I wish there was an option to give zero stars. This was by far the worst customer service experience I have had in my life. We ordered bridesmaid dresses back in March for my friends wedding (which was this past weekend) and were told they would be in mid-July. Once August came and we hadnt heard from them, I called to find out the status. The clerk rudely told me that the July date was just an estimate and the dresses would be there when they get there. A few weeks later, I called again, and was told the dresses would probably ship sometime soon but they werent really sure when. I asked for someone to please find out when they would ship and have a manager call me back, because now we were down to only a month until the wedding and still needed time for alterations. I never received a call back, and when I called again to follow up, I was told by the clerk to please stop calling. The dresses came in only a week before the wedding, and when we complained about the timeline impairing our ability to get alterations, they claimed their in-house alteration department has a one-day turnaround. I dont exactly trust their timelines, and find it convenient how this forces us to give more money to their store (rather than going to another alterations place, like we could have if the dresses came in on time). We ended up getting dresses last minute off the rack from a department store, since we didnt know if the dresses we ordered were ever coming in. We all lost the deposits we had put on the dresses. From reading other reviews, I see that our experience was not unique. I beg you all not to give this store any of your money--they will do their very best to ruin your special day.
Not a great experience. Found a beautiful dress. Asked attendant if it could be ordered in a bright, white color. Reiterated several times that dress was to be white. Ordered over the phone a couple of days later and asked for the bright white color as discussed during appointment. 3 months later, dress arrived -- not the correct color. Stated that dress was ivory but looks more like a cream color. Am now being told the dress doesnt come in the white color I had asked about and that we cant order anything in time in the color I want - now must buy another hair piece to match dress, new shoes to match dress, new material for arbor, and guys have to get different shirts to match the dress. A lot of money out the window and the bridal store has offered no discount. A very disappointed customer and bride....dont even want to wear the dress anymore, but no choice, its all I have and I cannot afford to buy another dress or get one in time. :( The one plus is that the alteration lady was amazing. Very professional and polite and actually listened to what I wanted. Would go to her in a heartbeat. An update: Called to find out make of dress....mainly because I couldnt believe that it didnt come in white. Went to the website - the dress shown is white!! And white is listed as an option - had another bridal store in my home town call the company and inquire about ordering a white dress in my size in time and was told that, at this point, it was too late to get it in time; however, if we would have ordered when I initially called the Bridal Store and asked about it, it would have arrived in plenty of time. So, not only did the owner of the Bridal Store lie to me about the color options (and try to make me feel stupid by using all kinds of different terms for white - brilliant white, diamond white, etc. - when WHITE is the color listed on the website), she was also unwilling to order me the dress that I had initially ordered, in my color, and lied about being able to get it on time. I was also told I was stuck with it, because I had signed a contract for ordering the dress (which is amazing, because I actually ordered it over the phone, from 1 state away....not really sure how I managed to sign something via phone??) - very unethical!I am a very sad and frustrated bride at this point, who is out a lot of money, and stuck in a dress that doesnt match my décor, bridesmaid, or groom (who have all already bought their stuff). Terrible customer service. Would highly recommend everyone to avoid this store!!
Lots of pretty dresses, but dont be fooled. I found the most beautiful dress there despite being uncomfortable the entire time. Walked in and was told to just start picking out my own dresses...no direction really. The lady I worked with was nice enough, but then they had a another girl who was learning the trade (intern I guess) which is was horribly awkward since you basically get naked in front of these people. Anyways, found the dress and bought it in Feb with a Nov wedding. Fast forward to August when I was told me dress would be in. I hadnt heard from them so I started calling and was told that it just wasnt in yet. Kept calling and then was notified that it would be in in Sept. Then I was told there was some kind of port strike and the dress couldnt ship....No one called me. I had to keep calling to get information and not so much as an apology came from them. They brushed it off like this happens all the time. Finally got my dress only to find out that they didnt order it in my height like they should have. There was lace applique all along the bottom making it impossible to hem. Thank goodness I found a seamstress with 30+ years experience (who was horrified at what the dress shop had done) and she was able to talk my dress a part from the middle to bring it up that way. I got my dress done 5 days before my wedding. NOT WORTH THE AGGRAVATION!!
I got married 2 days ago (August 16th) and purchased my dress at the end of October. It came in exactly when it was expected to. My dress was a sheath dress in all lace, and Maggie the seamstress/tailor did an absolutely phenomenal job with every part of my dress. I had an illusion back and a cathedral veil, and purchased a beaded belt to be sown into the front of my dress but didnt want it to interfere with the back detail of my dress. Maggie was more than accommodating with both me and the designer of my dress. My dress was Allure and after being made to fit my measurements, it arrived to the store in less than perfect condition. The owner of the store noticed it immediately and requested that Allure fix my dress and express ship it back to me. It was back within 3 weeks (still about 2 months before my big day) and was in perfect condition at no cost to me. The owner was also in direct contact with me regarding the shipment, delivery, and any other necessary details I needed to be aware of regarding my dress. The Bridal Store allowed me to store my dress at their store until I picked it up the day before my wedding and also steamed both my dress and veil at no additional cost. They are very flexible regarding appointment times and pickup dates, and I would highly recommend this place! They just went through some inside renovations and the outside is still under renovation, but dont like that sway you from going inside. I also bought my hair comb, garter, and other bridal accessories there. I wish we would have rented our tuxes from here as well, as we got ours at Dena Maries and had a less than ideal experience. My only recommendation would be to have fans for the brides during dress fittings because my dress was so dang hot when I was getting it altered! Thats the only recommendation, everything else was stress-free! I was very very happy with the way my dress turned out, fit, and got numerous compliments on it on my wedding day. Thank you!
Awesome experience with Kathy tonight. Made a stressful time in my life much better by being so nice to work with!
Will NOT go back horrible customer service, horrible tailoring and horrible all around. I was in a bridal party of 5 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen. EVERYTHING bridal gown, tuxes (for fathers, ushers, groomsmen everyone), and all bridesmaid dresses were rented or purchased from here. That said I was first taken back that none of the bridemaids received a discount like the groomsmen did on their tuxes because the entire wedding party was shopping under one roof; but thats not here nor there. My BIGGEST issue was that 2 months before the set wedding date the wrong bridesmaid dresses arrived!! It turned out that someone had manually inputted the dresses wrong in the system resulting in us receiving ballgown length dresses vs. cocktail length. The correct dresses in the mean time had become discontinued, so our options were limited as we knew it. Yet they bullied the bride into accepting their mistake by telling her she wouldnt be able find new dresses and get them in by the wedding date anywhere so she had to deal with the dresses that we were shipped. They advised the bride that she lucked out with their mistake because the dresses we were shipped were higher quality dress and it had a corset back. For that reason they didnt believe a discount should be issued for their mistake. They simply said that they would rip apart the dresses and shorten them to the desired length (easier said than done with the rouching, layering and lack of material in some areas). All other alterations us bridesmaids would need to pay out of pocket (I as well as 3 of the other bridesmaids needed to get our dress taken by 2 sizes because the corset back fit differently than a zipper would have). It wasnt until our second fitting that we learned our tailor was in over her head with the alterations the store claimed she could easily do. The tailor sweet at first hugged me saying thank god they work After recommending the length needed to be adjusted there was a attitude change saying she had other things to do and she only did 2 alterations no more (not like it was their fault or anything we were in this position or anything). Finally it came to the day to pick up the tuxes and dresses. The Tuxs seemed to fitting some of the groomsmen wrong (being too short) so we had to request that all the guys try on their tux and bring it in for adjustments, if they had not tried it on at pick-up. The Bridesmaids dresses stitching started to come undone on ALL the dresses the day of the wedding. I had my personal tailor look at my dress and she said the fabric was pulled too tight and it was evident that they were struggling to work with the dress given the lack of material due to the way it was cut and designed to be a ballgown length dress. This Store was a battle every step of the way...
