I went to get an oil change here today. The service was pretty quick (35 minutes) and best of all, when I got back there was no hard sells for expensive services. They offered me a few items that I might need coming up but didnt try to sell me anything unnecessary. Highly recommend this place so far based on that last part alone.

Professional, friendly, and fast! Highly recommend this shop, it’s hard to find a mechanic you’ll stick with in LA, especially as a woman with limited car knowledge, but I’ll certainly return next time my car needs work done. Fairly priced and transparent

Highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Went above and beyond duties to a total stranger. TRUSTWORTHY, great service and job well done. I came in from a Groupon oil change and looks like they “changed” my life instead. I am new to LA, so what luck it was to find the perfect mechanics. I just bought a vintage Mercedes with oil leaks. Was quoted over $3K to fix from another shop in San Diego. Excel fixed the main problems for much less. Ricky is the owner and Alberto manages the office portion- both are professional and friendly. They were frank with which problems were urgent and which could wait. Price quotes and labor costs are very TRANSPARENT and reasonable— what more could you ask for?

My family and I have been going to Excel for about 2 years now and we have been so pleased with their services. Ricky is a very genuine, patient, and honest mechanic and his team is very helpful. Recently, I’ve been having trouble with my tire sensor and they have been patiently looking for different replacements and helping me each time the sensor was off. I’m thankful that I can count on a honest and genuine auto shop. Definitely recommended! Also, they do special services on old cars and luxury vehicles that I always see and it’s very cool.

It’s hard to find a good place and especially as a girl that doesn’t know a lot about cars most people want to take advantage of you. I brought my car in for a breakdown repair. Alberto worked with my extended warranty company and fought for the repairs I needed. They provided me a loaner car and even washed my car when they were done. Ill be back!

I couldnt happier with these guys. I came for an oil change, much cheaper than everything else local. I also had an issue with my windshield wiper fluid tank leaking out for some unknown reason so I asked if they would check it when underneath. They found the issue (cra ked tube I think) and fixed it for me... For free. This is a situation where they could have told me anything and gotten me to pay whatever, but didnt. Hard to find a good service place that you can trust but now I know you can trust Excel. Very happy to find them!

I was well taken care of...all repairs done reasonably & quickly. Great guys who explained & showed me everything. I will always go back to them, and I already have & you should too!
