My vehicle needed a repair transmission, so my hubby and I took the vehicle to this shop. We Told this owner upfront, I was searching for a transmission on my own, with warranty. Days later Owner called to tell me he found a used transmission with 19k with a full years warranty for $2200. I told him i was not interested, unless he can provide a receipt with warranty for my protection. It was very important he provide me with proper documentation of purchase and warranty before moving forward. “Of course, I will give you everything!” After the transmission was fixed, he called us to test drive it. It didn’t shift smoothly but drove ok. I again asked him for documentation of the receipt and told him when he had it ready, I would pick up the vehicle. Days later he texted saying what do we want to do with the vehicle because it was ready, and after three days he can charge $15per day of storage fees. I reminded him that we were only waiting on the receipt and would pick up the car ASAP once he had it.He showed a piece of the receipt, stating the mileage and warranty of the transmission, but when we went with the money, he could not provide the actual receipt. He wanted to write the warranty on a piece of paper. No answer as to why.I had to call the police . And because he was angry I demanded an actual proof of warranty, he hiked the labor cost from $500 to $909 . Now we have a court case. Please be careful with this auto body service.
