my book, this is bad business.We even asked to speak to the owner as suggested by our builder and they conveniently were not available for WEEKS from the date we noticed the problem, we could not wait in an effort to not delay our home from being finished.This company is also not BBB accredited so that should speak for itself.Do yourself a favor and save yourself a headache and your money and go to a business that has pride in its service and puts customer satisfaction first - it is NOT Romancing the Stone.

I never write reviews but in this case I’m so disappointed in the post-sale service from Romancing the Stone that I had to post to let everyone know to avoid this company for Granite counter tops. Our contractor who was remodeling our kitchen mentioned Romancing the Stone as a possible company to order our counter tops through. It was obvious he knew one of the managers and because I believe in supporting our Coventry Based companies, we went Romancing the Stone. Pre-sale they were a pleasure to work with and the installation team was prompt and professional.Our counter has been in for 8 months and we have seen the seem lift and become a hazard as the edge is extremely sharp. We contacted Romancing the Stone and explained the issue. They were rude on the phone and it was clear they didn’t want to help us unless we paid them $197 just to come out an look at it. We sent them pictures and still they wanted $197 for a trip charge, I’m like you are not even 10 minutes away, they didn’t want to hear it.So much for supporting a local company, I guess customer satisfaction is a remote concept for them. Don’t waste your time with this company, save your money and go with cheaper more customer focused companies.

Just had my master bath and kids bath redone. I love the options they had available as soon as you drive into there showroom. The receptionist greeted me right away and was so happy to get a sales person to help me. The whole process was easy. from picking out the right stone, to template and installation took about 3 weeks. way faster than I expected. and everything looks so beautiful. i Cant wait til my kitchen remodel begins. I will be coming back, and would defiantly recommend this company to everyone i know.

Be careful. They will not honor their quotes. They will raise their prices once they have your deposit money and the stone and you are ready for install. They want paid in full before they will cut the stone. Dont do it. You may never see it. They kept our deposit and returned the stone when we would not agree to a higher price days before installing. They owe us $12,000 back.

I love my counter tops from romancing the stone. They came out so beautiful. I’ve been getting compliments since they were installed. Great quality of stone. Fast and easy process. Definitely going to be going back to finish the rest of my remodel.

I love Romancing the Stone. Staff made the process so easy. From the friendly smile I got from jennifer when I walked in the door. To the beautiful finished product I got when Oscar was done installing! They do it all.

This was my 2nd time going back and i just love the staff. the receptionist Jennifer is so pleasant and always has a smile on her face, and i love how they let you work with the same sales person if your a returning customer.

We purchased granite from Romancing the Stone for three bathroom countertops, plus a shower threshold and ledge. Marie listened carefully to what we needed and was incredibly helpful as we made our selections. Prices were competitive, and better than quartz quotes from our Kitchen & Bath shop. Romancing the Stone crews showed up for measurement and for installation when promised. The installation crew measured carefully and put the countertops in place perfectly. (We had only one small issue in that the shower threshold was not properly angled into the shower. Our glass guy noticed and fixed it before it set.) Overall, the results are truly fabulous!

I cannot give this establishment a good review. The salesman did a good job selling, but there was never any follow up. The selection of their stone is good. The biggest problem was the scheduling and communication. I later found out from the tile man that the back splash was not installed properly, and that he had to work around it. In hind sight Im not sure I would recommend them.

They were excellent! Took the time and patience to explain the difference between all the different counter options as well as PROs and CONs of both natural stone counters and Quartz. Provided me with innumerable options to select from and installed the counters perfectly and on time. They came out amazing.

I would give them zero stars if I could. The receptionist is rude and gives out incorrect info. Nothing is timely or organized. To avoid a major headache, I suggest using any other granite supplier!Update: The owner called me about my review. Mind you, he didn’t bother reaching out after the problem first occurred... only after he saw the review. He was defensive, aggressive and wildly unprofessional. Additionally, Romancing the Stone has since come in and installed our granite and sinks; we are stuck working with them because that who our builder uses unfortunately. All the granite was poorly installed. They put a granite backsplash in the kitchen where there wasn’t supposed to be one. In the bathrooms, there’s gaps in the backsplash. They installed the wrong sinks in ALL the bathrooms, and are refusing to correct their mistake! Don’t walk away from this business, RUN!

0- our BBB claim was just processed against them!! Wish I could show pictures from begining to end of the workmanship of all the poor cutting of the granite, connecting the pieces to the wall and each other etc. My husband called the day it was done and told them the work was horrible!!! Not to mention it took 8 weeks to fix it all because Marie doesnt know how to schedule or wasnt aware of the situation. To top it off after all that was done, we had a crack in our counter which RS blamed on our dishwasher??? THis was all within 4 months of having the counter/backsplash installed! Lmao. Needless to say they wouldnt even talk to us to replace it or communicate or well anything for that matter.Poor customer service, they will lie to your face!! Dont go here.. RUN
