Today a LOT of customers, mostly young men, are NOT wearing masks. They are also making no effort to stay socially distant. Employees have apparently been told to take no notice if this disregard for the safety of others.I was going to transfer my prescriptions to Safeway, but Rite Aid will get that business and Roth’s will be my grocery store.(Edit) Safeway has replied with the standard reply of how concerned for safety they are. I think that fake “highest priority” phrase is what they teach in college business programs these days. Who do they think they’re fooling? They are so concerned, it took negative reviews for them to notice that they have been ignoring state health orders! I mentioned it to an employee, who said they couldn’t do anything, but it was upsetting to them to have to work around so many unmasked customers. Even the little convenience store in Falls City will not allow unmasked people’s in the door; they offer to sell them a mask or the customer can leave.

I haven’t been to this Safeway recently but its been a year since I’ve been to this one I couldn’t help but notice a couple reviews people complaining that people aren’t wearing masks, According to the Constitution/Amendment 28 Us The People have the right to choose what would be best to put in Our bodies,weather You like to wear a mask or not,if You take the vaccine or not,medications, etc I support Your Business Dallas Safeway for supporting peoples rights on what they choose to put in they’re body:)PS Karens and Coolaid drinkersIf You want to wear a mask,take the vaccine,etc thats Your choice but don’t force people around You to do so Be respectful to other peoples choices, since You think Covid is so bad don’t come to Our Red States.

Safeway in Dallas show reckless disregard for the health and safety of customers. Manager wears shield with no face mask. When reminded that a shield does not prevent the spread of coronavirus, she indicated it prevents the inconvenience of foggy glasses. Thats right - dozens of Oregonians dying daily and shed rather prevent foggy glasses. (There are ways to prevent that AND wear a mask - duh.). Shelvers with masks under their chins just stare at customers walking by in masks. No concern. Ill take my business elsewhere.

Believe it or not this place has better prices on medicine than anywhere else in Dallas if insured. They even beat out Wal-Mart. Do your HW and price around before overpaying for meds. Good RX app is helpful too.

Safeway is good as always but check out is becoming a joke! There were four people waiting ahead of me at self-checkout for the clerk to come assist. I understand nobody wants to work these days but things are getting ridiculous

Great grocery store with tons of great quality fresh foods as well as a huge selection of packaged items. I get a email from them every week which shows the sale items which you can go and select which coupons you want to save to your account. It’s super easy to use and provides wonderful savings which I can always appreciate. It’s such a wonderful place to have so close to where I live. When the weather is nice outside I will walk so I can get outside and stretch my legs. It’s only a mile away so it’s a great little option that I have when it’s not raining. Safeway is a great place that I can save a lot of money at.

Sure would be nice if they cared enough to have a manager posted at the front door to tell people to wear their masks almost every time I go in there theres at least one person in that store walking around without a mask on because the people at the store cant do their jobs to protect you and your safety!!!!This is because none of the employees can say anything they have to wait for a manager to say something maybe they should hire more managers??!!Let us not even get into the bottle drop and how somebody at that stores location is putting stuff up so that people cant drop off their stuff at the bottle drop!!!!One of my pictures shows the table inside the bottle drop location the other picture shows the bottledrop employee not wearing his mask I have another picture of him illegally parked in the red zone!!!!!

8/29/21. Many people with no masks including employees. No attempt or effort put into masking. Absolutely do not feel safe and will need to go to Roth’s going forward.

I love the just4u savings and digital coupons that are posted around the store. The variety and quality of produce was awesome. The people who work there are amazing also. Oh and cant forget the yummy sushi, lol. My 4 year old loves the stuff!

Store is nice overall. I have found myself waiting more than 10 to 15 minutes for service at deli multiple times while there is 5 people helping with hot food area. Inconsistent products sometimes. Over all not a bad store for Dallas. Cashiers always friendly. Pharmacy is okay, but multiple times they have long lines and only 1 technician and 1 pharmacist on staff even during very busy times.

Friendly employees. Great atmosphere. No crazy crowded or anxious shoppers here. Prices are good if you know the ins and outs. Get a club card and take advantage of the just-for-you deals to get the best prices. So, I come to Safeway in Dallas daily. My son and I always go to Starbucks and get our drink to share while we shop. We get the same drink every single day. Every day and every person not only makes the drink differently, they also charge different prices. Because of this I have started going to the regular Starbucks instead of the Safeway kiosk. Today,we stopped at the kiosk and was charged almost $2 above the normal price and she didnt believe me when I said we buy this every day and just made the drink any way. I said fine and got the drink, trying to be nice. However, she didnt even make the drink right. It looked completely different than advertised and tasted horrible. Like it was sugar free. She also used sugar free whipped cream and didnt say anything when I asked and just ignored me and made the drink. So not only did I get charged more but the drink was so bad, even my child wouldnt drink it. Im just really disappointed and wish there was some consistency. Its about the 3rd time Ive had the same drink be so horrible that its not drinkable at all. I keep trying to give this kiosk the benefit of the doubt but I wont be coming back again. Super disappointing. Another wasted $7.50.

Checkers are always very friendly, all staff very helpful. Store is always clean and well stocked.

Terrible experience. Masks required sign said but half of those entering did not wear masks. Rude checkout female. A lady in produce was taking all the grapes out of their bags.....touching all. She worked hard at finding only perfect grapes. Yuck made me feel sick watching. No produce for me at your store.

Went to the bakery to get my birthday cake.. they have the best cakes ever.! In fact I had to get a second one as the first one was gone fast and I had no leftovers to share with my company coming over the next day. The cakes are moist and yummy. Need a cake at reasonable $$$ get one from them they do Wedding cakes too for those who are getting ready to get married. And for those who have a baby for birthday s.. they do smash cakes too.

Never, I mean NEVER enough checkout lanes open. Put in another self checkout bay if you dont have enough employees. Takes just as long or longer to check out then it does to shop!

Lots of sales. I was surprised they were almost completely out of coffee creamer. I went in for certain items. I bought those and more. It is a decent store. Not crowded and it was clean.

When we called and explained our problem she gave us a solution and by the time we drove back to the store she had them all ready to exchange. I shop here for the sale items. I have to be careful and check my receipt each time I check out to make sure they gave me the correct price. They misdirect the customer all the time when purchasing a sale item and half the time they dont have enough inventory for that sale item. Dont ask for a rain check (even tho it is an item they have all the time) since, oops, not available, sorry. Sure.

Cashiers at two check stands got into a loud fight regarding covid while I was the customer at the register

It is very convenient to have an express bottle drop center here. However when those bags get picked up once a week or so it seems then more trucks need to be sent out to this location. Literally I am pretty sure there is a birdy system going on to where when the truck shows up to collect everyone starts calling and texting and telling everyone the center is clear. I literally took a 20 minute trip to go back home to pick up 3 green bags of cans the center had literally just been emptied only to get there to the center being jam packed couldnt even drop them off. And this was after I found tables and chairs stacked up to prevent people from fully dropping off cans and bottles. Yes i did report it but this is getting ridiculous. Truly yhese express centers seem to steal more from people than they actually help.

Absolutely would love to never set foot in this store again but its the only grocery store in town. The slowest checkout lines ever and nobody calling in more checkers during a rush. Minimal varieties on so many things, one name brand and a ton of their brand. Ill be driving to the next town for my shopping unless I just need one item in a hurry.

Best customer service of all the Safeways in Salem/Keizer/McMinnville

We really just needed a few things while we were staying in Dallas, but we ended up going to Safeway more often than me thought! And oddly enough on theast trip to we looked around a little more and this Safeway had way cheaper prices on a lot of medicine than in Portland so that was nice... I will say though that we were sad about the beer/alcohol selection-- although there was plenty here the comparison in selection was not as vast. Also the pre-cut fruits/meats/veggies sections were not as vast as well. But thats okay, luckily our AirBnB had a full kitchen so we just bought everything un-cut (an inconvenience on vacation 😁 but not a deal breaker!!) I will say the only part that was bad was the wait times for checking out. That was a bit much. The last time we were there we just did self check out and saved ourselves like 15 minutes waiting in line.

Fairly concerning that one of the deli employees has “this mask is as useless as our governor” on their mask. someone serving food shouldn’t be so open over the fact that you probably don’t wear a mask outside of work and that you aren’t taking the pandemic seriously. you’re serving food to people and shouldn’t be bragging about the fact that you don’t care about coworker/customer health and well-being. work isn’t a place to air your anti-masking propaganda. the mask is to keep you and everyone around you safe, it’s not a political thing.

Fine, but definitely not friendly

We were there doing a large grocery shopping trip tonight (1-16-2021) at around 8 pm. Only the self-check lanes were open. Not sure what that was about because I saw at least 4 employees hanging about. Its very hard to self-check out a full cart of groceries (isnt there a 15-item limit?). There were many disgruntled customers. Please get more-responsible employees who actually want to help people and work there.

I love Safeway. I love there 5 dollar cinnamon rolls, always fresh. However, I love the Lucerne Dairy products even more. I Love saving and I love quality... Safeway has both covered.

I love Safeway I have a Safeway clip card and I tend to save a lot of money there although a lot of reviews or a lot of people think Safeway is expensive if you use your online app you can actually save quite a bit of money and save money on gas

Pretty good Safeway. Like most of the chain it’s a bit overpriced compared to some competitors for the same item. It’s a clean store and they are usually well stocked. The best value is the deals they offer weekly so if you just stick to that you’ll come out pretty well. Usually I stock up on sale items and buy other items at other places because of the nickel and dime mentality. I shop there pretty frequently and it’s nice to have alternatives in a small town like Dallas.

I was impressed by how this Safeway and the people of Dallas seem to have adjusted so well to all the current Covid-19 rules. It was nice to see people being courteous to each other and respecting each others space as it isnt always that way now days despite all the mandates by the governor. It was the closest to normal shopping Ive experienced in about 6 months and I definitely enjoyed it.

I buy from this store alot.sometimes spendy but the specials are good.the staff are helpful and friendly. Close to my house and small enough that you can shop the whole store quicky

The workers are awesome. Brandon the meat manager goes out of his way for me there. Carman meat wrapper is friendly and helps me with whatever I need. Cari who is manager of cutting fruit is friendly and cuts and helps me with what ever I need. Francis and Brad in the check stand are so friendly and make me want to come back. All the customer service are so friendly and helpful. Kathy in floral is always cheerful and ready to help me. I also left Chris out in the meat department. Always friendly and ready to help me whenever I need it. Deli, Heron is always greeting me when I am there. Sue and Vicki always friendly in the Bakery. The only thing I have a problem with is item that are out of stock. But that is due to the pandemic. So it is understandable. Doing the best you can.

I like Safeway. Most of the time they have good prices the store is clean and the people working there are friendly and helpful. I took a star away because you have to pay attention to the price that rings up. Too often its not the advertised price.

Love the pick up and go, it does take a few hours to get ready. But if you plan ahead its great!

If you shop the just for you and Friday deals you can get some great bargains it’s always a stop on my grocery trips

This Safeway (Dallas, Oregon) is actually my preferred store out of the other Safeways locations to shop at. There are 2 other within about the same distance, however, this Safeway generally has everything I am looking for and does their best to keep their products stocked. Helpful, seemingly happy, and courteous personnel, Ive never experienced a rude employee at this Safeway and like every other Safeway they are reasonably priced and do stellar sales. I highly recommend using this Safeway if you live in the surrounding areas.This location also does bottle/can returns, they offer the customer two different ways of dealing with their cans and bottles. You can use the store supplied machines, receive your ticket after stuffing them in the machines and cash out immediately. Or you can do it the way I prefer which is using the outside bottle drop, all you have to do is bag them up using the bottle drop bags (found at the customer service desk) place the tag provided to you that links you directly to your bags of cans and just open the door throw the bag in and call it good, and receive the money for them within a couple business days, no sticky fingers and you get an additional 20% in in-store discounts.

As a customer, I was always happy with the service. In July I started work in the deli, from this perspective, their focus is customer satisfaction, a happy customer is a repeat customer, and I realized I may have been critical as a customer myself.9/13/21Recently the store has got a new general manager. However employee moral is at an all time low. The pay is less than one might expect for a top end store, as well, $12.20 an hour. Even though the products are top quality, the place is like a dungeon, the employees are slaves, forced to work the job of two people while managers reap the bonus checks from coming in under budget on labor costs.Its getting around that management does not treat courtesy clerks well as a result you will have get your own basket from the parking lot.If I were you, I would go to a different store, Salem, or Corvallis.

Small community store, everyone working there is going above and beyond for all customers. Even customers, during these times, were all respecting each other. Each person made their own choice regarding masks, but I saw no animosity from any one to another, just respect.

Always love Safeway. Its not the place to go buy your everyday items. Its much more a gourmet store. You are going to pay higher prices, but if you are going for higher end products, you are going to get the best. My favorite

Very clean and tidy, the florist Monique was very helpful when she noticed me looking around even though she was on break she proceeded to help me and answer my questions. Very helpful young lady who obviously has pride in her job, wonderful to see the enthusiasm in the younger generation.
