Used this location to have the rear window of my truck replaced. The following day it rained and some water leaked into the truck. Made another appointment and had it replaced again, hopefully this fixes the new issue. Staff was great but when I got home I noticed the truck paint under the window is now discolored from some type of solution used when the window was replaced. Tried cleaning it off but it’s not coming off, hopefully it doesn’t damage the paint. If it wasn’t for that I’d give them a higher rating.
Came here for a spider crack in the windshield. I was told when I dropped the car off that the glass would be able to be fixed with minor cracks still spider webbing out, but 95% of it at least fixed. Got the car back and the crack was the same…
I wish I had 10 stars to give!Gentleman came out with his van to attempt a crack repair. The crack was unable to be repaired and the team immediately got me an appointment at noon that same day in their shop. They needed to special order my windshield and had it on site and installed out the door by 1:00 p.m.Amazing staff courteous and willing to support me well in the area for a wedding. We had traveled over 300 miles and didnt want to travel home with a growing crack. Excellent support. Thanks so much!

Alex Rodriguez from safelite replaced my windshield when I was at work today. It was super easy. I answered some questions on the website and when I was at work the glass was replaced. They did a great job and left my car clean and as good as new! My technician even left instructions for me to fallow on how to care for the new windshield. Thank goodness he did become I would have gotten the car washed. Thank you Alex, I never got to meet you but you are awesome!
So I thought I had made an appointment for the Safelite Auto Glass and I get there I drop my keys off or sitting there were sitting there Cars full of people get out go in their cars are getting done taking care of and I start getting frustrated cuz Im like oh very why is everyone going for me like you know I dont understand whats going on so I I did ask a gentleman Im I didnt really get his name he had black dreads nice guy but he said he would check in for me to figure out whats going on never came back out then I am I okay somethings wrong I dont understand why my car is not getting picked up for getting fixed then another guy that just got finished with another car gets out and Im like a excuse me Ive been waiting here for so long I need to know whats going on I had an appointment at 9:30 and I mean I was running a little late but you know whats going on and hes like oh no you have an all-day drop-off and Im like what do you mean hes like meeting you got to drop your car off at 9 and itll be here all day and Im like nobody told me that I thought I had an appointment hes like no hes like its because we were so busy we couldnt really give you an appointment that we would have to squeeze you into whenever we got a chance to so I was kind of a little upset but the guy really took my concerns too hard Im guessing because within the next hour he squeezed my car and got my car fixed the glass and he came out and you do apologize for the way and you know she said he apologized and you know next time you know just let us know and well explain it to you better you know so over all this place is wonderful I just I misunderstood and all day drop off kind of thing so now I know that when I apply online to talk to the people up front at the desk instead of just dropping my car off and waiting but I wish I would have got the guys name because because he was really nice and really sweet he did it on his lunch break which I really really really appreciate it Im like oh I should buy you lunch or something at all cuz you know I felt bad that he was doing it on his lunch but you know I really appreciate the guy thank you very much whoever you are
First installer left broken glass in door so it shook out everywhere. Glass would get stuck in door .They sent another installer and he was great he cleaned and fixed everything perfectly, thanks to Robert for making it right
Staff was very professional, polite and noticed me about services that my car needed on time.. I highly recommend it and will come back if I need to. They also worked with my insurance in a professional manner.
Took my friends car to have the side window replaced. they did not repair the window properly. Window did not close all the way. The glass was not sitting on the bracket properly and was crooked. They did not clean the glass properly after it was delivered. (I do have pictures to prove it) also They claimed there were something wrong with the window motor/switch and wanted to charge extra to fix it. Even tho the car went in the shop with no issues with the window motor or anything. The manger showed “friendliness” behavior which is expected if your in a retail or any type of business. i did find that the mangers tone changed when talking to me about the situation since he knew that i knew what i was talking about. I observed how he was talking to my friend compared to how he was talking to me. I really hope its not a matter of “how to deal with male customers vs female customers”. If so, change your style and talk to all customers like the customers know about thieir cars and not try to take advantage. Also Not sure if the manager is aware of their techs recommendations but all i know is that they tried to take over $150 from my friend. I highly recommend you take someone who is knowledgeable about the cars to that location with you if your planning on getting work done.

Best customer service experience. I was aware of every step in replacing my window. Waiting area was clean and beverages and snacks provided. Very efficient in work and Im glad I didnt drop car off because the replacement didnt take long at all
Great experience and they finished my car in under half hour of taking it. They provide snacks and beverages while you wait. Their mask policy was good as well. Not a place were they force you to wear it but the employees dont.
I went today for the first time. It was easy to get a claim with Geico and I was able to schedule my appointment same day. Everyone here was very nice and friendly. Everyone acknowledged us and greeted us as we waited for our windshield to be replaced. It took 45 minutes, they had a really good snack bar area and I thought it was really fancy of them to have 16 oz coffee cups because most places only have 8 oz coffee cups. My windshield looks amazing! I 110% recommend Cromwell Safelite to everyone ❤️
Nice and friendly people. Free chips, cookies, coffee, and tea. Could benefit from extra hand sanitizers in the refreshment bar and automatic faucet, as well as paper towel to open the door. Also, cleaning supplies to clean the chairs prior to using.. also staff who will clean/ sanitize the area frequently. covid times.. what can i say..

Fantastic customer service! Was having a problem with a leak that developed in my windshield. It was from the seal/glue so it was not covered by insurance glass coverage. Called Safelite and they set up an appointment the next day. They ran water tests, determined it was in fact leaking behind the seal, and completely replaced the glass at no charge, even though it was 4 years from when they originally installed it. The whole time, every one I talked to either on the phone or in person was extremely helpful and pleasant. Also, everyone wore masks with the customers and made sure to point out how everything was cleaned and sanitized after the work. Thank you Safelite!
This was by far one of the best experiences I had with a business of any sort. From the initial call into customer service to make the appointment, to the time I was handed my keys when the work was complete at my local Safelite location, I was treated with such courtesy. Everything was explained in detail. The whole process was very efficient and my windshield has been repaired. I couldnt be more satisfied.
Polite workers that are truthful and helpful. Thought I had a crack in my windshield that needed filling and they let me know that it was already filled (used car). They could have lied easily and taken my money but didnt and explained what was going on. Would definitely go again if need be.
I had my windshield replaced this past weekend (5/9/20) and this morning (5/14/20) I was driving and noticed a huge crack beginning to form from the bottom up! I immediately drove over to the Cromwell location and after waiting inside for a few minutes, a very friendly gentleman came out and looked at it. We arranged to have things fixed tomorrow if it doesn’t rain. He was very friendly and this crack was no ones fault! It’s glass, it happens. I highly recommend the Cromwell location!

Alot of billing confusion there. Charged my CC, for wiperblades, then refunded, then charged again for a higher rate than agreed upon, THEN, after I called Natl number, returned the amount. Biggest thing was the shop left glass shards on the floor of my truck. Unreal. Glad I dont have small children.
Had my windshield replaced. Fast service great technician. Had an issue and they jumped on making sure I was taken care of. Even snacks and entertainment in lobby to pass the wait. Even offered a ride if I needed to be somewhere
Very happy with my experience. They replaced my Honda CRV 2007 glass, quickly, cleanly and perfectly. Very nice and knowledgeable manager and attendant. SMH...Was not happy that i went there for a repair and ended up having to replace windshield. Although, the technician was very nice and advised that sometimes they end up cracking the glass when they try run machine, i didnt think it would since the crack was so tiny- if i knew the odds were greater, I would have left the small crack alone until it took its course...
Absolutely horrible!!!! If I could rank less than one star I would. I have to share my experience.I scheduled an appointment for a tech to come to my location and I was told the earliest available time is Tuesday which was a couple days away. We locked in that date and I received a call the day before confirming my appointment. Hours before my appointment I received a call that my car needed a special recalibration and they in fact cannot fix it on site so I would need to come into the shop. When I questioned the person on the phone about why my car needed this and why this has just come up at the last minute- they were unable to offer a reasonable explanation. Fine- we rescheduled for me to drop my car off at the shop at their next available opening which was days later on the weekend. About 15mins after dropping off my car at the shop, I received a phone call that my car does NOT in fact need this recalibration, the technician was not sure why I was told this, they could have fixed it on site earlier that week and unfortunately they could not fix my car in shop that day because the actual part I needed they did not have. Yet again another reschedule. We moved the appointment to days later when they agreed a technician would be sent out to me to fix the car on site. On the day of this next appointment, no technician arrived so I call Safelite only for them to tell me the appointment was for in shop because I need a recalibration. I was just told I did NOT need this over the weekend which is why we made an appointment for them to send a tech out to me!! Reluctantly, I arrive to the shop that same day so they can fix my car, upon dropping my car off they say “yes you’re here for the window replacement and recalibration!” . NO RECALIBRATION IS NEEDED! My goodness, the chaos and confusion of this place caused so much frustration and inconvenience. It’s been a 2 week process for a service that’s supposed to be quick and easy for their customers. All in all I would NOT recommend
These fellas did a great job replacing my windshield. They were polite, clean, courteous, and when they found a sticker that could not be removed in one piece offered to text me a picture of it, if I could not, so that it could be replaced. (Electronic/ barcode sticker) They cleaned all of the windows in my car and did an excellent job keeping the windshield adhesive where it is supposed to be.I would recommend the Cromwell Safelite to any family or friend.
Safelite made this process so easy from start to finish! I got a rock chip in my Toyota Rav4 and reached out to Safelite for a replacement windshield. They had mobile availability for the weekend and just as promised, the Safelite technician gave me a heads up phone call with his ETA when he was on his way to my house. TRY PAY LESS AUTO GLASS!I came in on a scheduled appointment one Saturday, on time for 9am.10:50am a tech tells me that I got the wrong rear windshield in the right box.Suggested it would rain over the weekend; & that the part was in Bloomfield.I said if I waited this long then Id just hold off for the correct part.12pm he brings my car around with plastic over it, supposedly they were closed but he called and it said they were open (remained calm).Asked what time Monday, and we agreed to 10:30am.Monday rolls around, and I was asked to wait (dropping car off).They didnt have the windshield, but its on its way.They also offered a discount the Saturday for the inconvenience, and new wipers.Monday I asked what was the discount, and the tech wanted to give me my original out the door price and wipers.I called pay less auto glass 250, and they would come to my home.I got 25 bucks off, 225 out the door for all my inconvenience. Pro work safelite! Never again!
They were extremely friendly. Car was done within 90 mins as promised. No other services were offered, just the price I was quoted. Orlando was extremely friendly and informative. Waiting room has coffee, snacks, and drinks for free! Chairs were comfortable. Saturday hours are nice.

Very accommodating! They were able to fix my window same day it was broken !Very prompt service and clearly experts ! I love how they had coffee and snacks while I waited for the fix. They said I would be waiting up to two hours and it took about 45 minutes.

Had my windshield and wipers replaced here in October 2017 and it was such a bad experience that I cant forget it and felt I had to share to hopefully help others. First, the good...its convenient, clean, snacks in waiting area, and workers are nice. So heres the problem....they did a horrible job replacing my windshield and wipers. Their replacement wipers actually stuck and snapped across my windshield. I found out while driving in the rain that they didnt operate properly. I could have crashed as I literally could not see through my rain covered windshield due to the faulty wipers. Regarding the windshield replacement; they failed to use the car manufacturers (OEM) glass that my vehicle requires. When they replaced it with aftermarket glass, the vehicle safety features didnt work. They told me they just needed to recalibrate the camera behind the windshield. That didnt work. In the meantime I visited my dealer and was told there is a manufacturer bulletin telling glass repair shops that they must use OEM glass. I brought the bulletin to Safelite and explained it and they still didnt immediately order OEM glass. They had me come back (third visit) for a more experienced technician from another Safelite location (or maybe he was a regional manager or something) to come look at it. My fourth visit. That failed. They agreed to order OEM glass. It took awhile and when I inquired they said the OEM glass they ordered broke and they had to reorder. Finally, weeks later, they replaced with OEM glass (my 5th visit). I missed lots of work during all of this, and also ended up having a minor accident due to the cars safety equipment being inoperable for approximately 2 months until they finally got it right. They refused to pay for the repair due to the accident that wouldnt have happened if their ineptitude hadnt disabled my cars sensing features. They told me the fine print on something I signed said they arent responsible. Know what I got for my troubles? A $20 Olive Garden gift card. Well whoop de do. Would not go back to Safelite if it was the last glass place on Earth. Wish I could give negative stars.

Worst customer service Ive ever dealt with!They forgot to bill my insurance and then threatened to send me to collection. After my insurance company settled the matter and paid them the amount due they still sent me to collection.So now my credit score has been damaged and they still refuse to admit they got paid even though I have proof of payment.On top of all that my truck was given back to me dirty with glue all over the roof along with scratches and smudge marks on the dashboard. The glue cannot be removed from the paint and some of the scratches on the dashboard are very deep.Screw you safelite!!!

They cancelled my appointment because I didn’t have a heated garage. They first came out to tell me they couldn’t do it. Once I rescheduled it they canceled on me. This place is poor and the customer service is even worse. Stay away.
I was in a bind with a customer from my job and his window was leaking and due to the snow and rain weve had lately I needed it fixed asap and all other places told me two to three weeks. I called safelite and they got the vehicle in same day and had it back to me before I knew it, returning it to my customer before expected made him extremely happy! Thank you safelite for being so kind convenient and curtious! I recommend safelite in Cromwell CT to everyone !

My fiancés car was broken into and it was raining, we happened to be next door at the gym so we drove over to safelite to see if they could just cover the window for the moment because it was raining until we got a hold of the insurance company to see if they would cover the new glass and safelite acted like it was such an issue. Finally we got the okay and safelite fixed the window a few hours later but the window was installed incorrectly and they tried to say that the window was bubbled so it was a bad shipment I knew this wasnt the case because whwn they came 2 days later to replace it again I saw the guy take it apart and noticed it wasnt installed properly, Im a mechanic I know what a properly installed window looks like. After the fix we went out a couple hours later and noticed a piece of the handle was broken and got a quote from Hyundai for a new one, the car only has 6000 miles on it so we wanted that fixed, they told us they would contact us later that day, its been a week of us going in and t asking to thier staff that has no customer service experience bc they were so rude and kept giving us the run around telling us each time that the manager will contact us, every day we waited and no call ever came. Its really becoming a nuisance and wasting my time to keep going in there. Im not very happy with them and would not recommend them to anyone else ever.

HORRIBLE to work with. My in-laws were in town when their windshield was cracked by flying debris on the highway. We called and made an appt for 10am on Tuesday, June 9th. We dropped the car off on Monday, June 8th in the late afternoon around 4pm. We were told it would be started on FIRST THING the NEXT day, meaning Tuesday. We explained they were due to drive back to Pittsburgh immediately after it was fixed.My husband called in this morning and was told they were starting on the car but that they needed to order a part so it would take a little longer than expected. My husband called back today at 1pm today (Tuesday, June 9th) and was told There is about one hour left of work. He had to go to work so he dropped my in-laws off at the shop. They were told it would be done around 2pm which would be roughly a one hour wait. It turns out that someone made the appointment for 10am on Wednesday, June 10th and THEY HAD NOT EVEN STARTED ON THE CAR AT ALL. We were told that it was a call center we had talked to when we called at 1pm but either way, someone outright lied. If they thought the appt was for tomorrow and hadnt even started on it than they could not have had one hour left. My in-laws are having to take tomorrow off of work now and stay over another day as well as having to sit for hours at the shop since we are both 45 min away at work and they have no vehicle to leave with.Utterly unacceptable customer service. We will never be back.

Put the wrong windshield in my Bmw where the one that was replaced the broken one had a tint and it was supposed to have the same they never put it in as well as breaking the gear for my steering wheel and a manager I was told would call me and never did not to mention the hour and half to two hours it was supposed to take to replace it took a extra hour would not recommend Cromwell location at all their was two other unhappy customers their you can take my word or find out the other way
