I happened upon this place during my lunch break. It is in the old Publix location so it is a good-sized grocery store. They tend to favor Hispanic foods. They have some bulk selection, some organic, and some vegetarian/vegan foods. I didnt check prices much except the vegetarian/vegan items which seemed a bit high. There is a bakery and deli with prepared foods and tables in the front where you can eat in the store.

Loved the place, Vegetables were fresh and most of stuff was discounted. Definitely going back every weekend.Unfortunately the place was pretty empty due to pandemic or I went there too late but i would recommend this place for groceries shopping.

Great grocery store! Fresh products with great quality for a good price. Really clean and well organized. Also they have hard to find stuff. My highlights so far: white asparagus, celery root and great cuts of meat.

Well the store had good presentation but when I went back to the meat section all of the coffins were empty, except for one or 2 items each. I them walked over for a closer look at some of the meat was turning slightly green and was expired well over two months at the time of writing this review 6/20 per my picture. This could have been frozen this entire time and I do this but I was not aware grocery stores were allowed to do this.

The store’s name says it all. This is a place to fill your ideal food basket. They have everything a conventional market has but the prices are better. BUT the real difference is the rest of the goods. They have an outstanding selection of organic and vegan foods and items from so many cultures. There is something for everyone here. It would take trips to three different stores to get what you get here and you’d pay more. Perfect for families where everyone is eating different things. BUT MANAGEMENT PLEASE GET A BIGGER SIGN. I only found you by accident. You need to call attention to your wonderful store to everyone who passes by. Go here people. You won’t be sorry.

Very open feel, good variety and low prices on many items. We were just there during Independence Day weekend so it was not very busy. Very clean store and we will be back.

I went here to check it out, the best thing I could ever done, such great prices in groceries and deli, the food it’s delicious . Produce have fresh fruit and vegetables. The fish and meat great taste and reasonable prices. I never had such best costumer but in here, cashier are so nice and helpful, and have everything clean. Such safe place for COVID-19😷 !

I saw about it in a local newspaper flyer. I went in and looked. The outside had a sign that read Juice Bar. They had a juice bar. But with no one attending it. I went at 2:30 pm on a Saturday. It was very dead. I guess this place is new. I compared prices. I was not impressed in the least. I most likely will not return. I saw nothing that would make me interested in returning. Its not terrible. But nothing stands out that is even as good as the other grocery stores.

I had accidentally given only one star a few weeks ago, but that was a mistake and I apologize! This new supermarket is very large, clean and uncrowded. I am hoping that will gain more customers asap. It is pleasant to shop at, good prices, friendly staff, however they dont carry all my favorite things, which is why I took a star away. For example, they didnt have my favorite iced coffee choices, which is a must have for me, but file that under first world problems. I do continue to shop there a few times a month!

Used to be win Dixie. Produce seems pretty good good customer service lots of ethnic food and meats. Can goods are a bit higher. Large pre cooked section latin menu if you dont feel like cooking.

Ideal Food Basket is a Latin grocery chain of stores mostly based out of the New York area that is now trying to make inroads in the lucrative but very overcrowded South Florida grocery scene. Publix is still the biggest, follow by Walmart, Walmart Neighborhood Stores, Winn-Dixie, Costco, BJs, Whole Foods, Fresh Market, Target, Trader Joe, Aldi’s, Save A lot, even Family Dollar and General Dollar, along with CVS and Walgreens also sell milk, bread, eggs and many other items. Plus there is also direct competition from the other well established latino stores, like Sedanos, Bravo, Fresco and other smaller ones. So we are pretty lucky to have these many choices to buy food.La Ideal Food Basket took over, what used to be yet another empty Winn Dixie store and to my surprise did a great job and put a lot of money and effort in completely remodeling what used to be a dirty, dingy and sad empty store front.Some of the positives, its a clean, well stocked store, with a lot more variety of latino and ethnic foods than a regular grocery store, a great veggie and fruit section and some really interesting meats and fish to choose from but unfortunately its a ghost town. Not only lacking shoppers but also lacking customer service. Which in many respects, is really the MOST important factor unless of course your talking about Walmart were it does not exist at all but the prices are so low that people are more than willing to compromise until they actually need help and can’t get it or they have to deal with those checkout lines that are 50 people deep!!After a late night trip were I purchased some ice cream, yogurt and other stuff worth about $50 bucks or so. The next day I realized I had left the bag with the ice cream and yogurt inside the car. Nothing intentional here, it was late, I had a long day and accidently left the bag inside the car. When I went back to the store to exchange the items NOT asking for a refund, I was told by the night supervisor lady that there was nothing they could do. I also tried to exchange some stale bread and was told that since I had opened the bag I could not returned it?? But if I didn’t open the bag then how would I know it was stale in the first place?Anywhere else like Publix, Target, Costco, Walmart, etc they would have taken ALL the items back! At Publix their NO questions asked policy is the best in the business. And they always apologize back to you, “Sorry about what happened” Which is ironic but nice and they always give you the option of a refund or store credit.And to be fair the other “Latino” stores like Bravo, Sedano’s, and El Presidente also have strict and sketchy return policies that make it difficult to return items purchased at their stores.In a super crowded South Florida grocery scene, Ideal Food Basket has a steep hill to climb with little margin for error, so I sincerely wish them the best of luck!

Honestly, really great grocery store. It’s very clean and very organized. The service there is immaculate, very kind and patient people. One of the best grocery stores I have ever been to, and trust me, I have been to many. Overall 5/5 experience and I look forward to shopping there again.

This place never seems very busy when I go in and itd be a shame if they went out of business. The prices are AMAZING and their products are great (from what Ive tried so far) too! Great quality produce and meat. Pretty good selection. I really recommend you stop in and check it out. I know its gotta be tough for them to compete with Publix basically next door. I love publix and I will always get certain items there, but I have been able to find a lot of the stuff I need for like half the price at Ideal Basket. Super clean store and friendly staff too. Please try this place, its so great to have another grocery option close by.

Decent selection of food and household items but do not appreciate being treated like a potential thief simply for walking into the store with an empty purchasable canvas shopping bag that I use to carry my paid for items in after shopping here. I wonder if you have that same hostility towards those who wear purses or enter with bags from other stores who are just as capable as stealing. I went in there and shopped like everyone else! Didnt steal a single thing! Edit: You wanted me to give you another chance, well I did. Its even worse now. Bothering people because they shop with backpacks. Not everyone has a car. My backpack serves as my trunk to carry the most heavy items. Leave people alone to shop without harassment! If you do catch a thief, prosecute them. Geez.

I want everyone to know about this place and to give it a try. I often shop at Bravo or something similar for some items and later go to Publix for other items. This place is like both in one. Good prices on the vegetables and produce. They have many products from El Salvador, which my wife loves. I want this place to stay busy so it stays open because I would like to keep shopping here for a long time. Always clean and organized.

Finally I found something very nice and much affordable then Publix next plaza.The 1st time I shopped there my basket was full of everything I needed for a week and the receipt was only $89.Now this is my favorite store to shop. There is a seafood, meat, deli, and a bakery department; as well as a juice bar. Yes, I can see myself shopping here. Most of the items are priced reasonably, I will definitely return.

I buy all my fruit and veggies here! good, tasty. Already peeled and cut at decent prices. I used to see the same in other supermarkets but at outrageous prices; never purchased those. At Ideal, prices are good, reasonable, so I can indulge myself. So much easier, faster and enjoyable to cook at home, without the hassle of peeling and cutting... loooove iiiitttt! Plus very good quality. Please keep it that way, good products and good prices. Seems that other supermarkets dont understand that we are struggling these times and they prefer to throw away spoiled food because due to the high prices didnt sell; than to lower their prices and sell more. I dont think it takes a great marketing degree. So Ideal, keep your prices affordable, youre doing great.

Very nice store. The vegetables and fruits are very fresh. The fish (snapper) is fresh. Staff is friendly. Publix does not have fresh yuca, plantain like Ideal. The tomatoes are good price at Ideal Market, and they taste nice. The only thing I wish you carried was products from middle east and north Africa. Otherwise, I like this store.

Beware of expired products at this store. We bought some plantain chips, which expired in 2020.. their entire shelf was expired. A little disappointing.

This grocery store is simply amazing the prices are fantastic youre always shocked when you go to check out because its cheaper than you expect the quality of the produce is top-notch.The deli has great hot foods that have an amazing price and amazing quality.Marines and Xiomara cook the best Venezuelan food in Broward, I lived in Doral and in Hialeah and nothing compares to as good as ideal foods for Venezuelan food.All the workers are very friendly the place is very very clean I am happy to live near this grocery store.

Definitely a hidden gem. Great prices on produce and meats! Better than Aldi’s prices by a long shot! We went on a Monday afternoon and it was completely empty, but I heard the weekends are busier. I would definitely recommend.

I love this place. The juice bar is reasonable, the Argentinian grass fed beef is amazing, the variety of south and Central American products like sausages and cheeses is great. They have incredible reasonable meats and the fresh seafood (whole snapper) was excellent. The frozen food section has some really fun stuff as well. I have switched to Ideal for almost everything I shop for now as its less expensive and less crowded than Publix.The only thing I go to Publix for is organic chicken (hint hint...)

Driving by with mom we saw this supermarket. It was around 8pm and barely had some people inside. Since pandemic broke, Im the only one doing grocery shopping, I dont want to risk my mom whos (as she says) not 20 anymore. As I said there were few people inside, so I brought her along. Place is big and wide variety of products, good prices for most of them. Even though I liked the idea of having the place mostly for us, and want to think because it was close to closing time; I really do hope they get many, many, many customers to keep up with such a big place. I highly recommend it, everybody was very nice.

I bought two slabs of baby back ribs from here that looked fresh but when I opened the packs both slabs were spoiled. I really wanted to give this place a chance but selling bad meat is a huge no for me. Frozen and dry goods are great but I highly discourage buying meat from here.

The market is basically slanted towards latinos/ some Asian merchandise Ive shopped at bravo and sedanos and if I had a question I usually couldnt get an answer unless I spoke in Spanish to them and I did not have that problem at this market

Very clean store. Some of the items are pretty affordable, some items are over priced. Greens were over watered. Tried their deli, & sliced fruit. Fruit tasted old & the ham & fruit both had this weird taste to it. I’m not sure if it was what they used to cut them or what happened but they both left bad taste in my mouth. Honestly, I personally won’t be returning but it’s an alright store.

Bought some cheese from this place and when I got home it was Sour. I went back 20 minutes later and they tried to give me a hassle about refunding it even though their item was bad. Then I went back a few days later at 9 p.m. and they said they were closed even though they werent supposed to close until 10. Will not be shopping there again
