From the midwest and we were starting to think you couldnt find good cheese in Rhode Island unless it was Italian or Portugese, not that theres anything wrong with those cheeses, theres just a lot more out there. We were happy to find this place. Knowledgeable owner, compact but really good selection. Check it out, its worth it.

What a great place to visit. I must say the owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about everything he offered in the store . He explained all the cheeses and where they came from. He allowed us to sample some cheeses before we ordered our food . I highly recommend getting the Works our pick of 5 cheeses, 4 meats. The presentation was beautiful and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this place .

Was brought here by RI Food Fights and the place is a spot I would never run into, but love it. Casey was super friendly and happy to see new faces. The Adrienne sandwich was delicious and the shop itself is cozy and welcoming. Cant wait to come back and take advantage of the BYOB!

Out of all the places Ive reviewed, Im most excited about this! Im addicted to cheese. My nutritionist wanted me to switch to goat cheese. Sounded gross but I was wrong! Casey took his time, asked me what my favorite cheeses are, and knew what my palate was craving. He spent over 40 minutes educating me. I will be going back every week! He also makes great sandwiches! Impress the people you love with the cheese and meat platter. This place blows me away. Highly recommended!

Save your money, put together your own platter with supplies from your grocery store for a fraction of the price and better packaging.

Fell in love with this cute little shop! The owner was attentive, informative, and patient. We asked many questions, tried a few different cheeses, and signed up for Cheese 101 class, which was also fantastic! If you love cheese, this place has a range of affordable and extravagant choices. I cant wait to get more!

Incredible cheese, charcuterie, and service!!!! I ordered the works two different times over the phone for curbside pickup (during COVID-19). The owners talked with me over the phone about what they had available, my preferences, and I was beyond impressed with the quality (and quantity) of the spread. Highly recommend! We’ll be back!

This shop always has great selection of cheeses. I love talking to the owner about the different cheese varieties. They always have local cheeses so you can help support local dairies. Great store!

Such a great spot for cheese. The staff were so friendly and helpful to suggestions. There timings are not exactly clear but the cheese is worth it. Its in a nice area with lots of green race so you could grab some cheese and snacks and sit outside to eat.

I had a great experience here picking out some meats and cheeses for a charcuterie board I was making. The woman was very helpful and help me pick out all the right choices. I didnt know they had sandwiches going in there, but the menu looks delicious once I was in there and reading it Lots of good gift ideas here.

Went last year for the RI Food fights and was left drooling at the thought of returning. Then I did come back, unfortunately a whole year later. Also for the RI Food Fights once again. This year they put a subpar sandwich up for the RI Food Fights with boiled ham, at least a good cheese and an overpowering mustard that definitely didnt seem like honey mustard as listed as an ingredient. The sandwich was also incredibly small served in a little paper boat. They definitely are giving themselves a bad name with this sandwich. I did make sure to order my favorite though as well with roast beef, brie and fig panini which came out delicious and well presented on a nice plate but with many broken chip pieces. However when I ordered my sandwiches the guy nodded and walked away into the kitchen and after waiting a few minutes I went and sat down. He didnt ring me up at the time of ordering like he did everyone else. It was super annoying to have to wait around after eating to try to pin someone down to pay for my sandwich. I was skipped over a few times. I was super frustrated and felt ignored and really wanted to just leave and not pay but I still did. Cheese is sold by the pound for super expensive prices, sandwiches are decent priced though and so are their boards. Just seemed like the people working today were just not with it at all. Not sure that Id come back.

Tried three of their cheeseboard selections with a wine (and cheese) loving group (check out my pics). The cheeseboards -- The Works - come with authentic deli meats as well. Absolutely worth it.This is an under-promoted shop for real turophiles and just people who enjoy good cheese, if you ask me. With the shop being a BYOB, what reason can you have not to visit? They are open on Sundays, too.The only part that can be improved is the shading on the windows. I can imagine how warm it gets in there, plus the sun shining on everything on the table (including the guests) in warmer weather.

My wife and I had a very nice experience at this location the food was good, the atmosphere was also good. I would definitely recommend this to a friend and will be visiting it again in the future. Kudos.

I love the Edgewood Cheese shop--the sandwich menu is small, but the panini are delicious! Theres a carefully selected assortment of cheeses...the owners are very personable and knowledgeable. The cheese boards are also fabulous! A local gem!

Edgewood Cheese offers a small but carefully selected variety of cheeses you wont find at Shaws, Stop & Shop, or even Whole Foods. They have great sandwiches too!

While the proprietor of the shop was welcoming, helpful and friendly beyond compare, the grilled cheese was absolutely the worst Ive had in my life. I cant un-taste it: an over-rich, gooey, foul sensation that haunts my senses to this day. The bread was crispy but in a stale way, thin and uninspired. This came with an enormous portion of chips that is guaranteed to expand ones waistband and some delectable dill pickles, but the awful flavor of the Miles trumps the great quality of the dill. The worst part was that the cost of said sandwich deflated my wallet by $8. Also, the local coffee that is great tasted like the Maxwell House in my cabinet. On the pro side: nice atmosphere, with Jazz playing in the background and simply furnished. And, as aforementioned, the man behind the counter was jubilant and informative.

There are so many different cheeses to choose from! I got a groupon for a $20 value so I decided to go in one saturday afternoon. Its towards the end of broad street on the cranston side and while there isnt a huge parking area, there is plenty of places to park nearby. The guy who owns it is extremely kind and very helpful! I got the 5 cheese cheeseboard with aged goat salami and then went home with two cheeses that I could eat with crackers coming to about $30 before the groupon. It was pretty relaxing as I enjoyed my cheeseboard with the great sounds of jazz the owner put on after I chose my cheeses. The cheese was pretty good, but I think I only really liked one or two of the cheeses on the board because there was a list of cheese you could choose and none of them besides one or two were the ones I wanted to try, thankfully I was able to try one of the cheeses I bought before I bought it. I had totally forgot it was BYOB so next time I come, I will be more prepared for sure!
