I ride a 2016 FLSS-S Softail Slim S olive denim green gold star Army bike with the Screaming Eagle 117 engine and Vance & Hines Street sweepers. I bought it new from Danbury in 2017 and always had it serviced there just like my previous Road King Classic I also bought new there in 2007. That Slim is a beast of a bike!My experience with Bill in service yesterday deserves a 5 star, A+ review. 6 weeks ago my battery gave up the ghost but it was on a Sunday so I had to go to a local auto parts store for a replacement. I won’t name it (it’s a national chain) as it really isn’t relevant to this story. What IS relevant is that the battery they sold me which is definitely on their chart as a correct replacement just couldn’t crank the engine first time in the morning. I always had to use my HD booster pack. The bike is garaged and it never gets below 55 degrees in there. The parts store even replaced the battery but that didn’t help. Btw, it was ALWAYS on my HD battery tender and, after I figured out there was a blown fuse from my booster pack jumps, the tender displayed the green light. So, the battery should start my bike, right? It couldn’t. Only if the engine was warm from a very recent ride would their battery start it.I had called HD service previously and Dan, the service manager, suggested I bring it in, no appointment necessary, because it sounded like there might be a parasitic drain on the battery. Well, that’s not something I know how to diagnose so I stopped in yesterday and Bill did the intake. He listened to me describe the history and the symptoms. He asked some pertinent questions which I answered. Then he got a tech to run the tests on the ignition/charging system. Maybe 10 minutes this took for the intake. Not even 10 minutes later we had the answer.No parasitic drain. So, what’s the problem then, right? Without any hard sell or condescension about the “national chain battery” Bill sold me a Harley battery because I asked him to tell me the cost. He HAD pointed to a Street Glide in service and said my previous battery was most likely heavier duty because of my big engine which made sense to me. This morning I gave the existing battery one last chance and it couldn’t cut it. Took it out, installed the new HD battery, and, pow, started right up! Now I feel confident again!Was this a challenging thing for Bill & the tech to handle? No, it probably doesn’t get much easier and I got lucky they weren’t crazy swamped when I showed up but they weren’t “not busy”; I could tell. My problem was quickly and professionally diagnosed and addressed. All I got charged was the cost of the new battery. So, thank-you Bill and thank-you Al & Carl (owners) for the 5 Star service!
Ive been patronizing Harley Davidson of Danbury for years, primarily their parts department. I wrench my own machines and dont often buy new, but if I were considering one, I buy it from Danbury.Im a firm believer in after sales support and thats where Danbury Harley really shines for me. Ive called on the expertise of their service manager from time to time and have always gotten sound advice and a friendly attitude.The parts department is the best Ive ever used, including the discount online dealers. Both Anthony and Mike in parts go above and beyond to make sure youre getting the right part, even suggesting what you might need to complete the install. When youre wrenching on your own bikes the time spent coming from New Haven to Danbury can be a real killer so I always want to be sure to get all Ill need it on one trip. These considerate suggestions can often save me time and money, avoiding that additional trip for a parr that you didnt realize youd need. Thats the kind of personal service thats worth its weight in gold, getting it back in the wind ASAP.Although they have a substantial inventory of parts, on the rare occasion I need something for say my 28-year old 92 Dyna, Anthony or Mike offer to check nearby dealers and if they havent got inventory either, theyll get it ordered quickly and easily.In a nutshell, beautiful dealership and store, great selection of new and used bikes, motorclothes and accessories (they always have a discount rack), excellent parts department and easy on/off I-84, RT7 right on Federal Road.Tell then Cobra Joe sent you!

Do yourself a favor and dont buy a bike from them! Mike the salesperson is your typical used car sales guy. Remember the true coat scene from Fargo thats him. After I explained what my concerns were buying the bike he gave me every excuse under the sun. Then when I presented the bill for the work that had to be done out came more excuses. Its not about the $ with me its about how you do business and there way is very questionable. This is for the next guy be aware of this company. All these positive reviews have to be BS. Unfortunately I cant give them zero stars.
3 months after buying my Road Glide Speacial (which Im super happy and proud of) the staff still remembers my name. To my surprise they were on point with accommodating me with the smallest and seemingly insignificant details. Love those saleswoman too ALL OF THEM.

What a con they are. They change parts to make money & over charged me on the part they installed I found out when I got home. I would never recommend them at all. The owner Al I thought was a friend showed his true con colors to me. Found out from friends that go there as well they feel the same way. Please everyone stand clear from this place, go elsewhere.

This is my second bike from here- both low miles! My first one was a very great Christmas present in 2018, the second one was a birthday present to myself in 2020. I cant thank everyone enough. I had an excellent experience and everyone is great to work with. I was lucky enough to buy my second one on the 25th year they have been in business and Im so happy with my purchase. Recently bought a 2015 Street Glide From Dave. It was a great experience. We were able to find the bike with all the features I wanted and work it within my budget. Its a nice place to buy a motorcycle I bought a used motorcycle and they promised me that they would order and install with no charge a Sissy bar and a windshield and a windshield and they kept that word.

There was glitch in service with a defective part and took time to diagnose and finish the job. Talked with Al and he apologized for the delay. Great sales and service from this dealership. I bought a used Suzuki bandit $1200s in immaculate condition at a amazing price. Title got thrown in the recycling bin by accident,I went back and explained the situation and the Sweet blond helped me out with a copy of it. Good people 100%

Im very disappointed.I called and scheduled an appointment for a 20,000 mile service on my bike in mid March 2021. On May 11th I dropped my bike off and it’s been sitting there for a week. On May 14th I went to the dealership and ask why it was taking so long, after all I did schedule an appointment, I was told that I Scheduled a date ( May 11th ) to be put on a waiting list.This answer made no sense to me. One would think if you had to make an appointment for a service they would have blocked out a time to service the bike.Over all it is one of the better Harley Davidsons I have done business with.

They were great! I walked in i wasn’t pressured into buying anything. They worked with me and listened to what I actually wanted. I got a great bike and met some cool people. I had a very positive experience with Dave in parts. I was curious as to why my 2012 Ultra Classic does not need specialized fluids for the engine and the primary. My older bikes needs separate fluids.I always thought that engine oil should be more slippery and primary fluid should be have more of a detergent qualityDave was very thorough in his answer.What I like about my experience with Dave is that he communicated to me in a very thoughtful way. I discussed something about my front suspension fluid. He did not try to up sell me on that. He said that it is not required as long as the shocks are not leaking.I know that a Parts Professionals pay plan has a component based on parts sales. The fact that Dave recommended against me buying suspension fluid at this time was very enjoyable (cant find a better word) to me.
Mike was a great salesman to work with any questions i asked he answered with no hesitation and with wealth of knowledge! The owner was very imformative and both treated me like family! I would never shop at another dealership! From Mike being one of the most honest sales rep i have worked with, and the owner AL and team went over and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. I purchased two bikes from them in the past three months, a 2009 Rocker C, and a brand new 2020 Street Glide limited. I did some custom work on the rocker with pipes, Fp3 Tuner, and intake and it was a fast turn around and price just right. This was the first time I step foot in HD dealership, and boy did I find a gem. The owner Al, really does care about his clients, and always made time to give me a call/ text to make sure I was taken care of,first time meeting him, and he treated me like I was family . I would give them 10 stars if I was allowed. Bravo Danbury Of Harley! I will see you soon, once I hit my 1,000 miles on the Street Glide for an oil change.

I tend to dislike dealing with any type of vehicle dealership as you always have to deal with people trying to up-sell you on whether it be vehicle, service and or parts. I havent had that issue here. Their prices are actually pretty fair compared to the other harley dealerships that are in the reasonable area that I feel is worth traveling to.

While riding from Maryland to Massachusetts we stopped here to grab some poker chips and it turned into so much more than just that. Within 10 minutes of being there it started to down pour. They offered us a coffee and a place to stay until the storm passed. Unfortunately the storm didnt pass untill the next morning so we had to get a hotel that was nearby. In fear of ours bikes getting we asked Colleen one of the sales reps if it would be possible to store our bikes anywhere and with zero hesitation she texted the owner and asked if it was okay. He said yes and they let us pull the bikes into their shop. Long story short they made us feel like family. Great shop with incredibly friendly owners and staff.

I haven’t been to Danbury Harley Davidson in a few years after having an issue but that being said that’s water under the bridge I went to Harley Davidson Danbury A couple weeks ago and was impressed with the changes did a lot of business there in the past and would probably start doing business there again still the same owners but time changes everything so if you’re looking for a motorcycle locally it’s not a bad place to go Stop in and see Sue in finance department and while you’re there say hi to Al I hope this review helps people try out this dealership I did it’s all good

Ive called and talked to him several times in person over the last few weeks regarding issues with my bike and hes always willing to lend me some advice. John in sales and the guys over in the parts department (sorry, dont know their names) have been pleasant, knowledgeable and friendly since the day I first walked into Danbury Harley. Even one of the owners, Al, took me aside and gave me a few great recommendations on some products for my bike.My experience so far with this dealer has been nothing but good, and I look forward to giving them my business as long as Im in the area.
Things started out a little rocky but after filling out their survey and telling of my experience, the owner and staff went above and beyond to win back my loyalty as a customer. I am a vet and they are extremely vet friendly. I am also aware as a business owner that sometimes things go left. If they got it right the first time they would have got 5 stars. But their determination to make things right is why I will continue to use them as my dealership as long as they continue to give me the quality service they have given me moving forward.
I bought a new street glide special and I dont know if they got better or what (my trade was old in years) this bike/motor/looks are superior in all ways. I thank my local Harley of Danbury for excellent service as always. This dealer cant get enough street glides cause I watch his top notch website listings. They keep selling out!
I went to the Danbury Harley dealer in April 2017 having never ridden a motorcycle and wanted to buy. Dave spoke with me for a month or so and recommended the 2015 Heritage Classic below. I met Al, one of the owners, and he made me feel welcome each time it stopped in afterwards. I took his advice and the bike was perfect for me. I started speaking with Dave again in November about looking to move into either a Street Glide or a Road Glide and he patiently explained everything (over a few months) I needed to know and scheduled test ride of both bikes. I selected the Road Glide Ultra below, bought it 4/8/2018 and could not be happier. Sue did an incredible job finding the best rates and developing a plan that works wonderfully for me. Daves professionalism and Als desire to make his dealership feel like family are what sold me on them. I will not buy a Harley anywhere else. It was an incredible experience. Definitely worth the trip and the entire organization puts the customer first.

I went to this shop, and I’m sorry I don’t remember the guys name, he was bald with tattoos and he was extremely helpful. The part I like the most was that I was looking for a super cheap part but they didn’t have the right one to suit my needs (not their fault because I already knew it would be hard to find) but he still prioritized me as if I was buying an expensive bike. I didn’t even buy anything and I’m writing a review just because I went all around town looking for this part and everyone besides the guy here was like huh? What? A duh? So I’d highly recommend them because of the want to help and offering every solution possible!! thanks

I was in Connecticut for the death of my father and needed help with my bike and Danbury Harley Davidson has been there for me when I was having a hard time finding a place to get the bike off the truck and they got it off and then after all was said and done with what was going on with my family they saved me again by helping me with putting it back on the truck to go back home in Florida. Just had the rudest text conversation with Josh a salesperson. Customer service is definitely not his strong suit. He started slinging salesperson lines after I questioned his price based on comparable models, and it went down hill from there. Seems this has happened in the past with him. As you stated to me, you are well aware of your job, apparently not, salespeople sell not let the customer walk,Im shopping elsewhere.
Having never owned a Harley before I was a little skeptical, however this dealership proved any stereo types wrong. They have a natural passion for what they do and it shows...The staff is always friendly and happy to help, never seems like youre bothering them no matter the depth or length of the question.I have since been in for service and parts a few times and always feel like they go out of their way to make sure I understand whats going on and my questions are answered with a positive attitude.A special note on how clean this facility is on a regular basis; pride in what they do!

Went to test ride a bike today here today. Not a single price tag to be seen on any of the bikes in the showroom, that was the first red flag. Met a nice salesman who wanted to run my credit before taking a test ride on the bike I came to check out...I mean lets not get ahead of ourselves! He still wanted to talk about numbers before I could take a test ride. So we did and he comes back with a sheet for me to sign to agree on a price for a bike I havent even test ridden.Heres why Im writing this review: on the $6799 bike, they wanted a $1561 dealer prep fee. Looks like they wanted to take ME for a ride alright. All said and done, the $6799 bike ballooned to $9310 after the dealer prep fee, taxes and whatever else. This bike had NO extras or dealer installed options. So the promotion for a bike that would be $113/mo ended up almost double that.Dont come here unless you are looking to waste your time and money.

We love this Harley Shop. We had to get towed last Sumner and they couldn’t fix our Harley till morning. They were a great help on where to stay and eat at.
So, where to begin. They are great at taking your money, I bought a bike there once and it was an Ok experience.AVOID THE SERVICE DEPARTMENTService is what makes or breaks a dealership, anyone can take your cash and give you a bike, but dealing with their service department was a six week nightmare. First, getting an answer from anyone is impossible, and if you dont call twice a day, they will let your work sit there without touching it. It took me a week just to get an estimate. Do you need parts? Great, they will sit on your order for another week, because whoever has the responsibility to actually order parts cant be bothered to do it. A full week passed between when the service manager told me the parts were ordered, and when they actually were, I know because I called Harley in Milwaukee to check up on them. even after six weeks, it was getting within a couple hours of the end of the day when the bike was ready, and they wanted to wait until the next day to clean it up so i could pick it up. Wouldnt want to do anything after 4 PM, of course.After all the delays, the lies, repeat, lies from the service manager, I took the issue up with one of the owners, who basically told me, tough, go away, we have your money and thats all that we care about.We will see how well the repair holds up, I dont have high hopes.

Recently, my husband tried to make an appointment with the service department for general service/maintenance, new tires, and an issue with the water pump. When he called, they advised him that they were backed up, so my husband scheduled the first available appointment which was 10 days later. He knew the work may take several days, so he did not want to pester the service department and waited for them to contact him. After NOT hearing from anyone in service for 10 DAYS, my husband finally called them. They had not even looked at his bike!!!! After my husband expressed how upset he was, service finally looked at his bike the next day. They advised my husband that the water pump did not need to be replaced, but there was a problem with a relay, which they would have to order. Again, my husband waited to hear from the service department. Another 4 days went by and my husband again called them. HD service said it was not the relay, it was, in fact, the water pump. Now my husband had to wait for them to order a new water pump, which could take up to 4 days to arrive. Understandably my husband was really upset (he needed his bike back for a trip he was taking the following week). HD service finally got the part and said his bike would be ready in 7 days. When my husband picked up his bike, one of the issues they were supposed to have checked, they had not, so my husband waited while they fixed the problem, even though his motorcycle had already been there 21 DAYS!! The final straw was when my husband asked them to replace the clutch master cylinder cover and they actually charged him $70 for half an hour for labor to do something that took about five minutes. Both my husband and I know it is an absolute waste of time to complain to the owners, because we have tried that in the past for other horrible service problems, and the owners have no interest in hearing about anything as long as they are making $$$$$. This is the third time we have dealt with Danbury HD, and it will be the last!
We had to make an emergency stop at Danbury Harley Davidson when our caliper fell off on I-84. (Our bike had just come out of another shop- so you can imagine our frustration) Everyone we met was concerned, helpful and friendly. They instantly got to work to get us back on the road quickly & safely. Cant say enough about the awesome staff & service!!!!

I bought my husband a Harley Davidson Street Glide Special from HD in Danbury. Josh was our sales rep and he was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable with the bike. Sue helped us tremendously with the paperwork and I must say that everyone was so nice and welcoming. We are happy to be part of the HD Family!
