I worked for Kenny and he told everyone NOT to cut corners but got upset when you didnt cut corners. I busted my tail for this man and went above and beyond for his company. I was considered a supervisor/equipment operator and I was fired cause I wouldnt take pictures of a fellow employee using his phone. This was after a main supervisor seen the same individual using his phone. He is definitely out to make money NO matter if he has to cover up bad stuff or suffice you till he gets his money then put you off for a year till he fixes everything. A dishonest person and hard to work for, pays salary but wants everyone to work13 or 15 hours a day with NO overtime or bonuses.
Unbelievably poor work. Was contracted by my home builder to regrade my back yard. Kenney assured me he understood the scope of work that I expected. Did not performed the work they said they would. Installed dead sod with huge gaps. Now doesnt answer the phone, text message, or email. If you hire this company, you have nobody to blame but yourself.
Yup, a minus 5 woul fit betterWe had him put in a lawn it was not a big expensive one or fancy or anything like that. But shortly after he put it in, it started dying-we started calling. We never received a return call or anybody coming by we were not going to ask for anything free we just wondered why a brand new lawn was dying we followed his instructions on the caretaking of this lawn But to no avail. If anybody from this company reads this do not bother calling or coming by we hired a professional to help us.Do not hire. this company. They have no follow through. If this is your best you should find a different profession.
We are extremely pleased with this company! We have had sod put in 4 different times and K&R Cuts are the best! The supervisor was here the whole time and the crew went above and beyond with their work. Very polite and professional! Our yard is beautiful again!
I just love this store! They have a variety of unique items for your home and/or garden. The owner, Kenny, is easy to work with & very personable. We recently contracted with Kenny to install a brick patio in our backyard, remove existing bushes & plantings from the front of our house, create a new flower bed in order to disguise an ugly irrigation pipe & build a small water feature with a waterfall. I couldn’t be more impressed with their work!!! Additionally, I found their prices to be extremely competitive. Will definitely use them again.
Great customer service and skilled staff. Designed a pergola for us to work for a hammock and communication has been great. They started working on it immediately. They also took the time to make suggestions for our landscaping and were very knowledgeable. The store has amazing artwork and products for your house as well.
Rated 0 if we could. Visited the store and and left contact information for someone to come out for a for an estimate. After two weeks visited the store again, as we were not contacted (were told a message was left-not so). Finally received a call, and a date and time was set up at their convenience. No show... wasted most of the morning; called the store was given another number to call; voice mail box full again. We left to go out of town, and received a call after we called the store again, someone was coming out (apparently they forgot about their appointment they set up, was told a message was left again-not so). After two more weeks, nothing................found someone else to build a pergola with a roof on it.
I inquired about getting a fence put in my backyard. The owner came out and surveyed the land, the fence was completed in stages but they did excellent work. When they were staining my fence and ran out of stain, they contacted me to let me know that they would come back soon to finish the job. Very happy with the work.
What a Great Business! They have an awesome indoor showroom full of everything you need for outdoor decor and relaxation! Love this place!
Called to set up an appointment to get my lawn mowed. They came out while I was at work (perfect) but I was told the grass would be cut, concrete pressure washed, hedges trimmed, and a bush I requested to be pulled up would be removed. Only thing done was the edging of my yard and the cut. Hedges were done and my bush is still there. Didnt make a big deal because the grass was cut. I go out the next day to spread a crab grass treatment and as Im spreading seed on my lawn I see a random cup pushed in my grass. I was confused because I thought someone left trash in my yard. Not the case. I live on an incline and have a sewer pump that pushes my water uphill to the city man hole and there is a pipe in my front yard the sticks up from the grass. Who ever came and cut my grass cut the entire top of the pipe off and put a mega gulp stryofoam cup in my yard as a fix it solution. Someone from that company will pay the city for me to get a new sewage pipe. Plus there is deep deep fire tracks all over my backyard. My first impression of them was very pleasant hence the 2 stars but this is unprofessional and highly disappointing. Awaiting a call back to fix this issue.
Stay away from this company at all costs. They cannot be trusted! K & R Cuts did not fulfill contract stated repairs but demanded full payment. I have filed a complaint with the BBB to try to recoup the portion of the payment for the work they did not do so I can hire someone else to complete the job, as I will NEVER EVER allow K & R cuts on our property again. The K & R Cuts estimate/quote provided by owner of company, Kenny Bray, stated repair of approximately 340 sq ft of pavers for $1150. This sounded like a very large area given the damage we had. When workers showed up for the first scheduled visit, but before workers were allowed to start repairs, I requested they show me repairs to be done. They estimated it to be less than 135 sq ft. I showed them quote that stated 340 sq ft of repairs for $1150 and asked if they wanted to find out if they were missing something as to where the 340 sq ft came from. They said there was no way that much area needed repair, so I asked what the charge would be for only their estimated 135 sq ft of repair. They stated they are just workers and could not answer that, so they called a person they called ‘their boss’. I was present when they explained the situation to him. I heard him propose that the bill would be adjusted to reflect the amount of work they actually did. I agreed to that and the workers began repairs. Even though we supplied the pavers for free, they did not repair/replace all the damaged pavers in the area where they were replacing damaged pavers. They also did not re-secure the undamaged pavers. At the end of the work day, they called their boss again as he had told them to check in at the completion of their work. I was present when the worker reported to his boss that they had repaired two sections (14x5 and 7x9) for a total of 133 sq ft. I heard the boss ask if he was certain that was all they repaired. The worker replied that he was certain as he had measured it three times. I offered to pay the worker before they left, but he told me someone would be in touch with the corrected bill. It has now been nearly 2 months. I have called once and sent 3 emails. In the last email, I stated I had calculated an amount based on work performed and was sending them a check. I finally heard from the boss who states I owe the full amount regardless of the amount of work they performed. I tried to post his actual email so everyone could judge for themselves the kind of person Mr. Kenny Bray is, but I ran out of room. I suppose if you signed a contract for a builder to build a 2000 sq ft house, but the builder only delivered a 780 sq ft house, in Mr. Brays world, you would still owe the builder the full contract price! Shoddy work and dishonest. Stay away from this company.
The people who work for this company seem to care more about simply being done with the task rather than the task itself. They have a blatant disregard for the appearance of your walkway or driveway and also dont care whether your vehicle is in the driveway. They will edge the grass towards your vehicle and spray it with sand/dirt as well as leaf blow everything all over the place. I have given them the benefit of the doubt in that maybe they were just having a bad day, but the result is consistent. Its really frustrating to walk out the door and see mulch everywhere as well as my vehicle covered in sand/dirt.
Mike & staff have gone above & beyond in landscaping and maintaining my restaurant property in Crestview. They provide superb customer service and personal interest in making sure we are well taken care of. I highly recommend them for new landscaping as well as maintenance jobs.Bill Spurlin,Davids Catfish House
High Quality Service from people who really care. We loved their awesome indoor showroom showcasing everything anyone could want for their back yard paradise.
Nice little garden center,a Lot of cool stuff for outside of your home
Love the selection of outdoor decor items along with the landscaping service. I love shopping at K&R Cuts and More!
Work here locally and have had these guys show up several times in pants and spread poison all over our material that we put our hands on. No respect for other workers on jobsite...
Our backyard has a significant slope between our yard and our backyard neighbor’s yard. We wanted to hire K&R to build us a retaining wall, because we like supporting local businesses, but we just learned what others have already posted.Kenny came out on Tuesday morning, to give us an estimate. We were excited to know it would be no problem, the price was reasonable, and they would be able to begin work the following week. He said he would need to get back to the office, check the schedule, and then he would call me with a timeframe.I didn’t hear back from him for the rest of Tuesday, nor all day Wednesday. I called Thursday morning, but had to leave a message with the woman at the office. Still I did not hear from him. Saturday was a repeat of Thursday. The following Tuesday – now a full week since he came out for the estimate – I called three times, and yet they still neglected to call us back. The next day, Wednesday, was the final straw. Again I had to leave a message and this time I stated if I did not hear back from Kenny by the end of the day, then I should assume they did not want our business. Lo and behold, wouldn’t you know it, I actually received a call. I was given excuses, and he promised he would call me back by the weekend to let me know when they would be able to start working the following week (now already pushed back a week). Of course, he never called us. I then went into the store that following Monday morning and, of course, Kenny wasn’t there, so I had to tell the woman it was ridiculous I, the customer, had to constantly call them, instead of them actively contacting me. She was very nice, apologized, and then she called Kenny right there for me. After talking with him, she informed me they would be out on either Wednesday or Thursday to begin working. The next day, Tuesday, May 19th, I saw one of their flatbed trucks stop in front of our house, but they then backed into our neighbor’s driveway, turned around and drove off. I found that to be very strange. The next day, Wednesday, the foreman pulled up to the house and then I understood why that truck pulled up the day before: the crew dropped off the lumber at the house two doors down. The foreman said they were told the wrong address. Now I found this incredulous, because when Kenny came out for the estimate he wrote down our address, and EVERY single time I called or visited the store I gave my address. While the crew was loading the lumber back on to the truck I took the foreman to the backyard. I asked if Kenny was going to show, and I was told he wasn’t. I was concerned about this since no one else, besides Kenny, had been to our house and the foreman wouldn’t know what I conveyed to Kenny. So I began going over everything with the foreman, and then I asked where they were going to install the deadman anchors. He said they weren’t. Instead, they were going to build the wall by securing the wood to the fence posts. I was floored! First of all, the fence is my neighbors, and, secondly, the fence posts were installed to hold up a fence, not hold back dirt. And since the rains had already washed away some of our dirt I could foresee the fence posts being pushed over by the weight of the retaining wall. Then I would be responsible for paying to replace the neighbor’s fence AND having our retaining wall redone. I told the foreman I was not agreeing to that construction plan, for the reasons mentioned. The foreman said he would take some pictures of our yard, go back and talk with Kenny, and then they would contact me. That was eight days ago, and I’m sure one can already guess what DIDN’T happen AGAIN!In the end, my wife and I are embarrassed for expecting this business to have high standards, but, more so, for them not striving to meet or excel the customers’ expectations! They would do better by forgetting the landscaping part of their business and solely concentrate on the nursery. However, since they decided to neglect us so badly we have decided not to do business even with the nursery part, which breaks my wife’s heart.
