In todays busy climate it seems that customer service has gone to the wayside but not at Akiba Antiques.Alexander has demonstrated that customers do matter and when there is an oversight to recognize it, own it and resolve it. Which all in all is extremely rare these days and should be recognized for what it truly is - Akiba Antiques provides Excellent Customer Service! By far my favorite antique dealer online. The entire staff is responsive, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the business they are in. I have had nothing but positive experiences involving multiple purchases and in some cases unusual requests which they managed to negotiate on my behalf. I first came across Akiba looking to buy odds and ends such as coins, music boxes, and WW2 memorabilia. I’ve been buying and consigning solely with Akiba for the last three years. Whatever I purchase always arrives on time and accurately fits the description of the lot. The employees there also are very helpful and passionate about antiquitiesA+ would definitely recommend

First-class auction house.I have been an Akiba client for 2-3 years.They are professional and transparent (which is atypical for many other auction houses in the South Florida area). Staff is both knowledgeable and friendly— they will always take the time to answer your questions / work out a reasonable arrangement.I would recommend to any collector who is looking to buy or sell; they will not disappoint.

Like so many auction houses in South Florida, they have, at times, resorted to selling fake Russian antiques. I bought Russian lacquered boxes from them at a hefty price and the boxes turned out to be cheap prints pasted onto boxes which I think are not even lacquered, but some cheap imitation. Just be warned when you see Russian stuff that it could be fake and almost worthless. I have my suspicions about other items that keep appearing at Akiba, but without proof I will not say more. Be very, very careful with this auction gallery as they will NOT disclose that certain made-to-look-old objects are counterfeit.

Absolute BEST place to go if youre in the market for antiques! Friendly staff, great pricing, and even better trinkets! Definitely coming back!!!

Purchased a diamond necklace for my girlfriend. Came in perfect condition and was just as described.

Really bad customer service, bought silverware and they couldnt find it when i went to pick it up, left my phone number so that somebody could call me when the found my stuff, never got a call and after 8 days i went to pick it up and i parked outside and the workers there were blaming me with hiting one of their cars, they even called the police and the officer investigated and saw that i didnt hit their car, awful place, they dont know how to treat customers

I adore going to thrift shops and finding goodies for myself as well as my home. So imagine my luck when I found this hole in the wall. The entire block was an antique community. I then realized I needed a vintage vanity. Marco was kind and gave me a tour of the auction house. No vanity’s this time but he showed me how to setup an alert on my phone for whenever they get one in. Customer service gets ten stars from me.

Jon and Alex were extremely helpful during my move. I wanted a few things to get consigned for auction but was overwhelmed with transporting the 4 large pieces to their auction house. They told me to not worry, we setup an appointment to come to my house in the gables with their moving van and blankets to wrap the pieces. All this was arranged on my schedule which meant a lot. Was on my way to Hollywood beach when I came across this gem, didn’t know too much about the antique world and bidding except for ebay. Alex informed me on the process of the auctions. I thought they were held at the office like in the movies but it’s all online which is even better for me and my crazy work schedule. He let me know if I wanted to see something in person to just call them beforehand. Very nice group of ppl. Two thumbs up all around!

This auction house charges you a “Buyer’s Premium”, as if it is somehow a great privilege that you are allowed to buy from them. Just think about it. Would you go into any other business and pay this. Go into any major or minor retailer. Pick say $1000.00 in merchandise. You get your sales slip and they want $1250.00 plus any applicable taxes. You show them the mistake and they tell you it is a “Buyer’s Premium”. Would you pay it? Why pay it here? The hammer price is the same as the price in a retail shop. Why are you paying more?Just something to think about.

She has repro furniture at astrocious prices....check other places before buying at this person shop, plus she is super stuck up.
