I am a student pilot who has purchased a plane one year ago. I had my Piper Cherokee annual service done at atlantic aircraft services llc Beverly / Danvers, (Beverly airport) Massachusetts. The owner William Eason qouted me a price of $1,800-$2,100 for my annual. I got a bill for over $5,000 plus he charged me $2,400 to install a audio panel and a portable GPS on my yoke and I supplied the units. The total was $7,436 for all. He had my plane for two months. He had qouted me 2-3 weeks for a time frame. This is only a Piper Cherokee 140 with 2500 total time and a factory rebuilt engine with less than 200 hours.I have not flown it in a few months. I am afraid of it. My dash panel is a mess. All my avionics worked with the exception of one unit. Now my main Nav/com, GPS and other units are not working. I have no side tone. Parts are falling of in the cockpit when flying. He did attempt to tighten the lose items but the fell of again. He tried replacing two of the units with working units and those did not work. He wants me to pay for the shipping and repairs of my units and I wont. he has not been paid for his work and he now has a lien on my aircraft. This guy is a thief. What a mess.
