Rick is the best gunsmith in Georgia and is very reasonable on pricing. He has built several guns for me and repaired a couple gun also. There is no better at his craft. You should give him a try

Rick has worked on all my guns over the years, hes the best gunsmith I know of and a solid guy. He took my sr1911 and made it look and shoot better than I could have ever expected. (New sights, cerokote multiple components as well as color matching a muzzle brake, milled 6 perfectly cut vents in the slide and hand jeweled the entire barrel) I would trust him to do anything on any of my guns thanks for reading -jd

I normally don’t rate people but this service was just too bad not to say something about. I hope this saves someone money in the future. Bought a new pistol and wanted to swap my sights from my old pistol to the new one. He quoted me $20, which is a good price. Cheaper isn’t always better. He was careless as to where he laid my brand new pistol and old pistol down (on top of tools and such) and how gentle he was with them (not at all)! He scratched up the new pistol and the old pistol (which is less than a year old and in perfect condition) and damaged both sets of sights. I paid him for half of his his services because I stopped him mid way through. He had to get change, made me wait so he could grab a rifle and load two rounds just to hand me back $10. I guess that was some sort of scare tactic for whatever reason. Overall this will cost me at least an additional $200 for new sights, an additional trip to another gunsmith, plus their fee for switching out sights.

I bought a quad rail online that was made specifically for my shot gun. I took it to a gun range to have it installed but the gunsmith their told me it wouldn’t fit, and send it back for a refund. Since, I wasn’t accepting his recommendation I took my quad rail and shot gun to Bowers and he pointed out that the quad rail had spacers to make the rail fit and the previous gunsmith just didn’t want to do the work. An hour later with a few taps and screws the quad rail was installed and he gave me a great price for the installation. It’s a one man shop and he is very knowledgeable in the gunsmith craft. I will be returning for work on my Glock.

Excellent and knowledgeable work

Unfortunately, his gentlemen cant do something as simple as drill and tap a receiver for a scope mount. He scarred my gun on first attempt, I let it slide. I brought another to him, and according to another gunsmith I had to take the gun to its the worst Ive ever seen. Figured out another friend brought a gun to him for the same service and he ruined the receiver, the mount was literally mounted at an angle. Use at your own risk. Sad. Hes nice enough guy.

This is a one man shop run out of his home and walking into his workshop is like stepping into a mad scientists laboratory. There are tools, projects, and experiments everywhere. I had, what was for him, a very easy problem to solve and he had it done in about 15 minutes while I waited. After he was done he shared with me his latest creation: A nearly silent Remington 700 with an integral suppressor. It was literally the quietest 308 Ive ever shot in my life. The report sounded like a suppressed pellet rifle. His prices arent cheap, but he does some of the finest work available. If you have a project or a problem that needs the attention of a true craftsman, Rick is your man.
