Dont bother. They dont want your money. Horrible customer service. Mask mandate, but they wont provide one. If you are going to turn away good customers, have masks ready. Lame as EFF!!!!

Very nice unique gift and card store. Employees could work on being more friendly to customers when they walk in the door. But dont let that stop you from getting that awesome one-of-a-kind gift.

Such a great store for thoughtful gifts. Fantastic selection of candles in varying price ranges, great coffee table books, interesting body care and lotion products and a fantastic selection of clever greeting cards. Who needs Papyrus when you have a great local spot like this. On top of all that the service is flawless and they even do gift wrap for you with a selection of cool wrapping paper.

One of my favorite places for cards, gifts and accessories—they always have interesting things (I never leave empty-handed). All the people who work here are very friendly and helpful. Their gift-wrapping saves my life—beautiful paper and ribbon/bow selection.

The single greatest upscale gift shop in the South. Let me be clear, this is not the place to look for a sale, yet they do have days that their are discounts, but this is where you go to find treasures that you indeed unstand that you get what you pay for. The glassware alone is simply stunning. One of a kind pieces that works make entertaining incredibly special. There are beautiful candles, jewelry, robes, books, kids items and even greeting cards. Just really really nice versions. A Dallas must visit

I live one block away from Nuvo and I cant tell you what a lifesaver it is to have a high-end decor and gift shop right down the street... I can go to at last minute for amazing unique gifts!

I would say this could be one of the greatest little upscale shops in the south. Exclusive pieces that your just wont find anywhere else. Can be a tad pricy but thats why youre there. The bar glass ware is simply incredible. The mens accessories, like bath items are first class and they have a small bit very unique baby gift selection thats just the perfect gift for the baby that had everything.

I wrote a negative review last week based on a very unfortunate misunderstanding. The owner took the time to explain in detail all the reasons for the confusion and apparent deception. I now am fully informed and entirely satisfied with the service and the outcome, and I see that there really was no deception or malice -- just unavoidable circumstances. High quality, thoughtfully curated collections of items to pamper yourself, spruce up your home, or commemorate a relationship. All occasions will be made a little more special with a gift to yourself or someone else from here.I could dive into their card racks and lose an hour (and a chunk of my wallet) easily. =)The service is always attentive, but not overbearing. Helpful to a fault and they even have a customer rewards program.Parking may be tough depending on the time of day of your visit. But, its worth circling the block to stop in here and see what youve been missing!

What was once a store filled with unique finds, fresh and special gifts, has now become a warehouse feel space with common blasé picture frames that can be found everywhere, the proverbial Michael Aram Knick knacks also to be found practically everywhere now, and the average nice, yet cliche “Nest” brand bath products all arranged in a sparse sad fashion. Run of the mill coffee table books that aren’t anything terribly unique, oh yes, and you can’t leave out the 2014 “le objet de arts” consisting of in original ceramic and glass items, some nondescript random jewelry, and some 1990’s glass “catch-all” trays with non ironic phrases printed on them by typical writers, and actors, etc.The Nuvo of yesteryear, was a bustling shop, that constantly had new artists pieces, even furniture and unique wall clocks, etc. It was THE place to go to find great host gifts, birthday gifts, and you would always find the perfect unique item for just about anyone of any age gender or lifestyle. Now if you go in April, you will see the same items in August. Yes, they do still carry a nice assortment of greeting cards, birthday cards, etc., just don’t expect to find a fabulous or unique gift to go along with it. The employees in this new era for Nuvo has also lost its luster. Don’t expect a lot of assistance unless you really push them to come out from behind there counter. My last stop in Nuvo proved that even since 2014/15 the employees have become as stale and useless as the dusty old coffee table books that everyone already owns that are on there little shelf in the store. I attempted to have items sent to someone and of the two employees working that day neither could figure out the computer. I was also the only customer in the store in the middle of the afternoon. As I should have assumed, they didn’t have the quantity of an item I needed, and after having to personally calling the manager on my own time weeks later, there still seemed to be a haziness of confusion and very little care nor manors.The reasons to go to Nuvo for myself and most of my friends are getting very few and far between. The skimpy selection, lackluster products and inadequate service staff have really taken away the appeal that once made this store a special place to find special gifts. At this point they should just downsize to an even smaller space and just call it “Nuvo…Card Shop!” I wish they could have kept it up, what they had going 10 years ago, but when the unique inventory, new products, employees and management slow down, so does the swing of their doors from customers and clients. At the rate of business, I don’t imagine they will be around for more than a few more years. Maybe we can hope for them to just wave the white flag, and admit defeat and simply open just a card shop. That’s about all that’s worth buying there anymore.Good Luck Nuvo.

I have been shopping at NUVO for over 2 decades. The ownership has remained the same since it first opened in 1988 and, though I do not(understandably) get to see the owners nearly as often as in years past, their interest in and affection for the store, their timely style, and dedication to exemplary customer service is pervasive and consistent. For those who have not made it in yet, do NOT miss the greeting cards! NUVO carries the most outstanding selection of cards in Dallas, everything from laugh-out-loud funny to works of art, along with wonderful candles, soaps, frames, jewelry from accomplished designers you will not see everywhere else, and countless beautiful and fun and unique gifts for all occasions. Shopping is low pressure and the owners, Jeff and Jon, and their Staff regularly welcome customers old and new for Champagne and treats to celebrate new designers, a holiday, to redeem bonus dollars accrued from purchases made throughout the year, or just because. Thank you Jeff and Jon and the Staff of NUVO for staying open all these years. You are the antithesis of online shopping and I am so so grateful. ANY holiday means a trip to NUVO for me so Ill be seeing you soon!P.S. Parking is a breeze with parking spaces just outside the door or via complimentary valet when the spaces are full. I have never experienced any difficulty whatsoever.
