I love this shop. I got a cute tea set here and a pretty shawl with a neat back story about where it’s from or who made it or whatever. I really love coming to this shop and getting something when I’m having a museum day.
I saw several beautiful vases in their windows as I was leaving the Nasher Museum, so I walked in.I wasnt greeted verbally or otherwise--no eye contact, hello, or anything--but I continued to shop their wonderful collection of pottery, linens and books. The employee by the door seemed to be busy with another gentleman, so I wasnt offended. I later heard the man behind the counter (who failed to acknowledge me earlier) tell his associate that I just wondered in off the street, as he told him to keep an eye on me. After that I felt so uncomfortable I left with nothing, not even a salutation from the now completely-free employee. For this reason, they deserve no stars, but, because of their collections, they get two stars. Their assumptions about me will, Im sure, also extend to others, so just expect to feel unwelcome.
I really like this store.
Very good sales
