I like menards,i bought my dog food and Christmas lights.

My fav home improvement store! Great service and pricing. Great sales! I look forward to those. Never bought a product that let me down. I just wished Menards offered installations and not just referrals, like their competitors do. Id feel better about the process if i knew the installers would have to report to Menards and not just myself.

Found some great deals. Sometimes I find things a lot cheaper than at Home Depot or Lowes.

We went in to do a kitchen design and our experience was way better than the competitors down the street. Haley helped us and she was freaking amazing! She was patient, gave us all our options and didnt tell us no to any design we had in mind unless it absolutely didnt work. I would recommend this locating and their staff for any kitchen designs you may go through with. We also were able to save a ton of money and keep all our products American made.We will be going to this location again and again. I will be recommending them for kitchen design as well! I am so excited to get our products!!! Seriously, best experience ever!

Crystal Lake is Still number 1!Cheryl from lighting was able to guide us to this lovely 12 G wire, and converse intelligently about porcelain light sockets, as well as the difference, if any, with stranded 8g impedance vs. solid.Gabe taught us how to sealcoat the driveway and fill in cracks.The Diamond Crystal salt, thus far is 100% white, clean, bright, & without odor.The checkout staff could be less prissy.  Josie yelled What are you guys even doing after she got stabbed scanning a previously returned spool of Grey 12g that was rewrapped with saran wrap.Customer service is key, and had it not been for the accusative comment, we would have turned around and spent another grand in the store.Recommend this store without reservation. This store makes any job seem less intimidating and opens your mind to endless project possibilities.

I like to shop in menards they always have what I want plus prices is very affordable.

Found what I wanted service could of been a bit more knowledgeable but I found it.

It was a lot better organized since I was there 5 years ago. They were out of stock on the bags of multi-use gravel I wanted to buy. The front service desk could have been a bit more helpful. They could have checked if the item was in stock instead of sending a senior citizen in a wheel chair on a wild-goose chase in a big no(huge) box store. Menards has never been too handicapped friendly, but at least they now have a motorized handicapped shopping cart. Home Depot has had them for years and put Menards to shame! I prefer Home Depot because the staff is so helpful and knowledgeable.

Quick in and out. Employees are helpful and friendly. Even on a holiday weekend. Love this store.

Great online ordering and pick up service. Very secure & prompt. Rebates are still a pain. Would rather have the 11% off at checkout... similar to Kohls cash. Give a receipt or coupon to spend a week or 2 later, only valid for a week. Menards Money or Menards Mega Bucks for example.

A decent selection. Easy to find what you need. Not always easy to find an employee to help you, though.

The employee did not listen to me and put the wrong SKU for the yard pick up in the computer. Cost me 20 minutes of my time... thank you Menards for not listening to the customer. It really was not that hard.

Went here late on a Sunday. Flooding on the second floor damaged the ceiling.Gabe, who works in the paint department rocks. He took extra time to make sure the ceiling paint was exact.He valued me and my time to make sure I didn’t need to come back.Awesome customer care!!!! let’s Go Gabe!

If you want the very best carpet installer definitely use Alfonso Carpet installer. I bought carpet from Menards in Crystal Lake and he is on their list of suggested installers. He is a very hard worker and does high end quality work at a very reasonable cost!Mike OB.

This location does not have the automated propane purchase/exchange so had to go the back of the store to get a tank then take it outside to get it filled. Not the most convenient, but Chris was most patient and helpful in getting the track filled!

I came in here with my mom looking to purchase a freezer on 05/22/2021, waited over 40 minutes for the guy in the department to finish up w/ his customer. (He never help.) I knew he was going to be awhile. I even tracked down another employee, but he was stalking drinks and I understand that wasnt his department so he didnt help. He just pointed us to the guy that was helping two woman already. I waited 15 min and left. I decided to go to Best Buy and come back which I did and he was still helping those two customer! I decided to go look for another employee in a diff. department asking if he can help and letting him know if he can get someone to help if he cant with purchasing the freezer bc we waited over half an hour for the guy! GABE took it upon himself to help us with it! Even though he gave some incorrect information w/ delivery, he took the responsibility of helping! I did not know how much longer the other older guy was going to take bc it looked like they were working on a project over there. Geez. Wheeew. Im so glad Gabe stepped in to help! I appreciate his help with finally purchasing a new freezer! 1 star for all the long wait, not being help within a timely manner, and also asking a employee for help, then was referred back to the older guy that was helping the two woman by the cabinets. I had to go find another employee when I realized those 2 woman were going to be awhile. I understand the older guy was caught up in helping them, but please dont let your customer go unnoticed! Especially if they are hanging around waiting. Felt completely ignored the whole time until I went to go stand/waited in front of the older guy that was helping the two woman. He then looked at me and ask, Are you being help?. Bruhhhhhh, now you want to ask?..Where was that question over an hour ago? 5 star for GABE! He a real one. Lol let me stop. Thank you GABE! He put in the ticket order and walked us over to the delivery spot and left. Now, this is where I came across Cameron in the back. He was confused why there was 2 ticket and asking if we were looking to purchase two fridge. I told him it was only 1 freezer not 2. The confusion was where there were 2 ticket. I had to tell him that 1 of the 2 one was basically for a 3 year repair. (It was on the sheet) I guess it threw him off because it could of been all on one paper. So I had to explain to him. After all that, I was finally out that store!

Asked an associate for some help n he said he was sending someone, waited almost 15 mins n no-one showed up n got no help

For your average home improvement projects, this place is fantastic. They have all the necessary materials, tools, and knowledgeable staff that can help you. If, like me, you tend to do projects that are a little outside the box, they might fall a little bit short. Not really a knock against them, but just the truth. As I said, for your average home improvement project, I would highly recommend.

I like Menards. Its nice That they offer grocery items to. An employee helped me find what I was looking for. Its a big store!

Can almost always find what I need and not have a ton of employees trying to help. I like to walk around a store to see if there is anything else I may want or need.

This company does not provide paid leave for covid 19 illness for their staff. Do not support companies like these. Several people that work here have gotten the virus, most likely because they come in contact with many people at the store.

It was not very busy when I went through. A quick checkout with no waiting. The prices seem higher and the special rebates are far less numerous, presumably a result of the increased cost of doing business in this time of coronavirus.

Ive bought loads of building materials from this particular store. Customer service is good, but they dont seem to enforce the mask mandate. I sent over $100 in rebates and havent received a cent. The Menards rebate scheme seems like a scam. Ill have to take pictures of all of my receipts and send it through certified mail to make sure that reebate international fulfills the rebates.

Felt it was safe for me to be there; people wearing masks, respecting social distancing. Place is clean. Wanted to buy some boards to repair a deck but I was told 1x6 were out of stock and not available even online. Need to verify this though.

The staff here is always very nice and helpful. I was searching for an item that I had looked up online, and was having trouble locating. A member of the electrical area asked if I needed help, and proceeded to hunt down the item for me in their system, and led me to it.

I needed grass seed and went to Menards. They had 5 different brands to choose from. The important thing is they had what I wanted and bought it.

I needed to replace a bathroom faucet, never done it, came in with just the handle that my son broke off. Had no clue where to begin. The staff was so helpful in explaining what I needed how to do it and even offered some saving tips for the future. It was a lot easier then I thought. Thanks to your wonderful staff!

I have been here so many times. Good luck finding help. Their is a customer service culture issue at this store. The one in Woodstock is so much better and helpful. This one they repetitively won’t even walk you to where something is and just give you wrong directions. They are sarcastic when you ask them questions. Just go to Woodstock it’s better, if your in Crystal Lake do Home Depot. Home Depot is never rushed. Night and day difference.

Easily accessible. Plenty of parking. Usually can find someone to help you when needed. Checkout time is decent. Theres always a great variety of products and I love the As Seen On T.V. aisle

I usually shop at Home Depot but today I felt I was going to find what I wanted at Menards. When asking where something is, the associates mostly use the point and over there method. I had to ask to be taken to the spot in one instance. Another employee that I asked questions of had a mask dangling below his chin and not on his face. I did not think that was good.

Tonight April 30th went to this store. They stopped us at the door because we didnt have a mask on. This goes into effect on May 1 for Illinois not before. Menards is a Socialist business and has lost this customer for good.they flat out suck!

This outrageous store stopped me at the door because I did not have a face mask on. It was absolutely ridiculous judging that I was there yesterday without one and not one employee stopped me. This is inappropriate. They can’t stop me from shopping and supporting their business all because i was not wearing a mask!

They have almost everything! The store is huge but there always seems to be a store attendant around to help fine what I need.Dont be surprised if they literally escort you to the aisle you need to go down and even help you choose the item that would be best for you. Their prices are comparable to Walmart and, sometimes. even a little cheaper. Anyway, thats what I experienced.

I really enjoy Menards. I go just to go sometimes. I can always find something that I really dont need, that I cant live without! They just about have everything. I also like the 11% rebates! My only complaint is the employees. I used to work there myself, like 25: years ago. You just cant find good help anymore these days!

Whos brilliant idea was it to close the Garden center entrance, they should be fired. I wonder how much business they lost because of it? You need to re-think that move. Otherwise Menards is GREAT. Much better than the orange place.

Friendly staff! Always someone around to help locate and item. They will walk you to the location instead of just giving you the aisle number. Good prices. The lumber yard staff is knowledgeable and eager to assist in loading and locating whatever you need.
