Its always been great experience at Golden Vision. I have been there for a couple of times. Kathy was so efficient in arranging appointment and explaining details about insurance (this is important to me since I had some bad experience at other places). Tracy helped me pick my glasses. Shes extremely patient and tasteful.

This is a review for their service. They are very attentive when they want to bait you, before you become their customer. Once you are their customer, forget about the service. It’s none existing. My daughter was prescribed an eye drop that costs more than 300 dollars, about 2 months ago. We paid for everything on-site. We were promised to have it delivered within a week. Now 2 months later, we still haven’t got the eye drop. I tried to call many times, it always switches to the answer machine, so I left messages, no use. I also tried to text msg them, still no response. It’s technically impossible to reach them.

Terrible experience. Will not recommend for kids below 5.Today I visited Golden Vision for eye checkup of my 4 years old kid. I had very bad experience. In the room, where the eye exam was going on, the lights were blinking continuously. Initially I thought may be its part of exam. But when I asked Doctor about this, her answer shocked me :DDoctor replied, No no its not part of exam. Actually the light is out of order.Do you think that a 4 year old kid can see the small letters in the blinking lights?The exam took around 2 hours. By that time my kid is frustrated with multiple time checkup. Also not feeling well as some eye drops were given to him as part of the exam.Somehow doctor decided the prescription.Now we were there for the sales person to select a glass for my kid. No one was there to help. One receptionist tried to help. In the mean time, the sales person came with so much attitude.We tried 2-3 frames and one got fit my kid. Then we asked if there are any options in that size or not. The sales person replied, NOOOO... You have to take this one and started to make the invoice ready.Now I was super angry and asked to talk to the higher management. One lady came and heard all the problems. She apologized for the problems and asked the doctor to do the exam again in a different room. But after exam started, my kid was not feeling good and out of frustration, started crying. So we came out of the exam room.What I understood, may be they are OK for big kids and adults, but they dont have infrastructure for small kids or toddlers as all the instruments (the exam glasses with different power glasses) they were using were very large in size and not for kids.

Jake helped me repair my glasses really quickly. It was a great experience. I may come back check out their framed and do an eye exam to see how it is. But if you have a pair of broken glasses its the place to go.

I had a great experience at Golden Vision Optometry yesterday! Dr. Tsang was friendly, helpful and efficient during my Ortho-K renewal checkup. Tiffany also thoroughly answered questions we had about Ortho-K and gave us detailed information about our options and what our insurance covered. Id highly recommend choosing Golden Vision.

Went to Golden Vision with families to get some glasses. We were greeted and helped by Owen. He was very patient and showed us many selections the store has. He explained the different options we can get and what insurance covers. Very nice visit and didnt feel getting upsell. Highly recommended.

The representative Randy is very nice and helped to repair my glasses without a charge. The inside setting is very nice. They have many different kinds of popular frames. I would recommend this store and will definitely come back again for my glasses needs.

My go to place for buying frames. They carry high end brands, which many other optometrists do not. Fantastic service.

I highly recommend Dr Pearl Shih. Dr Shih is knowledgeable, patient, detailed, and genuinely cares about her patients. She was able to help with my vision needs. I have seen a couple of optometry doctors and Dr Shih is the best in my experience.

Randy helped me with the new glasses. It is pretty. Love it! And last week, I accidentally fell to ground and Randy fix the frame of my glasses for me. Thanks for all you help!

Their eye exam was seamless but I had a terrible experience in ordering glasses from them. I got a call from them 2 weeks after ordering telling me that the frames were available and told to come at a specific time to the store. On going to the shop I was told only the frames had been received from manufacturer and the process of fitting them with lenses had not even started. For context they had the exact same model in a different color available in the store so all the fitting could have been done at the time of order. I am now being asked to wait another 3 weeks to get the glasses. A total of minimum 5 weeks and 3 store visits to get a pair of glasses!

First time getting my eyes checked and it was a very pleasant experience. A little nervous about all the new machine getting close to my eye, but it was very convenient. Had a consultation with Dr. Shih after all the tests. She was really thorough when explaining my results and very patient with me-answering all my questions.

We bought a pair of prescription glasses 2 months back and one of the glasses got off the frame. We went for repairs today (2/14/2021). The customer service is pretty bad. We waited for 15 mins and then asked them how much time it would take for them to complete the repairs. The individual spoke very rudely. She said it can take anywhere from 5 mins to an hour and we better be patient if we want the service. Obviously wed no choice this time. But we vow to never return to this place again.

This is absolutely the worst shopping experience I ever had! Don’t go this place unless you wanna be offended by the rude staff and get a terrible service which ruins your day.On arrival, one sales handed me a tray and told me to feel free to place the selected or tried frames in it. She was busy with another customer at the meantime so she went away for a while. Then from nowhere came a male staff. He yelled at me to not touch the glasses on the display shelf with a loud and impolite tone. I was quite upset and offended by his rude attitude. It is more like towards a thief rather than customer. Even worse, he took away the tray of the glasses I already selected to buy, without asking or noticing me at all. My friend and I was totally shocked by his unreasonable rudeness that we can’t believe this is a qualified sales who understands how to treat and serve the customer properly and correctly, at least respectfully.So in the end we just walked away. There is no reason to spend a dime in this terrible place. We will never ever shop here for sure.

I had terrible experience with this store. I ordered lenses replacement for my sun glasses but they got them with 4 circular lasermarks that distort vision when you look through them. The most frustrating is that I promised me to redo it and I had to come back THREE times to find that lasermarks were still there. What a waste of time! Why cant they check glasses on their own and make sure they are done well?

The doctors are very nice but this place is a disaster. so poorly run and managed. rude staff.I called in advance to give and verify my insurance information and when i arrived, they still took more than one hour to verify insurance and the front desk rep just look so lost.Then i placed my contact lenses order and was told it will be ready in two weeks. one month went by, i called. apparently, they never placed the order.....!!!!Go somewhere else and save your time and frustration.

The customer service is so RUDE!!! I had some questions about my new pair of glasses. But they gave me a scene which made me look like someone looking for troubles... I felt really uncomfortable 😕.

While I didnt receive my examination here, I did pick out my frames. The inside is new and modern with a large selection of glasses & sunglasses. Their customer service was very good, especially when it came to Grace. She made sure to explain all the available changes/add-ons you can make to your lenses and what they did, such as making them slightly thicker, purplish tint, etc. All of this was at a good deal. Id recommend and can see myself returning!Edit: One of my lenses had popped out and Grace conveniently fixed them within a short period of 2 days after I walked in to ask for them to be repaired. She even included additional cleaning cloths when I came to pick them up. Definitely appreciate the hospitality of Grace and this place in general.

One of the nose pieces fell off of my glasses and while I wasnt an existing customer they took the time to quickly repair them. I was greeted warmly and Ah San brought them back cleaned with a new set of nose pieces. She mentioned that generally they should charge for this service but she said consider it her pleasure and have a good day.

I bought 3 pairs of high end glasses and sunglasses from this place. Each time I was there, I got undivided attention and Owen Lee was the one who helped me. He was so knowledgeable and professional. I love this place and found my new spot for glasses and sunglasses. The prices were amazing often more affordable than shopping online too. Highly recommend! Great Job Golden Vision!

I saved big money because of Grace Chens help! She helped me found a good pair of sunglasses and she fixed my broken reading glasses for no charge. Very nice and helpful!

Went to get contact fitting three weeks ago. First follow up requires them to order contact lens trial that fits me better. They told me they will contact me when the trial is ready. Wait for almost two weeks and did not hear back from them. Call them twice to follow up. On my second call, they told me the trial is ready. If I do not call them, i wonder how long else i need to wait. Almost a month just to get my contact lens prescription. Not efficient at all.

A friend of my wife’s recommended Golden Vision of Cupertino to us. What I received at this capacious and well-appointed place exceeded my expectations. Dr. Stephanie Tsang is an experienced specialist with admirable expertise. She knew her job so well it saved me the trouble to explain what I was not good at. With respect to prescription, I’m the sort of person who would be more perplexed about which lens power would best suit me if I were given more to try on. Instead of letting me go through too many detailed choices with confusion, she chose the lens with the right power for me with professional confidence.In fact, all the staff is polite, helpful, and proficient. They replaced my old frame with lens of the best prescription and made my new pair of glasses look like brand new with new nose pads. My thanks to everyone helping me get my best pair of glasses.

This store simply sucks. Some guy sold me $700+piece about 2 years ago. Then they screwed up several times. I was tolerant enough to settle down for $520 piece. Then the transition was not working properly. The frame cracked. The film or glass scratches. I was tolerant enough and went to see if they can help repair. They said It was out of warranty. The problem is nobody told me about the warranty when they did the upsale. When I asked them to find the warranty info in the contract, they could not find it and said it was implied. Jesus, you asked somebody to spend $500+ on something w/o telling them warranty info? If I knew there was warranty I would go back in time and got it fixed. Then the store manager tried to find another reason not to help. She said it was the lens that was damaged, not the film. Only the film had warranty, not the lens. But dont they have common sense? The film sits on top of the lens. How can the lens get damaged w/o the film damaged? The sales manager there by the name of Randy Wen was particularly lousy. I would agree with one gentleman here, if I could give them 0, I would. All they care is to suck as much as possible from your pocket and push off as much responsibilities as possible. Strongly suggest not to do business with them.

Golden Vision is great. The doctor and all the golden pro team highly responsive, they do not try to sell you things you do not need, like cataract surgery and when you get your new glasses, you actually have improved vision. Great group of people,.. thanks.

Dr. Wong and Grace were great in helping me pick out glasses, solid service, and they spent as much time as I needed throughout the entire process!

Their lens is high quality. I had trouble with glasses that doesnt work well for me with bi-focu. Golden Visions less is much better. It is the thinnest, and they can do transition glass that is 100% clear when in door.

It took long time for the lens to arrive due to the new year rush time. But overall customer service was quick and satisfication.

I booked 10:30 AM appointment and they said the process would take 40 mins. I arrived at 10:20AM and kept waiting until 11:10AM but did not see the doctor because “they are seeing other patients”. I then had to leave with no progress but a waste of time.

Dr. Tseng is a great optometrist that left me and my partner with no questions about our eye health. As a bioengineer, I was able to ask her questions about my eye health that she was able to answer very satisfactorily. Eg: what causes that thinning in the retina (in most cases)? The more the eye muscles stretch (higher the prescription) the more we see these muscles (and retinal sheath) thin in this area. She will be happy to answer you about any concerns you might have with your vision health.As for Grace, in the vision care center, she was very detailed in her paperwork for our frames/glasses prescription. Not only was she able to suggest very appropriate frames for our styles (we ended up choosing every frame that she had suggested), but she was also able to help us decide on the best lenses for our needs. Her detailed work and in-depth dedication to her clients are qualities that you could only hope for in your vision care provider.

The string of my glasses broke. An old lady in the store refused to help me fix it; I guess because she couldnt make much money out of it. I went to the Dr Slater optical next door instead; their staff were super nice and fixed my glasses quickly and free of charge.

Very nice staff. I’m here for a quick exam and glasses and they delivered. This is a great place if you want to get Oakley, Prada, named-brand frames. Otherwise, I will go for costco.

Owen is patient and thorough. He consulted Dr. Tsang to fix a progressive lens issue which was difficult to explain, but made the new glasses uncomfortable. Dr. Tsang is detail oriented and traced the root cause of the problem. Valerie went the extra mile to ensure that satisfaction meant true comfort with the new prescription glasses. Its hard to see such a dedicated team in retail stores these days. This is my fourth pair of glasses over the past several years.

Wearing night contacts is worth it and very helpful if you do not want glasses. It also prevents your vision from becoming worse if you wear it daily. The optometrists here are very friendly and eager to help you.

I wish I could give zero stars if possible. This is THE WORST optometrist I could find in my life. I came here to do the eye exam for my contact lens on March 25th, 2015. The prescription I got is supposed to be valid for two years. However, I just figured out this optometrist refused to support the validity of my prescription before the expiration day. Not only that, somehow they made my prescription for glasses when I only came there for contact lens! I understand people need to get profits from their business. But could you please stop being so greedy and become a little bit professional?

WORST EXPERIENCE!We were lured in to get orthok lenses for my son, but it turned out to be a big mistake. This place paid to get rated 5 stars. Our experience here was terrible.Dr. Wen did a sloppy job with my sons eye exam. When she asked which one he could see better, one or two, she rushed though it and didnt give him enough time to respond. I dont think the final power she gave him is accurate. After we got orthok lenses, even though Dr. Wen repeatedly told us everything is fine, my son still has problem seeing things at school. How can that be fine? Dr. Wen has no idea what she is doing.Besides, Dr. Wen was cold and distant most of the time and didnt instruct us how to put the lenses in, how to remove them or how to care for them.Poor customer service, poor eye exam. I dont recommend this doctor to anyone I know!

They have you check in on an iPad, and I guess this results in them not acknowledging you when you arrive. I had to approach the receptionist after a few minutes to figure out what the protocol was. It took 45 min from the time I arrived to my appointment (just an eye exam), to the time I left. 10 minutes were spent on the actual exam, and the rest was just waiting around. I felt like the exam was very rushed, and not thorough. I been to other optometrists before, and this was by far the worst.

Owen is professional and knowledgeable. I’m satisfied with my first pair of glasses with Golden Vision.

They seem to have the biggest selection of eyewear in the area! They don’t rush you and you can try on as many styles as you like. simple, easy process and not too much paperwork :-) nice people!

Unprofessional and untrustworthy, mostly interested in more profits. In the exam room, I was told everything was working well and no prescription change was necessary; then ten minutes later when I read through my bill for fresh lenses, my prescription suddenly increased to the next level which requires a higher cost/surcharge.

Nice and Friendly Doctors . The other staff were also patient and nice while I selected my lenses. They dint push me to buy something like many other Optometry places.

Do not go to this place! They dont know how to make glasses. I visited this store, picked a frame, and 5 weeks later, they called me telling me my glasses was ready for pick up. I was so surprised to see they gave my a pair of glasses that was so distorted, and the edges of the lenses were cut so rough. Worst vision place ever!You may ask me why I visited this place. Because of the yelp reviews, I seriously suspect that the reviews at yelp was made up.

Super snotty with customers. If you want a high school kid talk down to you in poor english, this is the place for you. Some of their frames looked flat out fake.. I hope VSP investigates this place. Go find a different VSP provider.

For two years, I have been on a delightful journey with Golden Vision and all its doctors, nurses, and sales associates. And by all, I mean ALL. I literally have the worst luck ever with vision so I really have seen EVERY doctor at least once and become pretty familiar and comfortable with all the nurses and sales associates that work here. They have always provided a welcoming, caring,and friendly environment for me. From learning to wear ortho k the first time, to picking out a pair of frames, to trying out different soft contact lense brands, they have always been very supportive and kind.Out of all the wonderful doctors I’ve seen, I have the closest relationship with Dr. Julia Wen. Due to my astigmatism in one eye, my vision cannot be easily corrected through ortho k. However, ortho k is the most convenient method of seeing clearly for me, so Dr. Wen was and still is very determined, passionate, and patient with helping me find the right fit. I went through probably about five lenses before finally finding the right one. Any other doctor or vision place might have given up and told me to wear frames, but Dr. Wen persevered and used everything in her power and knowledge to make sure I could see clearly AND comfortably. She truly cares about her patients’ vision and well-being, no matter how much time or effort it takes. None of the other doctors at Golden Vision fall short to this statement either.Whatever it is you’re looking for - new frames, a check up, contacts - I highly recommend Golden Vision. Speaking from first hand experience, they give their patients and customers nothing but the best service and care!

Dr. Julia Wen is very unprofessional and rude. She was so hurried during my eye exam that I couldnt trust the prescription she gave me.She was not friendly at all and doesnt have a good professional ethics. Also the way she looked at me kind of creep me out. She looked at me from head to heal and I felt she was trying to judge me about something. Overall, she has a very weird personality and the eye exam was a very unpleasant experience.
