A staple during my high school and college days. A local dive that’s always been epically fantastic (especially late at night — hint hint). The food is good and the atmosphere... one-of-a-kind!Locally owned with a classic homestyle American cuisine (think omelettes, burgers, etc.) — CASH ONLY!Don’t forget to feed the jukebox to “Strike up the Band” :)

Waited 15 minutes and watched them take the order of someone who came in at least 3 minutes after us. Then waited another 30 minutes for our breakfast only to get ham that is more fat and bone, no hashbrowns and no refills on our drinks. The drinks were flat, tasted like Pepsi, not coke. The waitress got busted talking about us, because we asked about our food. I wouldnt recommend unless you have all day and dont want good food!

OMFG I love this place!!! The Anchor dinner is an old standing staple eatery. I typically go for breakfast and get the half order biscuits and gravy and a goetta, onion, egg and cheese breakfast wrap. If your old school, youll appreciate that they let you smoke if you sit at the counter. To finish this review, Ill let you know that I had 4 cups of coffee with my food and my bill was under $11.JUST GO THERE NOW!!!

Food was good/alright. Definitely not a 5 star restaurant or dining experience. The place felt over crowded with all the knick knacks & u could tell there was dust on the shelves and where everything is. They also need to be more modern & update their registers & be able to accept cards. I also heard that the servers had to share their tips at the end of shift & thats just absurd to me. (Im a server myself at a restaurant & we get to keep all our tips. We take orders, assist them, bus our tables, & check them out) But the server we had was kinda rude like & she looked like she was just wore out with the day & didnt want to be there.

The restaurant has decent okay food 24 hours a day the only problem is there is no one room that is designated for non-smoking and every time you try to go the farthest place away from anyone that would come to smoke a person tends to sit down right next to you this is a reason why do not go here unless i absolutely have to. I would recommend going to another close by 24 hr eatery.

24 hour local diner with good food and great atmosphere. I tried the GLT which is like a BLT sandwich but has Goetta in it. So what is Goetta you ask? Goetta is a meat and grain sausage or mush. Not the best thing Ive ever tasted, but its good. It primarily has ground pork pin-head oats and spices. I would never say this is one of the best sandwiches I have ever tasted...not even close. A famous NY food reviewer Helen Rosner who writes for the New Yorker felt this way, but maybe shes just not used to eating sandwiches.Nonetheless, this diner is charming and conveniently located right off highway 71 in Covington. I happened to stop here at 3AM and the place was busy, a few drunk patrons helped the overall atmosphere.Service was good, albeit a little slow. most importantly it was friendly. Definitely a great experience but I personally would not be rushing back.

Its a local dish made of meat-and-grain sausage or mush of German inspiration that is popular in the greater Cincinnati area. It is primarily composed of ground meat, pin-head oats and spices. I also had a side of pancakes were large and very good. The cleanliness of the restaurant was excellent including the restrooms. Its conveniently situated just off the highway in what appears to be an older neighborhood.
