Literally my favorite place in the whole world, it is so sad that it is leaving. This place made highland park village such a vibe!!

I love this spot! They have a great bakery and deli and had lots of tables to sit and eat and hang out for a bit. I planned on doing more shopping while in the area, but it was pouring rain, so I kept coming back here after shopping at a few stores around it and would grab more food and wait for the rain to subside. The staff is so friendly!

Great spot for coffee, people watching, and enjoying the weather outside. Will def be back!

Love the cute little style and their coffee. Be sure to dress up because there are a lot of uppity people that will judge your book cover. Menu for coffee is on the opposite side of the place you think it should be on and the layout takes a few minutes to adjust to. Servers are not great at helping with menu options if you are not on the correct side. Which, no one tells you anything about.

Cool place to study and catch up with friends. Get a bottle of wine there and they will open it and give you wine glasses to drink with. The study area upstairs is lacking but the seats out front is where this place shines.

I didn’t have an experience because they closed their coffee shop 15 minutes before they actually closed. Trying to celebrate a bride to be and drove all the way there after calling in an order just to have them call me back and say they were unable to because they closed 15 their coffee machine minutes early.

Every time I go there I feel the employees are not courteous. They act as they are doing a favor to you. The situation is worst when you ask for instance for an extra drops of milk in your cortado coffee. Once the barista gave me an explanation about the cortado etc meanwhile reluctantly adding few drops of extra milk. They do not show happiness at all.

Coffee is great here. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The matcha latte is also really good.

Awesome location inside the Highland Park Village complex. Relaxed environment, fast casual dining options and the staff are relatively friendly. They have great food and drink options, a nice patio to enjoy and the clientele are generally also very respectful.

Good coffee spot with an elevated bodega attached. Get a coffee or pick something quick up while youre shopping/eating in highland Park village.

Just received a reply from Royal Blue. Bravo for the responsiveness and information. I have them one more star for their proactive response. Nevertheless I would make sure that the bakery suppliers live up to the quality we expect. (Updated). As often I take after the fact pictures. Royal Blue is a great place to sit for a coffee and watch the scenery. On the café side, not so great. For some reason, and contrary to the allure of the establishment, the croissants and viennoiseries leave much to be desired. Often not fresh and weak on stock. No one runs out of croissants at 9am. I think that they have a great potential but the attention to details to live up to their name and location is weak.

I strongly urge anyone w half a brain in their head to stop patronizing Royal Blue Coffee. Masks are still require. Absurd.

Every Convenience Store in the World should be like this. Fortunately Highland Park has this one. They seem to do everything perfect from a sidewalk cafe to a coke to go.

Sweet little neighborhood grocery in Highland Park Village. Very nice wine selection. Narrow aisles for canned and packaged groceries. Quaint cafe for lunch, light dinner, or after dinner dessert. Fabulous coffee served.

Love this place for early weekend mornings! Relaxed and welcoming atmosphere with fantastic coffee and phenomenal breakfast tacos. Sitting outside on a Sunday morning with our dog is the highlight of our week every time!

Very nice store and Cafe. The service was a bit slow and there was definitely a crowd. All in all it was a good stop for coffee and a few free magazines to flip through.

Plenty of seating and wifi available if you want to get some work done on the patio. Ive been coming here since I was in school studying for mid-terms, now Ive even closed a few deals here and treat it as a good luck stop. Valet in the village is always suggested

Great coffee shop on the inside. Also a fun spot to find a bottle of wine inside and sit on the patio when the weather is nice. They have a good variety from $15-$100+. I highly recommend a cheese plate as well if you’re hungry

I just bought dry salmon and gritty roasted baby turnips (I think they forgot to wash them first before roasting.) and turmeric carrots.Surely I wasn’t the only kumquat that purchased this nasty stuff today?They do have great wines though!

Spectacular Coffee / Grocery Shop with Wine and other tastings. Amazing service and spectacular flavor in our coffee. Best hand made coffee I have had in years. Will be making this a weekend treat for sure. Love the atmosphere and all the posh shopping and ambiance in the area. Love it!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I go here for lunch probably twice a week. A little known fact by the locals is that you can bring your dog with you! I just LOVE THAT!

This place is gold. Great food, and selection of wine. They have perfected the grocer/convienice store concept. Its like they have a crystal ball and know exactly what you need. Huge fan and must stop in Dallas. They have 3 locations and adding one close to home in Bishop Arts District.

Yes, it is a bit overpriced. However, this grocery store has a lot of items that you cannot get anywhere else. I hate to love it but I do. I come here to grab up the items I cannot find at my local Whole Foods. It is small but packed with so many great items. Definitely worth checking out. You will find something for sure that will keep you coming back.

If you live nearby or are frequently in the area, its a convenient place to get some quality products with a friendly staff (just the staff, though. Many customers are snotty at best). That being said, on the scale of grocery stores it is a huge disappointment. The produce selection is practically non-existent (with a literally non-existent meat selection) and what they do have is easily acquired at almost any neighborhood grocer. There is a small selection of high end and organic packaged food, but small being the key. The deli and coffee shop are the main focus of the store. The food and coffee selection was decent.In short, its more of a deli or coffee shop with a convenience store attached than it is a grocery store. If you at all enjoy cooking or a variety of fresh food, just go to a Kroger or Whole Foods. This store being called a grocery is a gross misrepresentation. Its a convenience store. An expensive (several of my regular Whole Foods purchases were almost twice the price here) convenience store. If youre expecting a real grocery store, this gets 1 star. If you want the Whole Foods equivalent of a 7-11, look no further.

Visited here on a Saturday morning in November. It felt like it was everyone’s Saturday morning tradition to get something from the efficient coffee bar. I felt like I was in another world. There was a beautiful floral shop which featured Avant Gardens by Todd and a wine section. -@ChloGotFlo

Now I didnt buy any groceries but I did have the food and I love it the sandwich I had was very good and the coffee was delicious

Love the concept. 7-11 on steroids! Stop here often during bike rides for a little break. Unlike 7-11 though some serious point off sale training is needed. Royal Blue is super friendly and slow and 7-11 is super fast and indifferent. A balance would be magical. Great place and it beats having a 7-11 in the Highland Park Village!!!

Stumptown cafe Americano is prepared with right amount of crema and it tastes great at 9.9earthy qnd .1 fruity. breakfast tacos are great. my favorite is vaquero

There is extra seating upstairs where it is usually quieter if you wish to study. The place gets busy in the late afternoons, and drinks can be pretty expensive. That being said, theres a wide variety of options and a beautiful view.

Love stopping here on the way to work for the great coffee and breakfast tacos. Its always quick and its all so gooood. Plus if you need to pick up any groceries they have it all. Cant wait for the downtown location to open.

I love RBG!!! The staff is so friendly. The food selection is impressive but a tad expensive. I always get the vegetable grill cheese and it is really good. The store has always been clean. The outside tables are nice. I hope the Preston road construction project ends soon because they are mucking up the atmosphere outside. My only complaint, and why I reduced it by 1 star, is that RBG put up a sign for all those individuals who use the tables inside that are clearly marked, NO COMPUTER USAGE. Additional seating upstairs for the computer users, but they won’t go up there. No one at RBG enforces the rule. You might as well take the sign down.

Ive passed Royal Blue many times and this was my first time in. Aesthetically, its cute. I didnt see prices on a lot of items but grabbed a few pre-packaged goods, among them Tarragon chicken salad, California chicken salad, tortellini salad, and what turned out to be a $6 rice crispy treat (yikes!). As it turns out, all have been bland, missed the mark, and underwhelming. Tarragon was a terrible choice for the chicken salad and the California chicken salad has apples and grapes but also, Thyme, which does not go well. All around disappointed and feel like I threw $50 away.

The food selection is fantastic and is a great cafe to sit and work. However the best part is the wine selection which is brilliantly selected and hosted by Christina who is lovely, enthusiastic, incredibly knowledgeable and excellent at recommending wines at any price point.

Got there near seven, it wasnt very crowded. the service here is above par. kinda of like a restaurant in los angeles i loved to visit.

Cool layout, good grocery-cafe combination, pricey in things you can find much cheaper elsewhere, coffee average, we tried a sweet, it tasted as if it was created in the prehistoric times ...Nice for spending time reading or working (WiFi included) while enjoying a coffee but only that ...

Cute little gorvwry store right on the corner of highland park shopping center. Not much of a selection but they have a good mixture of items and will have what youre looking for but perhaps not the brand you might want. Theres also a little sanwhich area where they make it fresh. A nice selection of natural sodas and flowers if wanted to pop in to get something quick for a date night or display in your home. I loved the vibe, very chic and quiet.
