Tomorrow is my late father in laws birthday. I gifted my husband Richard York (jr) a bottle of his dads favorite Lagavulin drink and an old bag I remade with leather. We found Richard Srs old duffel bag few months ago that had his Air Force dog tag on it. It was dirty, moldy and torn. STAY AWAY FROM THESE HACKS, THIEVES & SWINDLERS - should change their name to HAX leather.I am a seasoned Art Director and have things custom made every week of my life. Went in to Max Leather on a friday to get a custom belt made, for a VERY specific client project, WITH A RUSH DEADLINE. Spoke, at length to Max, gave him a detailed sketch of EXACTLY what I wanted. He was nice. He & I reviewed every single detail & dimension on my sketch. I paid a $50 cash deposit. I came in the next day the belt was ready. And the only thing they got right was the color. And I had given them the vinyl so they couldnt have screwed that up anyway.THEY ARE HACKS. THEY CANT FOLLOW SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS.I insisted to speak with Max. His incompetent clerk called him. He said they could fix it. I passed the phone back to her & she spoke to him and hung up. She said it could be fixed in two days. THAT WAS PAST MY RUSH DEADLINE.I decided to take the belt & have it fixed from an other leathersmith. I asked her to have him call me ASAP.She was supposed to run my credit card for $100. SHE WAS SUCH AN IDIOT THAT SHE RAN MY CARD FOR $150 THREE TIMES IN A ROW.I have now been charged $500 for a $150 belt that is totally wrong. I had to pay someone else to fix it.I emailed him twice and have called four times. He has not got back me yet and its been four days.I am shocked and appalled that anyone can run a business like this. I am disputing all of the charges with my credit card company.
