Stayed for 2 and half hours spent a pay check for lots of music I love this place

Excellent selection if you are looking for vinyl records ! But the owner doesnt really have people skills and He over charged us, so check your prices before you pay! We let Him get by with it but will not happen again !

Main Street and Waterside were my favorite areas to visit. There is a lot of history between the Cotton Mill and Textile industry, RJ Reynolds Imperial Tobacco Company and the railroad system with the story of The Old 97 tragedy.

Best record store Ive visited since the early 90s. Most charge high prices for records just because theyre by people like the Beatles or elvis even if they are more resent repressings or really scratched up. This place never overcharges.

I have bought numerous items from downtown records, Im a bit of a old school collector so I have bought vinyl records, cassette tapes, DVD, Blu-ray and VHS tapes and I must say that Im almost always never disappointed, now the owner does not take any cards so if you go youll need cash... and in no way would I consider the owner rude but he kind of just lets you do your own thing and explore the store, he is a older gentleman so unless youre into really old bluesy music you probably wont have a deep conversation with him LOL

Old school record store Downtown Danville, vA open only on Saturdays. Awesome place very reasonable prices on vinyl records.

Even when you know you have a record worth a lot of money he will try to tell you its not worth anything

Its a hobby for him, so he doesnt really treat it like a true business model Once I accepted the quirky nature of the store I was in vinyl heaven. Prices seemed to be on the higher side to me. He had some rare items that were overpriced(came to discover they werent that rare) . He knows his inventory and has been doing this for over 20 years. Worth visiting. Plan on spending an hour or two here if you love all types of music.

If you like music this is a must visit. We go every weekend he is open. A true treasure.

Overpriced and a COVID-19 transmission hub.

It a great place to get classic vinyl, but the owner is just no so friendly. Would be a 5 star store if the owner was nicer.

Drove 2 hours to get there. Friday afternoon, 2:45PM, greeted with Were closed, what do you want. Ill never go back!

Amazing selection and pricing. This is the best record store I have ever been to, and I have been to plenty over the last 35 years.

Owner is condescending and rude. Selection is decent depending on what youre looking for, but please dont try to use your card for payment. Although there is nothing posted anywhere indicating they only accept cash, the owner will rudely inform you of that once youve spent time looking for what you want and are ready to leave. 🖕🖕

Excellent record store. Huge LP inventory. Also has cassettes. CDs and even some stereo equipment for sale.

Enjoyed very much. Set back several hours to look through it all. I kept getting in places he wasnt ready for consumers to see. Lol. I am woman shopping, it is all free game. He is very helpful, only open Saturdays and does not take cards, so bring cash! As of now he sells different size records, tapes, some 8 track and CDs. Looks like he also might be getting ready for movies and has a few older record players and speakers for sale. Some thing are new. Im not sure if youve ever been to Happys in Roanoke but they used to have the same thing and his prices were much better, unfortunately Happys closed
