This place has no price list showing because they make them up as they go along. I asked the price of a jalapeño croissant & it was $3,80. Then I pointed to the one without jalapeños and said, “this little thing is $3.80?” She said, “$2.30.” It was the first time I had ever been in there so she did not recognize me. I just went ahead and got a chocolate plain donut with sprinkles on top and it was $1.50. I said you’re kidding. She said,”Everything go up.” So I got a chocolate donut with sprinkles on top. It was $1.50! For one. I Thought that was high And then after I took one bite I threw it away. It wasn’t even that good!! Rip off!!!
We just moved to the area and realize this is one of two local donut shops close to us now. The donuts are pretty okay the sausage kolaches are a little smaller than were used to but still pretty okay and good. The lady at the counter was very friendly though and very sweet to me and my family. I would come back
The donuts were almost like they used to be 20 years ago fresh hot fulfilling I think because of the location the price is ridiculous. Im referring to Southern Maid Donuts in Casa Linda Shopping Center.
This has always been my favorite donuts. Had some glazed from Casa Linda Bakery this morning. Was good but doughy, not light like the ones I use to go to near Bishop Arts District.
Reliable, tasty, always excellent!
Not only the best donuts and kolaches, but the best service too! The owners always greet us with their smiles. They make sure everything is clean during this pandemic. Going back again!
I went this morning to try their donuts and was so disappointed. I heard they have really good donuts but mine taste like yesterday.
Donuts are great! Pigs in a blanket were pretty doughy.
Always the best service. I call in my large orders and they always have the order ready to go, once I arrive. Bonus: He helps bring the boxes to the car if he’s able to step away briefly.
Best donuts ever and best service. She knows our names and even has our order ready for us when we walk in the door!!!!
Classic donut shop with great service!
Loved this place from the first taste. The staff was helpful and kind. This place has an awesome atmosphere.
Southern Maid have the best tasting donuts and this location does not disappoint. My 87 year old dad only likes Southern Maid donuts, so I was happy to find this location so close to home. The store was spotless. The couple that owns it are very friendly and efficient. I was in and out of there in 5 minutes!
Pretty weak over all. The donuts no matter what you get are doughy and kinda odd. The icing on the cinnamon roll melted off for some reason. I mean its 50 degrees outside and it became a puddle of clear sugar in the bag.Super weird. I dont even know what to make of it. Wont be coming back.
Good service, pricey but well worth it. excellent donuts.
Definitely worth a return trip. This place has a cool atmosphere. They have so many good reviews for a reason.
Tasty donuts and sausage rolls and great service. The Auntie is so nice and friendly!
Every time i go there, im greeted with a smile. The couple there is ALWAYS so nice. It depends on my location but, i have and will drive 10 miles out of my way for these VERY DELICIOUS DONUTS
Tried a few shops down the road, this place was the best. If you want novelty donuts go somewhere else. These are real and stayed good longer than the others.
Update: open for business. Great place to stop on the way to work four simple, yeasty donuts. Cash only! Delish! Closed for renovations.
Amazing donuts (kolaches especially) and the service is so amazing, would definitely recommend checking it out
This is just a southern maid knock off.. Im from Louisiana where the real southern maid is, Im definitely not impressed and I urge others, if your looking for the REAL SM go to Louisiana. The donuts are forever fresh and magical. I dont know how this place got 4 stars, you people have nooo taste buds. Plus its overpriced. Donuts arent suppose to make your stomach hurt.
That old lady couldn’t even take a payment over the credit card. Pathetic
Friendly staff, classic selection, tasty and reasonably priced.
It was mid-morning no reason for donuts to be cold and undesirable but thats what they were especially a simple thing like donut holes you would think that would be easy but they were so old you can practically throw them against the wall and bounce them off or break a hole in the wall I was not impressed very unusual for Southern Maid Donuts they were one of my favorites but not anymore disgusting
Tasty. However, when she said 2 min wait for pigs in a blanket it turned into a 8 min.
Hands down the best apple fritters Ive ever had. The blueberry donuts are pretty strong as well.
Open till noon and the best donuts in the area.
GREAT GREAT GREAT !!!!
:) gooood
