I will NEVER buy from this store again. The incompetence & rudeness of the employees is unbelievable. But at least the people in charge of hiring looked high & low, the latter is mostly where they looked, for the ones most qualified for the jobs at Food Lion. You know the ones with the single digit IQ and fully equipped with tattoos, naturally the tattoos would be on the neck so thats all you can see while talking to the person. And forget about the double your money back guarantee if you are not completely satisfied for any reason. Theyll find a way to get around it even if you had been told you would be refunded the money. This place doesnt even rate a star. But you have to give it something or you cant post. Believe me, this FL doesnt deserve a single star. The Health Department needs to check in on them one day. I would love to know what their rating is.

Im an InstaCart shopper and was having an awful day on Friday, in the store for like four hours, but the staff here went out of their way to be helpful and friendly, and I am so thankful for them! Lucas, Ryan, Abbie, and a name I forget is the sweet girl with the cool multicolored hair who wasnt even on the clock but made a special effort to help out and with a great attitude. There were others Id mention but I dont want to go on forever. Anyway, I just wanted to say theyre wonderful and made my difficult day much more tolerable! Also the store is clean and organized. These folks do a great job and I cant express enough how I appreciate them!

Just moved to the area and had to make the first grocery run. Store was super organized and clean. They had lots of variety. Thankful we have such a nice store so close to us.

Bought fresh green beans here. Got home and found mold all in the bottom of the bag. Make certain to check your produce for mold.

Shopped here since they opened. Need to learn not to grind up bones in the ground beef. Last 3 packs Ive bought have been that way. Good store but i will buy my meats elsewhere

I wanted some Chinese food that is in the same plaza. They were closed so I got some wings out of the deli here. They were good and I got my 18 wheeler in here with ease

Store was busy, every checkout isle was open! Kudos management.

Currently they seem to be doing a remodel or update. The last few times I have been there it seems that corporate has been there but I have never seen the store so neat and orderly. I will say I go there frequently because they have to best crinkle fries (I eat a lot of chips and the food lion brand are my favorites).

Let me say. Before entering this store!! I got to hear a man playing a guitar!! That was awesome!I wished I had thought to get a pic. This store is one of the cleanest stores!! It has wide ilses which I love myself!! Bright lightings so I can see what Im reading!! All employees I came in contact with was super nice, helpful and friendly!! Great customer service at the Food Lion on Dalton Cleveland Hwy!!

They had fast friendly service. The day I went they had a lot of good sales. The best sale was pecan halves 1lb bag for 5.99 Ive never seen them for that price in the last 5 years. I only got two bags I wish I had gotten more.

I live right by the Varnell store and Ive had nothing but great experiences shopping there. I did my first ever mobile grocery pickup order today and they went above and beyond to help satisfy and fulfill my order!! Great job to the Varnell store!!

Close to home and clean. Cashiers not very friendly the times I have been in there. Two pretty much ignored me but took my money. One actually insulted me by making a crass comment about my purchase. Hopefully that wont continue to happen. If that improves Ill update review.

There shelves are always about half bare. The store is not stocked well. We hardly ever find everything we need.

Great to see this business still thriving after many set backs over the last decade. And still very affordable. Hang in there food lion youll make huge come back Im sure. After closing over 70% of thier stores some 10 years ago,food lion still has a mighty roar and new stores are coming back little by little. Im proud to have one in my home town.

The staff wore masks but there were no signs stating masks should be worn. I am visiting from out of town and not encouraging patrons to mask up makes the store feel dirty.

Terrible prices. Even walmart has better value. Not to mention quality and selection. Just go to walmart or Krogers instead.

Had a rude experience there was a polite helpful young man named Jeremy Parker( employee ) that was visually mistreated by other Management and other employees due to his appearance ( tattoos that were Christian tattoos) and bc he did not hang out at work he actually worked and none else did so he stood out he was the only one who helped customers without them asking him to.

Clean store. Friendly staff. The only catch, it is way more expensive than Wal-Mart. The meats run expensive in both places. The tender cuts and high quality can be found on Cleveland Hwy at United Food Outlet.

Less than half of the customers were wearing masks, and although most employees had masks on, half were not covering their noses. Such selfish behavior.

Food lion is a great place to grocery shop.

They may not have everything but they give you a steady selection. A nice little grocery store that actually has good prices. They have several grain-free dog and cat food options which is nice since I have sensitive animals.

I have lived I. The area most of my life. This store is great to have when you have nothing at all.I have to unload my grocery cart, rebag my groceries, put them in my grocery cart while the one that checks me out pats his or her foot while I put my things back in my cart to take out! Then I pay and if I have not been quick enough the checker person is running the next persons item on mine!In the mean time the checker is talking to their other checkers. Not good customer service!

Not my favorite store, but close to home. Employees are helpful, but usually talking to each other. Prices are very high, even after using the Food Lion (discount) card. Usually out of what I am needing. Not many handicap carts, I only saw one.

This store is always clean and the staff is friendly enough. Also, the Shop and Earn feature is awesome! Its just like clipping coupons without all the hassle. Just make sure and use your MVP card.

A lot of turn over at this store as soon as you get comfortable with the employees they no longer work there. Whats up with that ?. How ever the Meat market there is great and I buy All my meat there. Beats any other store Meat in town.
