We stopped here to get fuel and use the restroom. The station is not located close to the interstate. It is located near a Park and Ride commuter lot. The gas was about $1.30 more per gallon than the average price from Fayetteville, NC to Plymouth,MA at $3.66 per gallon. The store has a huge inventory crammed into a tiny area of square footage. To be honest, and use the restroom as a customer, I paid for an over priced Vitamin water. When my husband walked in with his clearly identified service dog, the attendant over-reacted and tried to kick him out. My husband was a customer, too and insisted that he was in the store with a legally registered service animal. We didnt want to cause a scene so we left. We certainly wouldnt return, even if the fuel was affordable. We were definitely not welcome. On the other hand, while we were still on the premises, a man came in and paid for $20.00 worth of gas. Even he was not politely greeted nor shown any thanks or appreciation for his purchase. The customer took an interest in Trooper. We talked about his Subaru as he pumped his fuel. He was a nice guy and appeared to reflect a better impression as a citizen of Darien, CT than the Gulf gas stations employee.
