They go out of their way to insure your satisfaction. The roll down shutters are high quality and don’t look as bulky on a home as you might think. Also if beige is in your color palette I would definitely get that color over standard/standout white.

Id like to recommend Maximum Shutter Systems for the excellent installation they did on a hurricane shutter system that stretches across my homes patio. Their job was over and beyond what we expected. Their installation was clean, and their team super-cooperative.Today, the City of Plantations inspector visited our house to give final approval to the job. He let me know just how impressed he was with the shutters and their installation. Code called for screws to be placed in my concrete 14 apart. Maximum Shutters placed their screws 12 apart; giving our shutters a greater level of resilience to hurricane force winds than Florida building code requires.Please accept my 100% recommendation if youre considering a hurricane shutter system for your home or business.

I purchased accordion shutters for my balcony and I cannot express how happy I am with their help. Let me start by thanking Jose who took the time and effort to guide me through the process as well as give me tips for Installation, Maintenance, care, etc. Also, in the warehouse, the guys took the time to show me all the pieces and hardware I needed to accomplish the project. I had an installation enclosed between 4 walls and all the shutters were cut at the exact right measures fitting perfectly. They were all really helpful and provide exceptional services. Tommy and Robert did a fabulous job installing the 13 shutters for our home, and were wonderful to deal with. They were fast and efficient, even when dealing with all the rain and brutal heat. They had numerous custom cuts/fittings for some of the windows and they also turned out great. I was walked around the house and shown how to use the shutters and locking system properly and given tips on cleaning and lubricating them. They also were very good with all the clean-up at the end of the installation. Charlie, the lady who runs the office, was equally efficient and pleasant to deal with over the phone, always answering my questions to satisfaction and keeping me updated on the installation date. I recently chose Maximum Shutter Systems to custom manufacture Accordion Style Supernova Hurricane Shutters for all 12 of my homes windows. I dealt with several different people in both their office and in their manufacturing facility, and everyone of them was super nice to deal with, and as helpful as could be. Due to the Pandemic, 2020 was an extremely difficult year for Maximum Shutters (parts & supplies outages & delays; building permit offices closed; etc.). Couple this with the every day problems of dealing with the Pandemic, and in the midst of hurricane season and they were facing a huge challenge. They pushed through it though, and in the end, they successfully met the challenges. The shutters look great, they are a top quality product at a very affordable price, and they couldnt be easier to operate - great design. Patty (office) and Jose (manufacturing) were exceptionally good to deal with. I give them the highest rating, and would recommend them to anyone.

I had read the reviews of this company and to be honest, I was pretty hesitant to do business with them. But since no other company seems to want to return a call and Maximum Shutters did, I figured Id take the next step and scheduled an estimate. I was notified via email and text that my estimate was scheduled. An hour before my estimate I also got a notification that they were on their way. A gentleman by the name of William showed up at our home. He was incredibly knowledgeable and very sincere about providing quality service and products. He took measurements, made a few recommendations about what type of protection may work best for us, and even got along with our dog (our dog doesnt do well with strangers).By the next day we had an estimate in our email. After speaking with my husband, we decided to give them a shot so we stop by their office. While there we met another customer who was there to thank the staff for all their help. That was reassuring.The city permit did take a little longer than expected but they did complete the job in the time frame William said they would. The installers did a great job and were very pleasant and professional.Basically I am saying that I am very pleased with this company and it is hard to believe what I read in a lot of their reviews.

Hurricane Dorian just blew through St Thomas, my shutters from Maximum performed perfectly. I just installed these last month, the whole experience was awesome. Did my own installation of accordion shutters and had a great experience. The Maximum Shutter folks patiently answered my questions about measuring the windows, the design of their shutters, and even installation tips. Jose Sanchez was especially helpful, as I am not a contractor and was doing this for the first time so had a lot of questions that he answered for me. It was a big job, but I would gladly do it again. Doing it yourself saves money on the installation, and these shutters are a very good product. Getting the permit with the city is not hard, but it takes some time & effort. Good project!

Ive done numerous property renovations in Boca as well as Delray over the last 20 years. This company was the absolute worst experience in all that time. The installation crew were excellent so I have to assume that they are sub-contractors and not part of this companys arrogant and disrespectful culture. My advice - dont even think about hiring them. Unfortunately its not possible to give them zero stars.

The shop did a great job on my roll-down shutter. The system was built sturdier, and to higher wind-resistant standard than others I bought before from another shop... and they gave me an extra part to accommodate my unusual attic gable vent configuration.

Terrible. The most unreliable company I have ever dealt with. Ive tried to get ahold of them via email/phone and no one had the decency to return none of my various emails or phone call. Ive had a contract signed with them for over 1 month!!! And they claimed they will contact me to set up the day for installation. That email/phone call never came! Hurricane Irma came and I had to spend $600 in plywood, anchors, electric saw, and a delivery truck to bring the darn wood over to my home. I will never recommend this company to nobody as they lack professionalism. And if the owner or whoever has control over the company reads this review. Look back into the various times and emails Ive attempted to contact you all. Unbelievable. Save yourself time and look for another company.**UPDATE**I just realized the company had replied to me blaming the City. Which is sad instead of owning up to their errors. It does not take the City almost one year to get everything moving but ANYWAYS i am not gonna waste my time on that as my problem has been solved FINALLY.I dealt with Jackie and to be honest, if you want respectful customer service just ask to deal with her directly. She was responsive and on top of the work. Other than that if you want to give the company a chance, you can. I mean maybe you wont have such an experience as ALL the other people who gave them bad reviews like myself. Just know it might take a really LONG time. They do not reply your emails most of the time (Ryan). He asked me what color I want my accordion shutters (8) and I replied Ivory. At time of pick up, they were all white! They do not meet delivery schedule, making believe they sent you an email, but they didn’t.The only positive factor is the product quality along with manufacturing precision.,

The warning signs were there when I had to work so hard just to get a quote. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!Please scroll down and read very carefully all negative reviews. They are all accurate and mirror my experience. But you have to scroll down as there are obvious fake planted positives in here. Enough negatives that tell the whole story over and over. You will learn all you are about to encounter! The brief and blame shifting replies after the lengthy and detailed accounts from the “victims” ( who oddly all have the same bad experiences) speak for themselves. Ive now been waiting for one month to get a refund, yep one month and counting to get back a refund because they charged me twice. Called and emailed many times. Ordered my shutters and alum panel for my backdoor. The order was back logged for some time. When the shutters did arrive I was surprised at the workmanship. I want to thank Jose who stayed in contact with me whenever I had a question and asked when the order would arrive. I would order again from Maximum.

Their subcontractors are excellent the office manager (Caroline) is rude and incompetent. We would never recommend them because of her arrogance and abysmal customer service.

I had shutters installed in November 2017 and they left windows not done. I have contacted them about this many times and they say they are coming but have not shown up yet! They were paid in full. We are going to contact the Chamber of Commerce and the better business bureau to warn others

Terrible customer service. I contacted Maximum Shutter Systems trying to get an estimate for getting hurricane shutters on our new house. They said I needed to take pictures and take the measurements for all our windows and doors and email it to them and someone would contact me within a day or two. I did all this and sent it in and NO RESPONSE. I emailed the contact person Caroline to make sure they got everything and she said they had everything and would contact me shortly. A WEEK LATER STILL NOTHING. I contacted them yet again and never got a response. Almost 3 weeks later I have gone with another more responsive company. Its not worth your time or effort to measure your own windows etc since they wont contact you backUpdated:I checked my junk and still could not find the email. I had been emailing back and forth with one of your representatives earlier, however when I tried to contact her on the 17th, 23rd and 24th informing her I had not received a quote I never got any response. Had she answered this would not have happened..

I have called 4 times and cannot get anyone to respond. I Get put on hold and never called back. If this is how they are before you buy, imagine the service level if you did.

First of all, I will begin with this advice: NEVER believe what this company (or any contractor) tells you about the status of your permit. YOU need to check yourself by either calling your Citys Building Division, visiting City Hall in person or using its websites online permit search.I chose Maximum Shutters because the negative reviews I was reading were mainly complaints about wait-time and their response was always, Unfortunately in Florida contractors cannot install shutters until the city completes and issues your building permit. I knew this was true and would be patient with the process.In December of 2017, William Cowgill (salesman) said it would take 4-6 weeks for the permit and another 4-6 weeks for installation. He GUARANTEED me that the job would be done before Hurricane Season. After 8 weeks, I called him and he said to be patient. After 12 weeks, I called the company and spoke to Jackie, and she said they were waiting for the City and to be patient. After 16 weeks, I called back and Jackie said the City needed new measurements. I decided to call myself and the Building Division informed me that NO permit has been applied for yet.I called Jackie with the information, and she said that the City was mistaken and that she would check and let me know the status: She never did. After that, she was never available to take my calls and Elizabeth took my calls. The final lie she (Elizabeth) told me was that President Trumps tariffs were the reason for the delay. I told her that the contract was signed months before the tariffs were even proposed. She was flustered, so I demanded to speak to the co-owner, Ryan.When I was finally transferred to him, he said that going with another contractor would take up to a year and GUARANTEED me that the work would be done in 6 weeks. I checked online and Maximum Shutters finally submitted the application (7 months later), but there was a problem with their design schematics. I called back Ryan and he said he would take care of it: He never did and never heard from the company again.I went back to the City, filed a Change Of Contractor form and in just 3 weeks a permit was issued with All Shutter Solutions: They completed the job 3 weeks later. The Hollywood inspector told me the materials were high-quality, their installation was excellent and the permit was officially closed several days later.Two other residents in my condo used Maximum Shutters to install electric screens for their patios and BOTH had to eventually hire other companies to correct mistakes made with their installations. They also said that Maximum Shutters would never answer/return their calls.I dont know why we were lied to, but this review has been posted and a complaint to the Better Business Bureau will be sent shortly afterwards.

There is no one to give an update on my order,after they get your down payment the phone calls from them become like cat and mouse.......just an update. I went into contract with them a few years ago and I really want people to see what truth is out there. If you do a quick search Maximum seems good. But like with other people who have complained communication is not Ryan or Jackies forte. Besides taking a crazy long time to replace a sliding glass door opening and start to install the new shutters I also paid for the old shutters to be rekeyed. Well one shutter couldnt be re-keyed due to an issue and we were assured they would send a set of keys that might work on the lock that never came. We were promised some sort of feedback and got none. I put a review up on FB and it wasnt a good one . Then I was told in basic terms if I take down my review then they would fix the problem or just give me to time of day to figure out a solution for all parties. Well they reimbursed me for the lock they never changed. Well during prep for Irma I discovered there was another lock I paid for that was never changed. I honestly learned my lesson with these contractors and contractors in general. Always check over the work and dig deep on reviews and research. But I would never contact these people even for warranty issues I would rather pay someone else to fix or repair there work if needed. This company needs to be really needs to look inwards at their problems that cause people like me to place a bad review. Its a shame too cause the shutters they installed a great quality....its a shame great product but not a great company that sells and installs it

Hello,My name is Juan Rodriguez and I would like to share with other consumers my continued disappointment with Maximum Shutter Systems (MSS). I have done my best to settle my dissatisfaction with MSS directly first, however the speed in which they operate has made me reach out to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and I am still here disapointed with this company. My BBB complaint is still open because MSS still has not finished to install a hurricane panel system I hired them to do back on 07/21/17.Here is a summary of my experience with MSS:-I hired MSS on 07/21/17 and I was told it would take 1 month to no more than 6 weeks to get the job done.-A week prior to Hurricane Irma (first week of September) I began contacting MSS inquiring about my hurricane panel installation, but they stopped answering my calls and didnt contact me until several days after the hurricane.-I spent $750 in plywood alone to protect my house.-I expressed my disatisfaction to MSS and part of their response was that I did not sent them my HOA approval letter until late August, however, I had sent it to their salesman on 08/02 as he requested but he failed to forward it to wherever he needed to forward it.-I expressed to them they were responsible for $750 but they disagree and offered to let me pay those $750 in 3 parts which I agreed.-After several emails and disagreements they advised me they would come to my house on 09/25 (2 months after I hired them) and they were a NO SHOW. I took a day off but MSS did not show up.-They showed up the following day and completed a very poor job and left my house with dirt and trash all throughout my house and panels for me to collect. On this day they also learned, according to MSS that my walls were faulty.-Even though their job was faulty they scheduled an inspection and failed the inspection.-After several emails and calls they offered to install hurricane tracks (an upgrade according to them) to correct their previous job and I agreed as long as they do it promptly and correct.-On 10/26 MSS finally came to my house to install the tracks and they again left the job unfinished and poorly finished. I sent them an email and they agree to come to my house and get those mistakes corrected. They came to my house and took the permit and advised they would revise and send it back to the city.-I am still waiting and reached to them but no response. I called the city today and learned MSS submitted the revised permit on 11/30 and it was approved on 12/01. The permit is sitting there waiting for MSS to pick it up and schedule an inspection.In my opinion this is the worst company I have ever dealt with in any level, they have been unprofessional at times and completetly unreliable during this entire experience.UPDATEIt took me a while to return here and give an update. Once I finished dealing with MSS, I simply moved on and did not want to waste anymore energy with this experience, however I feel is fair to come here and finish my review.After all my emails, calls and complaints, MSS finally finished and passed inspection on mid December 2017. Throughout time I’ve found some holes on my walls, they left uncovered but I patched and painted over them myself. Once the job was finished, I receive a call from the owner (Ryan), who apologize for the inconveniences and offered me $250 off, which I accepted. I made my payments as agreed. Once my balance was paid I received an email from them again apologizing and offering future assistance if needed.In conclusion, my experience with MSS was bad and no, I would never hire them again or recommend them. Customer service, communication, reliability, professionalism and fair pricing is what I look for when I hire contractors. MSS simply missed on those several times. They were not the cheapest option I had but I chose them because at first, through their salesman I felt I was making the right choice. I was wrong but lesson learned for me, I’ll be more careful next time when I decide to invest in Hurricane rated windows and doors.Juan R

Horrible, extremely rude and didnt even bother to show up to do an estimate as agreed. Does not return emails, the person answering the phone treats clients really bad and has absolutely no skills or manners. Too bad.

Great Company helped me with all my Hurricane preparation for my house.. I wouldnt recommend anyone else but Maximum Shutters.....
