Knowledgeable staff and had an amazing sale! We were just going to look and see what if anything they had on sale and ended up with a great new washing machine!!! So happy ππ!! Even better, it was nearly half off from a little over a $1000. No complaints at all! And they helped us load it in the back of our truck. Thanks again guys!!
Perhaps its just me, but if you have customers in the store, breaks/lunches/cigarette breaks and socializing w/spouse/bf (who feels the need to visit you on your job??) are immediately suspended. Also, while Tim did step in to assist, Im more than angry that they sold a warranty for almost twice what Maytag offered it for - which we didnt find out until registered our new purchase. The store was clean. Tim was helpful, but our first impression of his employees wasnt good at all. I will buy from Sears Hometown again, but I will likely go to another location.
Helpful and friendly staff and always willing to assist you in any way possible. If cant answer your questions then will address you to where you need to be. For online orders to pick up at the store is sometimes a bit complicated since they have no control of if, and most of the time items arrived on time sometimes dont. Would recommend it.
Awesome people. This will be my new Sears store. Answered my questions an held my order til I could get there. Just down home friendly people.
Mr Tim was very kind & gracious. He really worked with us so I got the refrigerator that I wanted. The down side? Sears needs to separate the outlet & hometown store items online. Online shows one price but its only available @ outlet store but shows up under hometown store inventory. Mr Tim customer service made it worth a few extra dollars to buy from there.
The staff was very helpful. They made me feel as if I was at home. They were very knowledgeable and helpful with my purchase. And their protection plan is unbeatable. I am thankful for the peace of mind and reassurance they gave me.
I have had great experiences in this store. Sometimes the staff maybe tied up helping others but always acknowledge you and assist as soon as they are free. Just took a weed eater back I was having issues with. The gentlemen in the store heard me out and went and grabbed a new one off of the shelf which was the same model and said here you go, I will take care of the old one . Very helpful and saved me a ton of time.

This store is one of the nicest looking Sears Hometown Stores I have seen! Very clean, friendly, knowledgeable staff, GREAT SELECTION OF APPLIANCES, and the prices are reasonable. Glad to see we have a Sears to go to in Baldwin County!

I purchased a Craftsman Toolbox on wheels the other day. There were no keys to it, so the Manager and his associate spent a lot of time on the phones until they got hold of the right person to send me two replacement keys before I left the store that day. The two keys showed up 2 days later in the mail. Great service!!!
Do Not Buy A Mower From Sears Home Store!We bought two - exactly the same riding mowers, one for each of our properties. One of the mowers after the first use was not working correctly.We called, they sent a tech out ... fast forward - 5 techs later, mower will work for one cutting ( still does not sound right or cut the same as the exact same one we bought for our other property) and then it will not start again .... we are one month away from our 1yr warranty being up and were just told we need to purchase the extended warranty in order to have any hopes of getting a replacement mower (if they deem us worthy) because now their rule is you must have a tech out atleast 7 times!What happened to the lemon π law? 3 times out in attempt to fix ? We paid cash for 2 mowers, exactly the same mowers, and your trying to tell us that this one is not a π????I will continue to post this review until this sears home store does what is right!

Its a shame that 1 star is the least rating I can give. In my 37 years, I have never experienced such poor customer service as I have with Sears regarding a recent purchase. If you dont value your $$$ and love throwing it away, then, please, by all means go right ahead and shop there.I purchased a kayak from Sears online last month for pick up at the Daphne location. After completing the order, I received 2 separate order totals, one for $166 and change, the other for $191 and change. It was my understanding that the total would be $166, however, I was charged $191+, despite having an order total of $166 on my account on Sears website.Contacting Sears customer service proved to be absolutely futile and a complete waste of time. When requesting to speak with a supervisor, all the customer service rep does is transfer you to another rep posing as their case manager. Their call office is also located on the other side of the planet and sadly, the reps are very difficult to understand, complicating the issue even further.Thinking I would have a chance of resolving the issue at the Daphne store, I went to pick up the kayak only to be issued a receipt reflecting $217 and change. This would be the third separate order total I received and $51 more than what I thought I originally paid.I attempted to resolve the issue with the lady working in the store and all she did was throw up her hands, saying she didnt know what to do and give me a card to the same 1-800 # that I had already spent several hours with. If anything, it looks like their level of customer service, or lack thereof, is at least consistent throughout the company.I mentioned to her that I would like to return the kayak at that time and she told me that I could not do that, but would instead have to call the 1-800# and arrange for a return through them. I immediately called them when I got in the car on my way home and sure enough, they instructed me that the item could be returned from the location where I picked it up. The lady in the store just didnt want to deal with it and like all the other Sears employees, just passed my problem off to someone else instead of taking any initiative to correct it herself. No wonder their company is in financial ruin.I attempted to post a review through the Sears Daphne hometown store website, but it mysteriously disappeared. They only have positive reviews posted through that site, which is an absolute joke.I ultimately spoke with one of the Sears reps through their chat function, who stated they would credit me back $20 to my Sears card account.I also made them put it in writing and send me an email stating that I would have the credit issued back to my account. 3 weeks later and still no credit. I decided to call them today to find out what the deal was and was told that there was a error made, on multiple occasions, and that I could not be credited back the $20 to my account, but the only thing they could do was credit me in shop your way rewards points, which I emphatically stated I did not want.They are absolutely worthless, the worst business entity I have ever dealt with and by far the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. Its no wonder they get a 1/10 through the consumer affairs website and horrible ratings through every other ratings agency/website out there. They dont care about their customers and flat out lie to your face.I will be filing a report with the Better Business Bureau. I dont know what good it will do, but Ive got an email from Sears stating I would be credited back the $20 to my Sears charge account. They acknowledged the email, but stated it was a mistake and there was nothing more they were willing to do about it. I have had a Sears card for 17 years, my parents since 1976 and I can say for certain that no one in my family will ever give them any business whatsoever again, and I plan on letting as many people as possible know of the clusterf**k Ive had to deal with.

Worst customer service EVER. Wouldnt let me use the bathroom 9 months pregnant .then they used a address I dont even know and REFUSE to change it. Telling me to wait till I get my delivery so my bill will be going else where π‘π‘ will NEVER be returning back here. NOT only have they screwed up delivering the washer and dryer they called the wrong number and got my childrens father in trouble when they were specifically suppose to call me .will NEVER get my service again .
I purchased a mower from this location almost two years ago. The franchise owners and employees were all wonderful at the time of purchase. A couple months ago the self propelled function stopped working. I called the store, they pulled up my information and told me to drop the mower off and theyll take it from there. I dropped it off February 10th they told me it would take 3-4 weeks to repair. I received a call yesterday saying its ready to pick up. Sears for the most part has a bad reputation and in most cases rightfully so. However this is a franchise store and I believe the people who own and work here will do more for you than Lowes or Home Depot.
I had an unpleasant experience, but am happy to say the Sears team in Daphne made it all work out. I spoke with George and he made sure the problem was quickly resolved. Problems happen many times, but when you have a contact person who works on your behalf-well, that makes consumers feel much better. Thank you, George!
First time dealing with the Daphne Alabama location and I can say that George is awesome to deal with he was very helpful and had a vast knowledge of the merchandise that his store was selling!
I would like to commend Eric Ted and Tim from the Daphne store everything they have help me with an even installing today was wonderful its greatly appreciated and I will let everybody know how wonderful you all were and after the bad experience online it was a welcome sight to have what happened today but to them they need Kudos and thank you thank you thank you.John and Terri Yeend
